USA Today Reporter Blows Jill Stein's Cover; Candidate Arrested at Debate Site
Third party candidates apparently not allowed anywhere near presidential debate in case voters become aware of other choices.

Media fact-checking of the first presidential debate started before the candidates even arrived on Monday.
Jill Stein, the Green Party nominee, did not qualify for the debate (even though Monday's event undoubtedly would be improved by the inclusion of additional candidates like Stein and Gary Johnson) because she is not polling at 15 percent. Undeterred by the arbitrary rules set by the Commission on Presidential Debates, it appears that Stein intended to show up at the debate site anyway—until her cover was blown by a Eliza Collins, a reporter for USA Today.
I'm pretty sure Jill Stein just boarded the media bus at the Hofstra University #Debates2016
— Eliza Collins (@elizacollins1) September 26, 2016
Stein told the newspaper in August that she was planning to crash the debate. She did the same thing four years ago, and the stunt ended with Stein handcuffed to a chair.
USA Today reported that Collins' tweet "scrambled law enforcement officials" who tracked down Stein on the Hempstead, New York, campus of Hofstra University, where the debate is being held tonight.
Stein's campaign says she was on her way to record an interview with MSNBC when she was "escorted off the campus."

The campaign is planning a protest with supporters outside the debate site tonight.
"The Commission on Presidential Debates is trying to exclude myself and Gary Johnson from the debate on Monday night on the campus of Hofstra University," Stein wrote on Facebook earlier this week. "I'm going to be there anyway. The American public has a right to hear real debate about real issues affecting real people."
Unfortunately for Stein, the area around Hofstra is teaming with more than 1,000 law enforcement officials and "and various checkpoints have been set up throughout the sprawling campus to avoid people without credentials from gaining access to secure areas, according to the Long Island Press.
If you want to hear from candidates who aren't Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump tonight, check out Reason's livestream with Johnson and his runningmate Bill Weld.
Even Trump thinks they should get to debate:

