Brickbat: Love Wins

The Illinois Human Rights Commission has upheld an $80,000 judgement against the Christian owners of a bed and breakfast who refused to host a gay wedding. An attorney for owners of the Timber Creek Bed & Breakfast says they have never hosted civil union ceremonies or gay weddings and do not plan to do so despite the ruling against them.

The Iillinois Human Rights Commission-
Stop right there.
I hate Illinois Human Rights Commissioners.
Illinois has humans? I call bullshit on that, one read of Chicago newspapers and any dope could figure out that the state is populated by a subspecies...Democrats
That's mostly Chicago. Rest of the state is pretty "red".
I've long said that there's very litte wrong with Illinois that couldn't be solved by bulldozing Cook county into Lake Michigan.
Burn the infidels!
The fact is none of us will truly be free until the government makes sure the Pope personally performs an abortion and all of us blow at least one stranger.
you signing up to blow the pope?
There a Kickstarter campaign yet?
They should be forced to host gay weddings so that same-sex couples can pay money to businesses which don't approve of them, instead of using their money to reward friendly business. Adam Smith said so.
This was never about any of that. It was about the first rule of politics: It isn't enough to win. The other side must also lose.
The second rule: no outside food!
According to my quick search, the "first rule" is either =
this
or this
or this
or one of these
So if or when the owners are forced to host the event and they put in minimal effort into pleasing the guests I wonder if 'shitty service' will suddenly become a human rights violation. Let's see how far the slope slides!
The customer protected class is always right.
sooo you want extra spit in that soup? We've also not sanitized the toilets for your protection. These are features not bugs.
If they give "shitty service" for "discriminatory" reasons, that's illegal.
This meme about "they can always give sub-par service" needs to die.
Forcing people to do what they don't want to do is what government is all about. You will be made to care motherfucker!
Umm... Where is "Iillinois"?
Fiinland
Well that explains the commission to violate human rights.
sooo Finns have a truly murderous bent...
lil' linois is an aspiring rapper living a few miles northwest of Kentucky.
I understand from my local TV news that aspiring rapper is the most dangerous of all vocations.
I don't know about you, but I LOVE to force people to perform a service for me that they don't want to do. I find they put their best effort when they've got the government putting a gun to their heads and saying they'd better do this, or else.
Jerjerrod: I assure you, Lord Gayder, my men are working as fast they can.
Gayder: Perhaps I can find new ways to motivate them.
Illinois human rights commission?
Next up, anti dog eat dog legislation and a ministry of truth
Non-gay bed and breakfast owners are such a rare bird that they are the ones who should have protected class status.
Personally, if I were the owners, I'd just tell them "Molon Labe" and see what they were actually willing to do about it.
The commission has made their decision, let them enforce it.
We would be more than willing to host this event, but unfortunately, we are extremely careless with our reservation system, and the first available date is the night of January 16th.
