If they're smart they'll realize Elizabeth Warren is a bad call. She's another East Coaster who appeals only to the base and isn't that likeable, although to the left she might not have much baggage. Michelle would drive out the Obama coalition again, and most importantly her only baggage is her husband's presidency, and that's only if the left comes to grips with how lost it become under Obama, which is unlikely. Booker is a maybe but he has some baggage to the left on things like school choice

The left might realize now that running career politicians may never work again because they have an entire career of corruption that could be exposed at any time, so Michelle, or even a prominent lefty in showbiz like Oprah, wouldn't surprise me that much. It was always interesting to me to see people who shit on Trump for lack of experience in the same breath that they wished that Michelle would run.

That being said, lack of experience doesn't bother me too much. I feel like there is this strong belief that lack of experience is the problem, rather then just straight up wrong ideas being extolled. Or when people attempt to measure Congress' work by how many laws they pass.

Grand jury indicts doctors in genital mutilation case

A federal grand jury issued the country's first indictment for female genital mutilation Wednesday against two doctors and a spouse for allegedly cutting 7-year-old girls and conspiring to cover up the crime.

The indictment adds new charges to a case that is providing insight into a small, insular Muslim community in Metro Detroit and an illegal procedure performed on young girls.

Until Wednesday, Northville Dr. Jumana Nagarwala was the only person charged with performing female genital mutilation. The indictment accuses Farmington Hills Dr. Fakhruddin Attar and his wife, Farida Attar, of committing female genital mutilation.

The indictment alleges the three were involved in a widening conspiracy targeting minor victims since 2005 and claims they tried to cover up the crimes by lying to federal agents and deleting evidence.

There are a variety of types varying by severity. That's one of them. At the most minor, they just make a small symbolic cut on the labia. At the most extreme, they're cutting off a lot of the labia in addition to the clitoris and then sewing the whole thing up.
