Why was it wrong
You know why.

Hello.
"Donald Trump says approval ratings are rigged."
Not to say nothing but...it's the progs who started with this it's all 'rigged' crap.
Trump is gonna make it a feature.
Buon giorno
Seems like Trump is not only willing to play their game, but win at it too.
That's why they hate him so much and are going nuts about his win, paisano.
Hello
So it was fucked when the progs were doing it, but now that Trump's constantly screeching about how unfair the world is to him, it's a-okay. Because Team.
I eagerly await the "Obama did it first" rationalizations when Trump starts skullfucking the Constitution in earnest.
She's some sort of evil pro-(school)choicer?
Repealing the Affordable Care Act would result in many Americans losing their coverage.
...again, since most of those people lost coverage the first time when the Act was enacted.
...again, since most of those many more people lost coverage the first time when the Act was enacted.
FIFY
Is that true? I thought I saw something saying more people would lose it in the repeal, but I didn't investigate the claim....
R.I.P. CA drought.

Yes, people were kicked off their plans, but most bought expensive crappy plans. I had to. Estimates are 35-50 million.
Just think about this Lynch: "If you like your doctor you can keep your doctor. If you like your plan you can keep your plan."
Obama said that. What does that mean?
Also, Robby, what fucking difference does it make if people have insurance that they cant afford to use? If having insurance that you cant use is more expensive than not having insurance, isnt losing it a good thing?
He was summarizing the link that he linked to.
Trump should simply declare that if you like your gigh deductible plan and the doctor you never saw you can keep them.
That should shut the naysayers up.
Well, I got my IRS letter today telling me I'll be paying a penalty if I don't sign up.
Sounds like they mean business.
Take a stick and draw a hand flipping the bird with some fresh catshit on a napkin and mail it back to them.
I am told that to qualify for one of the many "exemptions" to the penalty, it is only necessary to have a copy of a shut-off notice from your utility company for non-payment for that year. Thus, you have proof of financial hardship. Note, it's not necessary to get your electric shut off, you just need the nasty-gram threatening it.
One of the people who works for me swears that s/he has done this for 3 years now with no trouble. Use that as you will.
Fake news.
@realDonaldTrump: The same people who did the phony election polls, and were so wrong, are now doing approval rating polls. They are rigged just like before.
He actually has a point.
Agreed. He smacked the media down harder than he did Hillary. With authority(Cartman's voice).
I have only looked at Zero Hedge's coverage of this linked by Drudge, but it definitely appears to be the same ridiculous oversampling of Democrats we saw during the election. Those who identify as Republicans are at recent highs, while the number of registered Democrats has dipped. The two are nearly even, yet they consistently poll 8% more Dems. There's no justification for it.
It's still not as bad as CNN's post-debate polls where like 60% of respondents were already Hillary supporters.
"Those who identify as Republicans"
So, if I identify as a Republican, do I get to use the executive washroom?
No. That is only for actual members of the KKKochtopus.
The pollsters consistently use 8% more Democrats because 8% more people identify as Democrat than Republican. According to polls.
People don't identify as Heffalumps because they don't want to send the wrong social signal. It's starting to bite the Donkeys in the dick.
http://www.gallup.com/poll/188.....-lows.aspx
No they don't. 29% to 26%.
Sarcasm meter check is due.
mORE fake newz! Who is this Gallup organization you link to?
Does anyone think he is wrong?
Donald Trump says approval ratings are rigged.
LOL. This guy is our Whiner-in-Chief.
C'mon it's Whiner-in-Chief-Elect.
3 moar days to stop the Trumpocalypse!
The soon-to-be Whiner-in-Chief has managed to get the media into a whiny chorus.
Ryan Zinke, Donald Trump's pick for Secretary of the Interior, doesn't believe climate change is a hoax and opposes the transfer of federal lands to state control.
Well then what the hell good is he?
Yeah, f@ck that moron!
As a Montanan, I concur. The badass Navy Seal is weak sauce as a politician, and has far more ambition than principle.
And he doesn't want to sell off any federal land. As an Idahoan this pisses me of. I'm ready to buy.
Paging Waffles.
5 more feet on the way next week.
nice!
Isn't most of that snowmelt just going to run into the Pacific ocean and not be utilized?
