My reading of Session’s position is that he is insisting that the law, as it is, be enforced. Not an unreasonable position to me.

Senator Paul, rather than whining about enforcing the law, should spend his energy and political capital, such as it is, on changing the law. First step is to convince everyone to agree on the categorization of “drug epidemic”, is it a public health or law enforcement issue?
