Two cures for what ails us, and no good prognosis.

Here's a minute-long snippet from Reason's interview with Brad Thor, the self-describe conservatarian best-selling novelist whose latest book is Foreign Agent.

"America you've got cancer. And there's two drugs, potentially that you're looking at. One is a decades old generic that's lost its potency and is likely going to speed your death. The other one has been developed at a shady clinic down in Mexico where all they've been doing is working with growth hormone for Mexican wrestlers and there's no proof it works, it could kill you, it might do nothing, or it might cure your cancer."

I'm not saying Cruz would have beat Trump in a two-way race in the primaries, but I do have to wonder what would have happened if Kasich hadn't tried to play king maker and instead dropped out as soon as it was clear he had no chance of winning which was very early on.

Kasich's insistence on staying in as long as he did was of course his perogative, but it sure was frustrating. Not that I like Cruz either, but I really think it would be a much different race at this point were it Cruz/Clinton.

Interesting analogy, but I think it's probably more accurate to say that we have a choice between doing nothing, or taking the Agent Smith looking mother fucker up on his offer to turn us into a superhero, which will probably result in turning us instead into a horribly disfigured wise cracking mercenary who then goes on an epic killing spree to hunt down the sadistic fucks responsible. But at least it'll be entertaining.

The only question is whether we've hit "fuck it" yet.

This is the first presidential election that I remember where both major party candidates stand out as liars and crooks. Thanks to the biased Democratic and Republican run debate commission, the same two cons, I mean candidates took the stage, blocking 3rd parties from equal exposure. The numbers registered as Independent has been consistently growing and the millennials out number boomers. We have a democratic system where we have the right and responsibility to elect into office candidates who we believe in. Our Constitution protects our democracy but it can't protect us from ourselves.

You can vote for either Hillary or for Donald but understand what you're getting. Hillary = manipulative lies, crony capitalism, and increased instability worldwide. Donald = liar, con, bigot, fascist, chauvinist pig, and now a whiner. No thank you, I'll vote for Johnson/Weld and I'll sleep well knowing that I didn't take part in corruption.

On experience, Johnson and Weld are the most qualified in working across party lines having been reelected Republican governors in Democratic leaning states. They have proven experience in balancing the budget, reducing taxes, and creating jobs. They support my views for term limits and military supremacy with a foreign policy based on defense.
