Hopefully the rigors of trying to survive in a universe filled with things with which they disagree will cause major organ failure and they'll just die come winter.
Start working at home with Google! It's by-far the best job I've had. Last Wednesday I got a brand new BMW since getting a check for $6474 this - 4 weeks past. I began this 8-months ago and immediately was bringing home at least $77 per hour. I work through this link, go to tech tab for work detail,,,,,,,
Same reason they remake Total Recall and Robocop, despite half of those movies appeal being their 80s-ness. Familiarity and remakes/sequels are seen as a 'safe' option, despite never really doing that well financially, at least nationally. Internationally it's a different story sometimes.
Most likely not if it's going the corporate pre-package model.
Remakes only seem to work when the actual director has an actual artistic version. Seems to work well with cheesy 50s scifi movies, The Thing and The Fly remakes are great.
You mean in the good old days when they stuck to remaking Wizard of Oz, The Maltese Falcon, Ben Hur, etc? Sorry, Hollywood has been doing remakes since the beginning.
As much as people complain about remakes and sequels, great movies without some sort of pre-existing "hook" tend to become acclaimed flops while mediocre sequels and remakes tend to do well.
What movies goers say they want is wildly different from what their purchases indicate that actually way, and Hollywood is catering to what the dollars are saying.
How much of this is because Hollywood's definition of "great" movie involves some over-the-top political push and pc-ness while being humorless and abstractly philosophical?
At least the remakes are still entertaining, even if they are redundant and over done.
I think Hollywood forgot how to be entertaining and instead took up artsy preaching.
I think they think they want the latter, but find they don't want it when they get it. Many of the northwest females who constantly agitate to destroy the patriarchy also bitch, piss, and whine about how men won't make a move.
They won't stop until girls are boys and boys are girls. Even then, they will find something to get upset about.
They will convert the boys to girls and the girls to boys. They will still lament that girl toys don't sell as well as boy toys, pink toys are more expensive, and, now that more kids than ever play with pink dollies, nobody knows how to fucking STEM anymore.
In order for it to be appropriation, wouldn't that mean something was taken away from the originator, as in, they were prevented from having it anymore?
"Ooh, I like the way you make pottery/speartips/weave. That's a great technique for killing an elk. Let me show you a better way to tie a knot. I like that you have 15 different words for snow."
Maybe, maybe not, it's CNN after all. Their reporting on Syria has been nothing but US state department propaganda from the beginning. From what I've heard from more reliable sources, Obama recently violated the terms of a cease fire between US backed rebels and Syrian government group by bombing some Syrian army units, a cease fire intended to focus resources against ISIS. So Obama would literally rather help ISIS than concede to working with Russia and Assad, or at least stop working against them. Obama is the major obstacle to ending the Syrian Civil War. Like everything he touches, he fucks it all up and then deigns to claim ownership of the moral high-ground at every opportunity. The smug prick.
You can't accumulate the power if you're not taken seriously.
It's not us who roll our eyes that allow them to accumulate the power. It's the unwashed masses who hear these radicals bitch about sexism and appropriation and the like, and come out of it thinking "they're a little extreme, but I feel like they have a bit of a point."
It is those who are aware they have short comings and are happy that someone has given them an out on where the blame should fall.
A black man doesn't get promoted ? Racism
A woman who doesn't get promoted ? Sexism
While these isms aren't without precedent in reality, they are currently the equivalent of " free stuff" to the moocher class of all stripes.
If Blacks took the advice of Fredrick Douglass about just leave the negro alone to flourish in society without the help of government we all know they would be much better off as a whole.
But most times it easier to accept that someone else is to blame for whatever befalls one in life.
It's the unwashed masses who hear these radicals bitch about sexism and appropriation and the like, and come out of it thinking "they're a little extreme, but I feel like they have a bit of a point."
What, like Robby and about 3/4 of the other writers at reason?
What Disney movie doesn't involve cultural appropriation? What movie of any kind, or cultural product of any kind doesn't involve some cultural appropriation from somewhere at some point?