Yes. Because of Federal lawsuits and incompetence in Sacramento.
I think Waffles will use it before it melts, though.
Then nobody's gonna want to use it.
Oh, wait, you meant skiing.
Why is this snow the color of my multi-vitamin?
Why would you ever put a multi-vitamin that looks like that in your mouth?
Euphemism
And how do you get a GMO vitamin?
I think I will indeed. Six more days of powder!
What were John Belushi's last words?
His boogers had to get fat skiis.
Skiing on cocaine is a waste of skiing and cocaine. The cardiac risk is too high and chairlifts are unbearably slow.
And who can afford that much cocaine?
I thought that they were boogers, but they're bloody scabs.
Well if it comes in the form of snow it won't really start running off until May or June. That should give enough time to utilize some of the reservoir water. The last good winter was 2010-2011. In late June the snowpack was still 6 feet deep on the mountain passes (~7000 ft above sea level).
Hooray!
Are you in Tahoe?
Unfortunately no. It's a 90-110 mile commute. I have to pick my days carefully to maximize powder and minimize the clusterfuck caravan from the bay.
Ugh. I went skiing on Sunday, and I think I blew my knee out. Going for an MRI tomorrow. My season might be over, and.... so much snow.
US President Barack Obama commutes Chelsea Manning's sentence for leaking documents to Wikileaks.
How much of his motivation is from Manning being a transwoman, while Snowden is a cis-het-white-male-patriarch?
I'm sure it wasn't NOT taken into consideration...
All of it.
I dunno. Another guess would be because Manning served time and cooperated; Snowden is still hanging out in Russia. And we all know how the current administration feels about Russia.
Snowden embarrassed Obama.
This is the real difference. It was bad politics to commute Manning while abusing the Espionage Act for 8 years so Manning had to sit and rot. Snowden, though, harmed the Light Bringer and is stuck in Russia.
Obama needed no help.
I never thought of it from this angle but it makes perfect sense, bacon-magic.
^ THIS.
^^ SQUARED
He got caught and served time.
And deserved it... 35 years might have been a tad harsh, but only just a tad.
Manning should not even be discussed anywhere in relation to Snowden.
Manning was NOT a whistle-blower in any sense of the concept.
He was more. He revealed war crimes.
And a bunch of other shit too - iow, he didn't discriminate because he wasn't doing anything out of principle. He was just doing it because the army gave him the sads when they told him he couldn't dress in women's clothing.
+1 Max Klinger
I agree too. Snowden and Manning are on two different levels. The only reason Manning gets any sympathy on the left is because he's trans. If it weren't for that he would be all but forgotten by now. There are plenty of people sitting in Leavenworth for same things Manning did. Manning showed no principle, he just data dumped what he has access to.
He had principal of you could call it that. He joined planning to do what he did. He's gay, hated dadt and knew he had a clean enough background to get his hands on the kind of stuff he dumped. He's a jack ass at minimum and a full blown traitor who put lives at risk.
I'm too cynical about Obama to give him any freakin' benefit of doubt.
Everything from his hope-and-change bullcrap, selfie-stick video to his photo-op looking out a bus window like Rosa Parks suggests he's a phony f***.
It serves some political purpose, rest assured.
He gets free transgender hero points for Manning - and anybody that criticizes the commutation is just outing themselves as transphobic as well as racist for criticizing Obama. It's a no-lose proposition.
He gets free transgender hero points for Manning
What good does that do him now? Is he going to run for senate again or something like that?
-jcr
Manning is probably seen as a goldmine in that regard.
Sort of a combination of
"Look how good of a person I am releasing this person (since keeping her locked up doesn't benefit me any longer)!!"
"Did I mention she's a Trans Woman??"
"Also her original arrest should remind you of all the times Republicans were the bad guys. Iraq and stuff!!"
Manning embarrassed Bush's administration -- Snowden embarrassed Obama's.
^What he said.
This is THE answer
^This. Thanks Grrizzly and B-M.
tadaaaaa
And Snowden is a weirdo libertarian who embarrassed Obama and is not afraid to call him out.
How many commenters are going to get the correct answer "embarrassed" right?
None will say it with my style.
True, not a true.
Commutation, not pardon. Snowden hasn't been convicted of anything.
And O's still got 2 days to pardon him, if he wants.