Is she not even allowed anywhere on campus? I'm dubious as to what law she would be breaking so long as she was a guest of a student and not in an area specifically cordoned off for debate participants, media and attendees. For all anybody knows, she's tutoring a student for the evening.
She obviously triggered the CPD by microagressively violating their safe space.
I Make up to $90 an hour working from my home. My story is that I quit working at Walmart to work online and with a little effort I easily bring in around $70h to $86h..Go to this website and click tech tab to start your work.Visit this web... http://tinyurl.com/hygs5jl
Since it's a private school, does there need to be a law? (serious question)
Well, I don't think even a private institution can just declare anyone a trespasser and have them arrested just like that. They have to be notified somehow that there presence is not permitted by the property owner. Maybe she was trespassing on the press bus.
I'm sure, as Sloopy suggests, that she could find a student to claim her as a guest. And I would assume they have a stated policy about guests of students that doesn't have special exceptions for presidential candidates.
No.
As we are all aware, if it's a private business open to the public, this wouldn't be allowed. But since a school isn't open for anyone to just walk in and take a class, they can kick whoever they want out for no reason.
Country clubs can still say "no black people" for example. Supermarkets can't.
Did she say she was going to 'crash' the debate? I suspect that means more than just show up and listen quietly, considering Jill Steins recent behavior at other events.
She was going to sit at the back and make armpit farts.
That sounds about right for her mentality. Either that or sneak around the parking lot slitting tires.
How did you find out!?
NO fighting in the War Room!
Look at meeee!
Jill Stein approves this message.
Yeah, I would say that what happened is exactly what she wanted to happen.
Wonder how Jill's mind rationalizes her unbreakable state-love with all the rejection.
I take "This is what democracy looks like" as endorsement.
Was this a case of a private institution choosing who gets to be on their property?
Or is it a case of government officials telling a private institution who gets to be on their property?
If the latter, then it's a clear case of socialism...and *that'* an example of irony, Ms. Morrisette.
*that's*
I think it's more of a case of Jill Stein is a known trouble maker.
A known social signaler.
She's too looney for Berniebots. That's speaks a lot.
It really does.
You just don't understand the deep magic of quantitative easing.
No, he rights. I reallu does.
A clever security team would've baited Jill using large PVC tube with 'Exxon CO2 Pipeline' scrawled on side. She would've just scampered on over and handcuffed herself to it. Then, just move the pipe. Problem solved.
What if the university had her post bond for good behavior and promise to not to break any laws while on campus?
If she says yes, let her in, and if she breaks her word publicize that (and arrest her).
If she says no, exclude her for that reason.
Otherwise her people can say "OMG help she's being repressed!"
Democracy looks like a smiling woman giving the 'V for Victory' sign while wearing a pantsuit and carrying a clipboard?
Kay.
Is it some secret third party sign? GJ does it in his pic all the time.
2 fingers up for the 2 Real parties.
3 fingers down signifies the oppression of 3rd parties.
Jill Stein - would! /Almanian
I think you meant /Crusty
Almanian had a well documented crush on Kathleen Sebelius
And of course CJ would - 10x since Friday
And he wants to be our supreme overlord...
She's look'n good for like 90 or whatever. If it weren't for the three h's from her early days (hep, herp and hiv) most nerds would... Srsly if you had to choose between hill and jill which would you choose? Suicide not being an option.
Well out of the four.
Hey, she looks pretty good for 66, at least she doesn't have the whole month-old-Halloween-pumpkin thing Hillary's got going.
66? Wow. I would have though 56. I admit it. She looks great for her age.
66 more like 69, am I right?
SHE HAS A PIE HIDDEN IN HER PAPERS
This just in: Kevin Johnson has punched Jill Stein in the face.
RE: USA Today Reporter Blows Jill Stein's Cover; Candidate Arrested at Debate Site
Jill Stein (and Gary Johnson) did not receive an invitation for the debate and for good reasons.
First, free speech and open social discourse is no longer tolerated in our beloved socialist slave state.
Second, neither Stein or Johnson is part of the Ivy League ol' boys network, this automatically disqualifying them because they are not part of the elitist class.
Thirdly, the unenlightened masses do not need to hear from either Johnson or Stein because all the little people will get confused and end up pouring 10W40 on their ice cream, sending their parakeets to obedience school, sleeping in the trunk of their cars, fishing for elk in the local stream, setting themselves on fire while taking a shower, launch missiles from NORAD, give our military secrets to ISIS, make the polar caps melt, cause the sun to melt, etc. Therefore, it is a very prudent idea not to allow anyone fo the hoi poiloi to join in the presidential debates lest the world will come to an end.
Who in their right mind would want that to happen?
You make some compelling points.
Were you following me on my vacation last week?
What's wrong w sending parakeets to obedience school? They can learn, "Here, kitty, kitty."
Stein went to Harvard.
OT: Huh, my local county keeps talking about budget cuts and shortfalls (to be fair, they've never once had enough money in the history of their own existence, but they have a nifty chart showing the explosive inflation they're suffering under. The FED has repeatedly said there is no inflation. Someone's lying.
I would say both are lying.
There is no inflation - as long as you don't count beef, rents, subways/buses, tolls, booze, movies, plays, sporting events, shoes, or anything else I've paid for lately
What?
A government entity lying?
That would never happen.
They're as pure as the driven snow.
Just ask any government employee.
They'll set you straight.
M? vote for biggest govt lie is the unemployment rate.
-1 workforce participation rate.
The government is us. Why would we lie to ourselves? It makes no sense! Anyone who thinks the government lies must be some wackjob conspiracy theorist who watches too much Alex Jones.
Without looking at previous budgets to compare what's causing the rising costs, all they have is a chart showing that the old number is smaller than the new number. There may be a million different reasons for rising budgets, but without knowing what's causing the increases, it is a meaningless argument.
I thought there was going be a live stream at 6pm? So I called GayJay. And he said, 'I was gonna do a live stream on the Reason TV with Matt and that other dude, but then... I got high, I got high...'.
I was gonna be for free association, but I got high
I was on my way to Aleppo, but I got high
I was gonna hate on the epa, but then I got high
I became an sjw, and I know why
Cause I got high
Cause I got high
Cause I got high
I was gonna go to work
But then I got high
And then I went to work. Afroman's a fucking lightweight.
Johnson/Weld live stream, next article up. It's weird...
I still think it's going to be hard to get people to vote for a ticket that sounds like a horrifying and marriage destroying industrial accident.
Awesome, yet frightening
Sounds more like a TV infomercial superglue product to fix broken stuff.... like the national government.
She should have been arrested by the Grammar Police for abuse of the reflexive.
I hate that. That by itself disqualifies her as a candidate.
To me, this is only one step removed from someone referring to themselves in the third person. Punchworthy.
Between you and I, I'm inclined to agree.
Yeah, people who think that "myself" means "me" are the worst
Ooops I popped off first, before seeing you beat me to it. Like I said below, appalling.
What kind of world is it where a harmless idiot like Stein is in handcuffs and Hillary isn't?
Hillary isn't harmless. That's how.
Because she has FBI files on half the people in Washington.
Don't know where Trump is coming from on bringing 3rd parties into the debate. He's enough of a sideshow as it is. Still, Hillary's probably the one that doesn't want Stein there. Advantage Trump.
First they arrested the Green Party candidate, and libertarians laughed? She was "uncredentialed"? Do they really think she was a threat? They got rid of her because she was an embarrassment to their rigged debate. Libertarians should be
Why was 1 percent a high enough support level for the primary debates? Are 4 candidates too many? How can a tax-exempt debate commission give 2 national candidates 2 hours of prime time airtime and deny even an undercard debate to the other 2 national candidates? Why were all the networks afraid to leave out any candidates in the primary debates?
Libertarians should be... outraged at how Stein was treated.
The Chairman of the Libertarian Party was denied access to campus to be interviewed by a television reporter at the media filing center for lack of "credentials." Not credentials to be a member of the press, credentials to be interviewed by the press.
Non-partisan, non-profit commission on presidential debates.
She's great. Lots of courage to stand on principle. Rand Paul would do well to take notes.

So, an official presidential candidate can be ARRESTED for trying to be part of a debate?
Also, someone tell Jill Stein "myself" is a reflexive pronoun and her misuse of it in that instance is appalling. Talk like a President, Jill....
Xavier . I can see what your saying...