Look bro, you can either be a cultural appropriator or an uncultured, provincial redneck. You don't have other options, so just get hammered by these people for which ever one you prefer.
Oh, I'm sure Sen. Warren is only interested in protecting the shareholders of WFC from misleading reporting and thefts from employees. Of course WFC was following precisely the banking model Warren was trying to push on financial institutions.
Mehh i don't like warren, but having worked at WFC through college I really am not supportive of them in this plight. This stuff really was rampant and none of the mid level management did anything, they just kept putting the sales standards higher and higher.
We're not supposed to notice that Asians are being turned away in droves from the elite universities. We're not supposed to notice that blacks are included on the basis of some silly argument about diversity.
You're not supposed to acknowledge it, dipshit. Notice all you like.
I thought it was a known and accepted fact that all male child actors were subjected to some kind of casting couch business. Who is the unnamed superstar here? I'm going to guess Daniel Radcliffe.
According to Bank of Canada it's not illegal to do this
And thus the majority of the people reading this stop caring and do it anyway.
Furthermore, the Bank of Canada feels that writing and markings on bank notes are inappropriate as they are a symbol of our country and a source of national pride."
Admittedly, Laurier's one of the good ones, he just happens to look the most Spock-like. Our other bills currently have the drunk founder of our country, a guy who thought Hitler was a nice guy, the Queen, and a guy who kind of committed election fraud in World War 1.
They finally got the inclusion they've been complaining about not having for years, but if any detail is wrong it's Kultur Appropriashunz. Needs more highly-paid consultants with the right ethnicity and a prominent credit.
"but if any detail is wrong it's Kultur Appropriashunz"
They don't care if it's wrong or right. They literally want to keep every culture preserved in a box and prevent them from ever touching, mixing, growing, or evolving.
It's less like free market multiculturalism where people just take whatever cultural elements they want, things mix and blend and grow. It's some type of weird museum multiculturalism, where everything has to be carefully preserved in separate airtight displays, lets Mongolians start rapping or something.
It's clearly a ger, not a yurt, and oh I KNOW. I was making direct reference to that. Mongolia has an excellent rap scene, Fish Symbolled Stamp is one of my favorite groups, but Tatar and Gee are up there as well. Ethnic Zorigoo does great things when he branches into rap, but he sadly sticks mostly to pop/folk fusion.
Yeah, I stopped in a Japanese restaurant for lunch a couple of weeks ago, and was hearing basic American rap, but I couldn't process the words. For a couple of minutes I thought I might have aphasia, but then I realized that it was either Japanese or Korean words but with an American English flow.
Also Christina Aguilera doing the vocals for Reflection on the album instead of the superior vocals of Lea Salonga, but that's was also partly a criticism of Disney burying their incredibly qualified vocal talent in favor of garbage pop versions of their songs for the album release.
They are aware that China (well, PRC but I'm not getting into the, ROC fans) just spent the last seventy years rejecting traditional Chinese culture, right?
They're saying sincere things vehemently. I think they see the rest as fine detail which can all be sorted out by academic purists later.
Endless opportunity for giggles, watching people (usually women) arguing on the internet that Mulan should have gotten married and had babies as her cultural values saw proper. Good times.
Seriously though, all I know about this movie is that it's likely going to cost me a shitload of money thanks to having a princess-obsessed daughter. Frozen nearly drove me to bankruptcy.

Can we get a trigger warning that this link comes from Vox, Robby?
The same Vox that said this yesterday:
On the one hand, the far right has never taken power in Western Europe or the United States
(before adding a Post-WWII caveat without putting a notice that they edited the articles)
On the one hand, the far right has never taken power in Western Europe or the United States (the "far right" here referring to post-World War II FN-style political movements, not dictatorships like the one that ran Spain). Donald Trump is down in the polls, and could lose so spectacularly that he discredits the entire right-wing populist approach. The United States will be a majority minority country in 30 years; younger generations on both sides of the Atlantic are less attracted to the far right's racial dog whistles.