If he wants?
He still has two days to murder-drone him too.
Does he have to draw a bright red line first or can he go straight to the disposition matrix?
Snowden embarrassed the Obama Administration. I think he could be a trans-otherkin furry and Obama wouldn't pardon him.
How much of it is from Manning's efforts not being as politically damaging to his administration as Snowden's?
Is he not merciful?
Fuck Obama.
Not with Warty's Doomcock?, Playa. It's not safe to piss off a Wookie.
So who's going to pay for his transitioning now?
PM Links = SCOOPED
Why was it wrong, in the opinion of certain Democrats, for Betsy DeVos to give money to a civil liberties group?
Because the Democrats' religion is government, and filling state coffers with stolen money is their version of charity.
And why is Robby linking to a pay-walled site?
FYTW
I pay $28/month for a digital subscription. Worth every penny.
I believe I pay something like $5/month.
I only paid a dollar/month the first six months and then it went up.
We believe TANSTAAFL but Robby is taking it too far. 😉
/sarc
Do you expect him to check where those links actually point to?
He doesn't expect any of us to click on them; why should he?
She's got Betsy DeVos eyes.
Bloodshot from Amway soap?
Kim Carnes keeps em in a jar.
Kinda OT: My aunt had a glass eye resulting from her heroin days.
My step-dad's theme song for her? Sammy Davis Eyes.
Any good stories? Ever take a dick in there?
Would not surprise me.
Reminds me of a joke. The punch line is "I'll keep an eye out for you".
Various outlets announcing that Obama commutes Chelsea Manning's sentence.
Just in time for the Women's March on Washington!
*combines narrowed gaze with slow clap*
As opposed to the (penicillin resistant) Superclap from the Philippines. Trobicin, breakfast of champions!
*very fast penicillin resistant, shows symptoms next day. I went to the VA hospital right after after discharge (no pun intended, well... maybe) and return to CONUS. The VA doctor was a beautiful young blonde. I explained that it was my last night in the Philippines and, well... I was embarrassed.
Why was it wrong, in the opinion of certain Democrats, for Betsy DeVos to give money to a civil liberties group?
Because they deny that FIRE is indeed a civil liberties group because they are non-goodthinkful.
I should give them money. Not only for their work, but I also like Alan Charles Kors, whom I've listened to numerous times in various Teaching Company lectures. And he's one of us.
"The Women's March: for people who think "inclusivity" means something other than what it means."
I'm calling it now. Republican supermajority in 2018, and Trump wins a in a landslide in 2020.
I'd agree, but one can never underestimate the ability of the GOP to screw things up.
Yeh but I think the other side is gonna fuck things up more.
In Lake Washington DC all the pols are below normal.
Not if CNN starts editing more videos like they promised.
Can't link to it from work but go Google the latest cover issue of Vanity Fair. These are the people that think they're going to lead the Democratic Party out of the wilderness and make progressive ascendant again in America.
I can't find it from a non-restricted connection. They must not have it online yet. Legacy media with dead tree editions often delay putting their current edition online to motivate people to buy the paper.
I take it you've seen the Variety cover.
I haven't. Standby.
Oh, for fucks sake.
Lol.
It's a masterwork of Photoshop, I will give it that.
Link?
See RBS below.
The guy from Hamilton should be embarrassed.
Oh, I guess the guy on the left is the one who addressed Pence. Good career move.

Repealing the Affordable Care Act would result in many Americans losing their coverage.
It's nice to see Reason continue to beat the drum that we need to continue the welfare state because it would be painful not to. How does this differ from any other entitlement the government provides?
Robby with another lazy addition of PM Links.
More to the point - the relatively small portion of people who gained insurance through subsidy will lose their insurance. Most people in the individual market have been stuck with crappy insurance that they are even less likely to use than before. They were in that individual market before, lost their plans, and ended up with something crappier and more expensive. They'll buy new ones like they have been every year.
They might lose it. Hopefully, we really free up the market. They won't be out of coverage for long.
It's the best solution.
I'm sure the next solution will be more final.
Well, there's Carousel, though I think a free market in healthcare and health insurance would work better.
Give the guy a break, he spent his three day weekend researching how to change a tire.
And even then the tire somehow managed to catch fire.
