Brickbat: Seeing White

The Los Angeles Unified School District has notified parents at Walter Reed Middle School it will face budget cuts because its student population is too white. Under a 1970s court order dealing with desegregation, schools that are less than 30 percent white get more funding. Officials say the school has been above that level for a couple of years.