I don't get how what your saying works. If whites are still above 50% then the other groups couldn't be a plurality, a plurality indicates that you are the largest group without attaining the majority requirement of having mire than 50%
Fascists are what is more better known as 'a little less than extreme left'. They're 'right' of the most extreme of the leftists, but they never actually come anywhere near the actual 'right' at all.
Hilarious:
"Hillary Clinton knocks Jimmy Fallon for 'softball' Trump interview"
[...]
"Many critics said Fallon was too soft on Trump, humanizing him and delivering a promotional puff piece. They said he should have used the opportunity to ask hard-nosed questions." http://www.sfgate.com/politics.....234205.php
I'm sure he asked very pertinent questions regarding her 'somewhat truthy' comments regarding here server, right?
Fallon opened his eyes and sat up on the sofa. A long string of snot and saliva stretched from his mouth to the mirror on the coffee table; it snapped with an audible twang.
"Whah," he managed, and then giggled nervously. "Fuckin' Kimmel and his coke, man, shit." He giggled again, then lifted one cheek and farted into the sofa. The supple white leather flexed and clouded briefly.
Something beneath the remaining traceries of cocaine on the mirror. He leaned forward, frowning. There was his own face, snot-streaked and bleary-eyed. And behind it-
The claw closed around his neck like the weight of a thousand Horatio Sanzes grinding. Pale brown urine dribbled down his leg as that monstrous strength drew him toward the ceiling. Spots swam in front of his vision and then coalesced into... into...
No, no, no, no, no he thought.
She hung there, in a web of her own unholy excretions. Too many limbs reached down and seized his ankles, his wrists, his waist. The grip on his neck loosened, and he gasped and then vomited explosively. One of Her appendages caught the sick in midair and consumed it with a beaklike mouth.
"You have failed Me," she hissed. Her head rotated on what could no longer be called a neck.
"I planted Your larva in his hair," Jimmy moaned. "How was i to know it was warded?"
Whatever moron decided that politicians should regularly appear on talk shows is right after Hitler on list of people to "visit" if I ever get my hands on a time machine. Someone running for president is probably significant enough (and, I imagine, draws enough viewers) that it makes a certain amount of sense and gets a pass, so I'm ambivalent about Fallon interviewing Trump. Colbert on the other hand feels like he has one democratic hack or another on every single night. The show is frankly unwatchable, which is sad because I do like a lot of Colbert's past work.
Devio is said to have won more than 25 national arm-wrestling titles in various leagues in the 150-pound weight class. He has won with his right arm and his left arm, while sitting down and standing up. He represented the United States in the 1996 world championship in Virginia, where he placed second.
To maintain his competitive edge, Devio, a former high school gym teacher, follows a strict workout routine that includes daily aerobic exercise combined with weekly weight lifting. He curls a 110-pound barbell in three sets of 10, a feat most men his size and age would struggle to accomplish.
Devio and some of his peers taught Sylvester Stallone a few arm-wrestling techniques for the 1987 movie "Over the Top," which was partly filmed during a real tournament in Las Vegas. Devio said Stallone had not been quite the champion he portrayed in the film, and that he had beaten Stallone in a practice match.
Donald Trumo Jr.'S tweet comparing Syrian refugees to Skittles has deep roots. The concept dates back at least to 1938 and a children's book called Der Giftpilz, or The Toadstool, in which a mother explains to her son that it only takes one Jew to destroy an entire people.
Actually off the top of my head I recall anti-German propaganda posters from the First World War that go for a similar complaint about local German populations (I think its rabid dogs in a kernel or something, I'd have to go looking), but that doesn't give them the Nazi angle.
The emails detailed in this report damningly illustrate the extent to which the [E.P.A] produced its New Source and Existing Source Performance Standards for greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, as a captured body allowing green pressure groups improper influence, which input was unlawfully kept out of the rulemaking docket ...