Random tangent... I just blew out a sidewall in a pothole (yes, yes, euphemism) the other day, and TireRack.com was so much less of a pain in the ass than when I got my wife's tires replaced 2 weeks ago at a local tire shop. I got an email when the tire was delivered, I paid 30 bucks for them to mount and balance the tire, and I was on my way.
$30? Damn. I thought when the local price went from $7.50 to $12 and then to $20 in four years was a rape.
To be sure, Robby was probably assigned the PM Links and didn't really want to do them.
Repealing the Affordable Care Act would result in many Americans losing their coverage.
Well, that's true. And yanking coverage from people is unpopular. We do ourselves a great disservice if we fail to acknowledge that many positions advanced here are unpopular. We also do a generally poor job of explaining those positions to the great unwashed masses.
But, ugh!, does he have to say it??
We are supposed to be the bench that embraces reality, however harsh. We are out in the wilderness, and may be so for some time, but part of that is because our ideas lack traction with the public. If we ever do get our time in the limelight it would behoove us to be able to explain why repeal without replace is desireable. Look at the people who weren't prepared with a plan or even good talking points.
"Sure we are going to have people lose their coverage. And we're giving it back to those who got kicked off of their coverage by Obamacare. So more people will benefit from this than will lose out. And the people benefiting are the ones that are PAYING their own way. So fuck off."
-That's what Trump should tweet
I explain it just fine.
"Bitch, you're gonna take what you get, and you're gonna like it!"
You are now on my bucket list of H-n-R commenters to meet. We have very similar outlooks on life.
Forget it, Tonio; it's Hit-n-Runtown. (Seriously, there's a psychology doctoral dissertation waiting to be written on why lower-case "l" libertarians are almost completely incapable of acknowledging that there will be dislocation and suffering associated with switching to free market approaches for many things and that such dislocation and suffering is likely to lead to a anti-free market political backlash if the transition process isn't handled carefully.)
There's dislocation involved in the institution of regulations and government programs. It has never stopped the progressives. Their game is all about making people dependent on benefits and repealing painful. You can only play their game so much before you end up stuck with a monstrously bloated welfare state.
Obamacare fucked a whole lot of people over. There is no painless way to extract the 12 inch dildo that it is, but I'd rather it was done now and all at once.
It's true in isolation, but it will probably not happen in reality. In essence, this is a talking point for democrats to scare-monger against repeal. Good job repeating it Robby!
I wonder how many of those Americans vote Republican...I bet Romney knows.
Soave was summarizing a link, stupid.
Repealing the Affordable Care Act would result in many Americans losing their coverage.
Proof of why sh1t that's done by government is hard to undo.
What is that supposed to mean?
I don't believe Climate Change is a "hoax" either...
....but i still think every liberal policy-demand using Climate Change as an excuse* is completely full of shit.
(*e.g. carbon-rationing/taxes/credits, bioethanol mandates, attempts to micromanage energy markets via regulation, anti-fracking regulation, multilateral international non-binding treaties with bullshit 'targets', etc etc etc.)
The actual headline in the link =
Interior nominee will review Obama limits on oil and gas drilling
my point exactly. who cares what he thinks about what's a "hoax" or not? He seems to know good policy from bad.
Robby is building a portfolio to shop his services to Huffington Post. To be sure, even they laugh at him.
I hear Rolling Stone may have an opening.
This isn't a joke. He will go to Vox or Huffington Post next.
Very little is lost when you lose "coverage" with deductibles so high you don't ever go to the doctor.
I'm just hoping that, when my employer's plan year ends, i'll have access to a plan that actually, you know, has a network.
That's how they ration services. I have to cough up 1800/month to get to a decent doctor network.
That's over $21K/yr. Why bother?
Especially when you can just wait until you need it and then buy it.
At $1,800 a month there's obviously no subsidy and buying direct means there is still no turndown.
You can't just buy insurance when you break your leg. There's an open enrollment period, and it's usually every 12 months.
That's only if you buy through the exchanges. The only function of the exchange is to get a subsidy and you , as me, don't qualify.
You can buy insurance direct from BCBS at anytime under the same rules as buying through the exchange but without exposing every piece of personal info they require.
If you break a leg go to the emergency room.
