New Haven, Connecticut, Public Schools has banned clown costumes as well as any "symbols of terror" during the Halloween season. An administrator at one middle school has already seized a clown mask from a group of students who were "horsing around."

Police said any threat deemed credible could be prosecuted under a new state law that makes a tangible threat against a school a felony. Officer David Hartman said the Instagram posts do not meet that threshold.

"We're not going to shut schools down for this stuff," he said.

Way to be soft on crime. Someone needs to check Officer Hartman's closet. I bet he's got a secret big red nose and seltzer bottle hidden in the back. He probably also eats at Mickey D's. Clown lover.

Meanwhile a police force makes a video about the moral panic and everybody thinks it's funny.

To me, it shows a police department that has too much force on its hands if it can send that many men after one lone clown, and reinforces the horrid idea that if somebody is doing something you don't like, sic the state on them.

If anybody should be the scary people in that video, it should be the cops.

KPRC reported that Williams was involved in thousands of "short calls" or 911 calls lasting no more than 20 seconds between October 2015 and March 2016.

Police said Williams was questioned about the short calls and said, "she often hangs up on calls that have not been connected because she did not want to talk to anyone at that time."

No mention of her being a brave hero risking her life every day so I'm guessing 911 operators are on the wrong side of the thin blue line.