Michael Goo, then EPA's Associate Administrator for the Office of Policy tasked with writing the initial memo on EPA's options to impose these power plant regulations, shared his draft options secretly ? using his private email rather than his official EPA email, ? with lobbyists and high-level staffers at the Sierra Club, Clean Air Task Force and the Natural Resource Defense Council; also using Goo's non-official account, these lobbyists in turn told
Goo how to draft or alter the policy that was ultimately implemented in the rules.
Goo expressly described his Yahoo account to EPA's "industry validator" lobbyist as a "channel" for "offline chats", leaving no doubt about the unlawful intent behind its use. Reporters, who chose not to write about this revelation, were using it too.
These emails demonstrate that EPA's rules are illegal.
It's quite telling that Scott seems to collect links that he believes others will find interesting, whereas, Robby's are all centered around his insecurities.
"Luckily for us Planned Parenthood existed," Richter continued. "My girlfriend knew that she was not ready for motherhood, and I knew that I was in no way prepared to be a father. I drove from Chicago in my battered old Toyota pick-up to be with her when she went to Planned Parenthood to terminate her pregnancy. Her choice to get an abortion was a choice that she made with assuredness. She knew that she was doing the right thing for everyone involved. But I can't say it was easy. She was sad, and I was sad, and it was sad. But to this day, I know that she will tell you that she made the right decision."
Richter echoed that sentiment when THR approached him after the event, and inquired whether he thought it was tricky for someone in the public eye to come forward in support of Planned Parenthood. "I don't think it's tricky," he said. "It's easy. Planned Parenthood helps a ton of people, and if they don't agree with that, f? 'em. You can quote me on that. Tell them I said, 'F? 'em.' "
We were totally prepared to have sex, but totally unprepared to live with the consequences of our actions. But since I can predict the quality of life of someone who never had a chance to breath, I totally know it was the right decision for everyone involved.
"A U.S. law enforcement official confirmed the elder Rahami had twice met with the FBI, first saying that he was worried his son was hanging out with people who might have connections to militants..The FBI tried to check out the father's story, and conducted what officials now describe as an "assessment" of that information. Investigators found no evidence to prompt a full-scale investigation into the son, and the initial investigation was closed without action, the law enforcement official said. At the time, the son was being held on an assault charge for stabbing his brother during a domestic dispute, the official said.
I'm not exactly a fan of FBI/NSA/NSC/DHS/CIA/DoJ/NII "Terrorist Watch Lists". I was *on one*, once, due to a case of mistaken-identity.
You currently have the FBI demanding access into citizen's email, cell-phones... and yet, they can't even effectively follow up or investigate "Afghan immigrant with history of violence". YOU CAN FUCKING TELL THEM YOUR SON IS A THREAT, and they'll still fail. The demand for 'more data' is just admission that they're bad at the real jobs.
I'm not exactly a fan of FBI/NSA/NSC/DHS/CIA/DoJ/NII "Terrorist Watch Lists". I was *on one*, once, due to a case of mistaken-identity.
I'm sure Dennis was to blame. What an asshole that guy was.
They have these watch lists, and for some reason they cannot place people on the watch list who are going to go on to commit terrorist acts, so why even bother having the watch lists?
How much do you want to bet the people complaining about "cultural appropriation" the most are those that eat lentil hummus and don't understand the difference between couscous and rice dishes?
Inserting random spelling errors into intelligent writing and removing them from ignorant screeds is a great equalizer. I expect the handicapper general to get write on this.
"actor Kevin Hart released the first-ever picture of the new 'Jumanji' movie, which also stars Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson, Jack Black"
Look, I can't read past this line, so I'm just going to give them the benefit of the doubt and assume the claims that the Jumanji movie is sexist is completely 100% fact.
But based on the above line, trust me. Sexism is the LEAST of that movie's problems!!