My experience is that this isn't true. The only reason I was able to get coverage that starts Feb 1 was that my prior insurance stopped in January. Otherwise, I was stuck in open enrollment. The only exception was the non-Ocare eligible short term catastrophic crap.
My experience is that it is exactly true.
Not sure why you had problems, but you shouldn't have.
I'm not sure, either. It was a bit of a complicated situation (one insurance plan was ending mid-month, wife is pregnant, moving across state lines the day after the previous insurance plan expired, etc.), but the impression I got from BCBS and the other companies was that a qualifying event was required to get insurance outside of open enrollment.
We had a qualifying event, so maybe I didn't look into it deep enough. I do know that it was impossible to get coverage that started before 2/1/17 because my insurance didn't end until 1/9/17, and they wouldn't overlap coverages.
Have to buy it anyway. May as well pay for something that covers vaccines for the kids.
Rack rates for vaccines are ridiculous. Hundreds of bucks a pop.
But for that much a month you could buy all you wanted.

Repealing the Affordable Care Act would result in many Americans losing their coverage
Funny how passing the affordable care act resulted in many Americans losing their coverage.
Should also mention that the ACA has reduced the rate at which the middle class uses their insurance. Reason is equating paper coverage with actual healthcare services provided.
Funny how passing the affordable care act resulted in many Americans losing their coverage.
But they got to replace it with a shittier product that cost more!
"If you like your coverage..."
The women's rights march might be in trouble. Five years ago there were two genders, now there are 29. Sad that the genderflux, genderless, genderfluid, demigender, agender, and their (find new word for brethren) will not be able to attend, because, women.
Xe has a sad.
Demigender sounds cool. I want to be that one.
Why do you people always exclude my favorite - the genderfucks?
I saw the Genderfucks play with VooDoo Glow Skulls and REO Speeddealer at the Foothill in Signal Hill in 1999.
Reddit told me that today is the anniversary of the death of Skanderbeg, arguably biggest badass general the Balkans produced since Alexander of Macedon (after whom he was nicknamed).
Of course, that was just a warm-up act. His real prowess was demonstrated in kicking the shit out of Ottomans when no other country could manage it.
That was one tough dude.
When the Albanians are better at removing kebab than the Serbians, your culture should be having a existential crisis.
Eh, we removed them in the end, and they didn't. Doesn't stop Skenderbeg from being awesome, though.
Removing the Ottomans after their Best Before date does significantly decrease the achievement though. Fighting the Sick Man of Europe or the Shadow of Allah that threatens Europe?
Ryan Zinke believes in climate change. Thank goodness he made his auto de fe.
Auto de fe? What's an auto de fe?

I think you missed the Mel Brooks reference.
Let's face it. You can't Torquemada anything!
It's what you oughtn't to do, but you do anyway!
MA man arrested for driving 112 on I-95 in NH
State police say Mark Schwarz, 23, of Byfield, Mass., was arrested Monday at 8:08 a.m. after state police aircraft with the Special Enforcement Unit clocked him driving 112 mph in a 65 mph zone on I-95 North in Hampton Falls. Schwarz was driving a 2007 Nissan Maxima and was pulled over by state police, who charged him with reckless driving. He is due in Seabrook Circuit Court on March 9.
Oh, he was going north on Monday morning. That's how he was able to do 112 MPH. Otherwise there would have been too much traffic.
Fastest I've been on freeway was 135. Never would be able to do that in that same stretch today.
My old Camry had a chip. Throttle turns off at 110.
A Maxima will do like 150, so loafing?
Same here. 135 crossing the James River Bridge in Virginia. It's normally a rather bumpy ride, but it was smooth as glass that time.
Which bridge? Manchester?
165mph on some sweet Texas back roads
Excellent band porn name.
127 is the fastest Ive been. 69 suburban, scary as hell in that thing.
Monday being a holiday probably also helped.
What holiday? Some of us had to work.
Racist!
I applaud this guy for using a Nissan Maxima for its intended purpose. I can't count the number of times I've been stuck behind a Maxima going at or below the speed limit in the left lane. Get an Altima if you want to drive slow!
Maxima was one of the more interesting cars I got to drive while renting a standard/economy model. It also helped that I was renting it in Utah where the speed limit is 80 mph on some roads -- that's fast after only 65 anywhere in MA.
Fleeing MA?
Eh, you can do that with any automobile that has working tail lights.