I commented on a discussion regarding Citizens United yesterday on Reddit, where someone was arguing that because the law didn't ban material altogether or based on content, but based on source of funding (corporations) that it was thus a reasonable regulation on speech serving a "compelling government interest." I responded by asking if it would thus be legal for the government to ban political commentary by corporations like the New York Times and other media outlets. Their response was that this scenario brought freedom of press into play and that this wouldn't be ok because it would infringe on the media's role in society as reporter and watchdog (this is all paraphrase, but these were the jist of the arguments they made).
I didn't bother responding, but this comment made me think about how the left these days seems to think "freedom of the press" refers to "the press" as an institution composed of media companies, journalists, etc. This is a complete and utter misunderstanding of what it means. Additionally, it seems odd for a group of people so concerned about equal rights to be ok with a small set of corporations and employees of a certain industry being given greater protection of a fundamental constitutional right than the rest of the population.
I make snarky comments on here about that with some degree of regularity, but it's really unsettling when you actually reflect on the issue. These people are convinced, basically, that basic freedoms, such as to express yourself, publish your opinions, or criticize those in power are granted to us by the government and thus subject to restriction as deemed appropriate.
The push to define "the press" as an institution of government-approved media companies, I suspect, is a concerted effort to give the government authority to determine that certain wrongfulthinkers (the Fox News and WSJs of the world) are not properly "news" and therefore not entitled to First Amendment protections.
Their response was that this scenario brought freedom of press into play and that this wouldn't be ok because it would infringe on the media's role in society as reporter and watchdog (this is all paraphrase, but these were the jist of the arguments they made)
Then what's to stop a corporation from just declaring themselves to have a press division producing political content? You'd have to start strictly licensing 'the press', and good luck not screwing over independent bloggers and non-establishment press with that system.
The Koch Brothers ? or any other wealthy American wishing to influence elections ? should establish a news company to get around the law is Citizens United were overturned.
Their response was that this scenario brought freedom of press into play and that this wouldn't be ok because it would infringe on the media's role in society as reporter and watchdog
Who the hell is this idiot kidding? Do they not realize that today's "press" is composed primarily of large corporate conglomerates that run huge media/consumer empires? Disney, ABC, FOX, Time-Warner, etc.--only in a dysfunctional society where a corporatist media masks its cronyism with various forms of virtue-signaling could this be considered a "press."
The only "press" that nominally exists anymore as defined by this person are small independent rackets that have to rely on escort ads for revenue.
Well, I thought that politeness would go without saying in a polite interview, so if his politeness needs to be pointed out, maybe the interviewer was provoking him.
I absolutely detest Trump, but the only upside to his winning is to watch leftist government worshipers shudder when he says "I've got a pen, and I've got a phone."
And the press would investigate the Executive Branch and report actual findings. It would be the less worse than Hillary making it the 2nd worst thing that can happen in November.
I've always wondered what will happen when a President finally refuses to transition power. Will somebody high enough in the military have the balls to defend the Constitutional order? I'm not so sure but I'm worried it might happen in my lifetime.
Depends if the wannabe dictator is black, a woman, some kind of minority and a democrat then were fucked. No general wants to be called a racist, sexist biggot.
With the way various columnists have been hyping up the horrors of Trump being elected, I'd hope that at least one or two of them would Thich Quang Duc themselves, but somehow I bet they're being hyperbolic or lack the integrity.
So, there was a news kerfluffle over the weekend about Trump calling the NY/NJ bombing a "bombing".
Can someone explain to me why this was supposed to be a gaffe? I caught wind of this when watching CBS This Morning* on Monday, wherein they made a big deal about it. My first thought was, "Wait, didn't you just report that there was, in fact, a bombing in the greater NY area?" I assume they were hammering Trump for jumping to conclusions or something.
When I heard about it, the first thing that came to my mind was "bombing". Second was "probably Islamic terrorists". A lot of ordinary people probably thought the same thing too.
Now if the media comes and makes a big deal of it, who are these ordinary people going to side with? The media or Trump?
"I will tell you, Gabrielle Lemos, you delayed and resisted me throughout this incident," Holton, 44, said, choking back tears. "I come to find out it was because of the color of my skin."