Wait, those signs that say "Speed monitored by aircraft" aren't a bluff? We need to cut funding immediately!
Just wait till they put up a bunch of speed monitoring drones.
Top NATO general echoes Trump's 'obsolete' criticism
Shocker = NATO would be better off being able to actually serve its core mandate rather than as a prosthetic extension of US policy. But god forbid any journalist actually grasp that.
Well, they would grasp it if a Democrat was suggesting to rollback our overaggressive foreign policy in NATO's name.
Yep. At this point most of the media are essentially, "Team Blue = good, Team Red = bad."
A repeal could increase the number of uninsured Americans by 32 million in 10 years, the report said, while causing individual insurance premiums to double over that time.
A couple notes: this CBO study was requested by the Democrats, and it covers the specific scenario where the pre-existing conditions clause is left in place with none of the funding or the individual mandate.
That is to say, it measures the costs of a situation that will absolutely not be our health care law at any point in the future.
That is also to say, it measures the costs of doing the exact thing that Rand Paul specifically warned against doing.
IDK. See Juvenile Bluster's note upthread about the GOP's ability to screw things up.
"Last Call"
Obama handing out money as fast as possible before the till gets closed
what's that you say? congress controls the purse? ha ha ha oh, you and your 'checks and balances'.
The purse has a credit card with a balance of $20 trillion.
He's hitting the ATM for a cash advance and giving that cash away.
"stop payment"
Obama borrows 1 billion to give to poor countries to lower their carbon emissions.
If they are poor countries how do they have enough industry to need 1 billion ?
But you can build a nice Presidential Library with some of that!
A horrible story
The smiles radiate from photos posted online by friends: Grace Packer sporting an impish grin as a toddler, floating happily in a pool as a young teen, leaning in to talk to a friend at her school lunch table.
But the 14-year-old posted a more haunting picture, a forlorn selfie taken in a dimly lit room, when she opened a Facebook account last year and invited people to comment on it. No one did.
At the time, police believe, Grace's adoptive mother and the mother's boyfriend were plotting to kill her.
A little later in the story:
Yet she had endured a lifetime of pain and loss, from sex abuse allegations that led her birthparents to lose custody when she was 3, to the indecent assault that sent her adoptive father to prison when she was 10, to the unimaginable rape-murder fantasy that prosecutors say led Sara Packer and boyfriend Jacob Sullivan to kill Grace in July.
Reason to support the death penalty, #37,902.
Yep, what horrible evil people
Ditto
It seems a contributing factor to this was an utter fuck-up on the part of child welfare authorities. Which isn't a surprise, given the history of such.
I'm reminded of something some posted here about Child Protective Services doing nothing about the real sick fucks, but lots to harass ordinary parents.
They fear the sick fucks but not the suburban parents who's children walk home from the park unsupervised.
Her job:

No way. Some people destroy my optimism for humanity.
I try to be a hard-shelled sonofabitch as much as possible, but reading stories like that where a kid has a horrible home life and then dies either negligently or is murdered by those who are supposedly parents or guardians.....man, that shit makes me bawl like a baby.
Scientists create killer mice!
Repealing Passing the Affordable Care Act would resulted in many Americans losing their coverage.

Why is this news not at the top of PM links?
Disclosure: once you go heated seats, you never go back.
I had one. Came with the house, previous owners were Japanese. I took it out and sledgehammered it so it would fit in the trash can. And then I found out how much they sell for on eBay.
Once you get over the feeling being anally raped by the water jet, it's not too bad. The heated seat in the middle of a cold night is the shit.
I had the same experience trading records with Diplo
Do those sell for over 1 grand used too?
nope. really its more just the pain of realizing you let things go without knowing their true value.
my history w/ music equipment is even worse. Some how i managed to retain everything that ended up worthless, but traded away/sold/abandoned tens of thousands of dollars worth of stuff assumed at the time to be 'junk', or at least no longer useful.
I didn't know you were a sitzpinkler. :-p
If you don't like to sit to take a shit, feel free to use the pit toilets and crouch instead :p
That might help. One place I stayed in Japan had a heated toilet seat but I could never figure out the controls. I used to have to turn it off as I nearly burned my ass most of the time. But still a better option that the crouch pits in the public toilets.
Pro Tip: The 4th from the right is not the mustache washer.
So what are the standing odds on a Clinton Pardon? is there somewhere i can bet on this?
Probably low, tbh. If it happens it will be at 11:50 AM on Friday.
Do you think it'll happen?
My bet would be "against", but it would be because i assume the odds are strongly in favor. i don't actually know.
I can't even think if he will. It seems like they would do that, but would Obama risk it? a time would be 'as late as possible'...
These last days of Obama are interesting.
If he does, it'll be the final nail in Clinton's political coffin.
The Obama legacy would be dirtier as well.
I actually want it to happen. It'll be an admission of guilt as far as I'm concerned.
And you know what? She'll break another law within 5 minutes of the pardon. She gets off on power and not following the rules. Even a blanket pardon won't cover that.
Absolutely.
it certainly makes the media claims that she was already "exonerated" by Comey seem a little awkward.
Catch 22. Pardon and save her guilty ass, or take the risk and see Hillary potentially end up making license plates in that orange jump suit of hers? I bet Obama would like the second scenario, but then again, the Clintons have dirt on him they would release if that came to pass, so.....
According to urbandictionary, a Clinton Pardon is when your wife forgives for penetrating a chubby intern with a cigar, and then cumming all over the front of her dress.
NSFW, of course.
*your wife forgives you for penetrating a chubby intern with a cigar, and then cumming all over the front of her dress.
You are a horrible person.
Some eye-bleach to scorch your retinas.
NOT funny.
This is not normally my style - and she is no Sean Hannity - but you may dig it.
that was unkind, crusty. Unkind.

Unless you work in the Oval Office
Monica Lewinsky eats presidential ass. Do you?
I dunno, but since the Democrats are apparently adamant about putting the FBI on trial in order to de-legitimize Trump's, the FBI is going to be rather keen on saving their own reputation by proving that she did indeed belong in prison and the investigation was politically rigged. If they manage to get Lynch tried or disbarred, it would be a bonus.
I hope the Donald pardons her. It forever stains her legacy and allows him to claim credit for "moving on" from the bitterness of the election.
Yes, but make it a very limited scope pardon. Something that allows her to be prosecuted if more salacious stuff comes out in 6 monts.
The Women's March: for people who think "inclusivity" means something other than what it means.
NEWSFLASH: Feminists can't organize a good march without help from the patriarchy.
Organization? I know some (((people))) who can help with that.
Germans?
Lesbians?
Donald Trump thinks approval ratings are rigged.
Obama mommas like Soave think they aren't, which is why they make complete fools out of themselves telling their barber in Michigan he has absolutely no chance of winning.
Yomomma mommas like Piave think they aren't, which is why they make complete fools out of themselves telling their barber in Bitchigan he has absolutely no chance of winning.
CIA Director DESTROYS Trump With This One Comment
Trump, I'll ignore a lot of screw-ups and stupid policies, if you do just one thing:
Destroy the CIA.
Unlikely but I can dream.
I hope Clapper goes to jail.
It is like these people are paid BY Trump to say these things. Do people who write for WaPo think that if the outgoing CIA director denigrates Trump it will hurt Trump?
Sorry, WaPo is now sitting Salon, Slate, and Vox on the "worthless progpaganda rag" list. Maybe if a reputable paper covers the story.
How DARE you question our integrity!!
Um.....Iraq WMD? Russian 'hacks election'? Trump's strumpet golden showers?
Maybe the new DoJ should investigate this asshole.
New path to Insta-celebrity = REFUSE TO HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH INAUGURATION
According to this story, the only people who've agreed to perform @ the events* are Rednecks and Teenagers
*which leads to a question = when exactly did presidential inaugurations turn into Super-Bowl Halftime shows x1000?
I seem to recall they were normally just a shitty 2 hours on CSpan where there was a hand-on-bible swearing in bit on the capitol steps. I missed the Firewords/gala/Concerts etc.
They'll still have the gladiatorial combats, though? That's sort of a tradition.
That and the virgin sacrifices. That is the only reason I voted for the guy.
He has to make sure he doesn't grab them too hard by the pussy though, or the ritual will be ruined.
Yes, but they don't actually sacrifice the virgins, just their virginity.
You still have to devour the heart of the outgoing president, although since 1912 they've allowed a surrogate donor.
Is that why Biden got that medal the other day?
That's what happened to Cheney's heart.
Only non-surrogate since then was in 1963. LBJ walked right into the emergency room as they were administering last rites and said, "'scuse me fellers, I'm gonna need this."
But no throwing of Christians to wild beasts. They have surprisingly fragile digestions, having evolved to eat various hoofed mammals.
WaPo has always been leftist, but they used to have a little more integrity than the NYT. But their TDS has truly threw them off the rails.
Excellent!
If inaugurations are like Super Bowls now, I demand that Animal Planet start running appropriate counter-programming with puppies!
Not going to be around much this week as I have family visiting, so I'm not able to keep up on social media?a welcome vacation from the derp! But I'm sure their tears this week will be most salty, so maybe I'm a little sorry. Anyway, here's an oldie from a brave and heroic YA author last week.
Some people just have no heart. Anyway, gimmee your money. Gimmee! Gimmeeeeeeeee!
Because caring for others means forcing them to pay for your stuff!
It's hard to explain what you don't understand.
You care about how caring about other people makes you feel about yourself. You don't feel any obligation to make sure that the actions you take or support in the name of caring are beneficial, or feel any concern for the collateral damage.
I hate saying society isn't Government all the time.

Gmail hack: Even tech-savvy users fooled by sophisticated phishing technique
.. and by "sophisticated" they mean:
Click here and enter your gmail username and password!!!
Savvy users don't click on attachments. Anything that throws up a 'fake' page is also easily spotted by savvy users. I think this was meant to be sent to John Podesta.
I think she must have interviewed Jen from the IT Crowd as her tech-savvy user.
How'd ENB miss this story:
Microsoft Hires Porn Safety Team, You'll Never Believe What Happened Next.
Penny Arcade had a response. 13 years ago.
Microsoft should have poached from Nintendo.
I'm sure that looking at shit like that is a horrible job. I'd be suspicious of anyone who lasted at that job.
That said, I'm suspicious of how anyone gets transferred to that team. My guess is that you are a giant fuck up on some other team and when given a chance your boss transferred you to this team with the idea of having you quit.
In fact, MS is sort of super smart for coming up with a team like that. You don't have to fuck around with Performance Improvement Plans or other BS to fire someone. Or give them a big severance to make them go away. Nope just transfer them to the pr0n team and watch them quit out of disgust.
"Something is going wrong! We need more celebrity videos!"
I have friends and acquaintances whom I wrote off as a lost cause years ago. But even the ones that I didn't, the somewhat moderate ones, are so lost in their emotions that they make tactical mistake after tactical mistake.
Trump is playing them like trained seals. He tweets, they bark. Rinse, repeat.
They think they are making a point - while ejecting all the moderates. It's fun to watch their self destruction.
Oh, they have the message Tundra. Stupid bigoted hics in flyover country are voting against their interests. All the dems have to do to win them back is sneer at them harder.
But we don't need to worry here Tundra.
Coleman, Otto, Murphy? We are set here for another wonderful DFLer.
Quick! Somebody organize a pantsuit flashmob in Brooklyn! Then, more mocking by Trevor Noah!!!!
It's just what the rust belt needs!
Haha! stupid rednecks, amiright?
Maybe it's because the progressives I know tend to be around a lot more conservatives than the average one and have to work with them (also, they're Canadian) but most of them are shaking their heads at the insanity in the United States. Of course, they're mostly Bernie supporters, so perhaps they see it as just desserts.

These people have always been the ones doing the training, and now, along comes someone that plays by the same prison-fight rules they do, and bam!, they are going bonkers...
Is she hot?
The latter - there is nothing wrong with starring in a very popular musical.
I'm a Roman Catholic!
I know some hot Catholics. Come on.
Hottest woman I know is Catholic. And worst of all, she's a good Catholic. Catholic high school girls in my teen years spoiled me.
They're burning in Hell?

Wait? What?....
You weren't referring to me? Well that hurts.
This band liked Catholic girls too.
Damn
I feel refreshed
Yeah, Tundra is right. To make amends, I share this DailyMail link of a lucious, twenty-year old singing star.
Dissatisfaction? What do they expect Franken to give up the last two years of his Senate seat to run for Governor?
I like Tundra's link better.