An amusing example of people in authority playing the victim-card; and of pretending racial 'victimization' when they're the ones carrying the gun.
I swear, somewhere there's a scientist/psychologist who's figured out that the sound of "3 women trying to complain over one another at the same time" produces dissonant frequencies that cause the male-brain to instantly want to smash things.
Note the difference in how the interactions are going between the 'boyfriend' (up to 1:50)... and the girls. I'm surprised he didn't just tase them all.
Might be related to the Brown Noise. Somewhere in there I could hear "Let a woman talk! Let a woman talk!", when shrieking and bitching incomprehensible is all she'd done up to that point. That's when the frequency reached it's highest level for me.
He's just using the weapons of passive-aggressive social-shaming against them. Don't hate the player; hate the game.
By calling them racists and amplifying their mere-'disturbing the peace/resisting arrest' behavior, he wins in the court of public opinion.
That's HOW SHIT WORKS these days. If Colin Kaepernick can get away with it and look like a rock star... then you're going to get more of what you reward. Playing the race card and pretending to be the victim *works*. It doesn't matter who it is.
"While a recent economist's report revealed that HB2 had only a minor effect on the economy of North Carolina, in comparison to the strong, positive upswing brought by conservative policies, Democrats are willing to ride this issue straight to perdition, all to regain political power....
"The people of North Carolina need to know that a compromise was on the table to settle the controversy over the bathroom laws, but it was Democrats who refused, and who are celebrating any economic damage done to the state, in the meantime."
They're not even close to the same story. What a bunch of tripe. I might eat a few of a bowl with three poison skittles....if that's all there was to eat in the world. Maybe there will be mushrooms too?
But as the paper reported, the real purpose of Miller's Oklahoma trip may have been to visit a clinic where he could get injected with the "Jesus Shot," a controversial pain-relieving drug that is administered by a convicted felon and traveling physician known as "Dr. Mike."
and
Dr. Mary Schrick, who owns the clinic in Edmond where Lonegan used to work, has told reporters that the injection is a mixture of two anti-inflammatory drugs (Dexamethasone and Kenalog) and Vitamin B12, an essential vitamin that is found in fish, meat, eggs, and dairy. The shot reportedly costs about $300.
I mean, my dad had a pretty bad case of anemia, to the point where it changed how food tasted to him and he went from running marathons to getting winded climbing a flight of stairs. They had to give him a couple of B12 shots to get his hemoglobin production back on track.
It's appropriate when indicated. I just think it's funny that it's treated as a panacea and then people are given REALLY high doses, which they just pee out (as Crusty alluded to above).
Brown University Professor Glenn Loury: "We're not supposed to notice that Asians are being turned away in droves from the elite universities. We're not supposed to notice that blacks are included on the basis of some silly argument about diversity."
I hope for his sake he has tenure.
Now, on to the "truly important" news of the day, that reason has chosen not cover for some reason, I can only assume it has something to do with the sinister COZMO-CUCK CABAL running this place:
The Cultural Appropriation Nazis are going to make Halloween so much fun this year. The whole holiday is about being someone (or something) you're not.
They'll probably complain that wearing a zombie costume is appropriating zombie culture...
This weekend I painted miniatures for a war game from Spain, played a video game from Belarus, listened to rap music from a white guy from Detroit, watched a cop show from Britain, had Thai food for lunch, and snacked on tikki masala potato chips, while one daughter streamed K dramas, another read manga, and my sons played with Legos invented in Denmark.
A life without Cultural Appropriation would be so incredibly boring.
And most of you missed the really insidious part of that that academic, all-consuming definition. Without Permission? Think about that. So how does that work exactly? Who do you ask? Sure, these new Lays Tikki Masala chips are delicious, but are they problematic? Who is the head Indian I'm supposed to get permission from? Did you guys like appoint somebody, or is it an elected position, or what? Or should I just assume that Lays talked to that guy already for me? Or can any regular person from India be offended on behalf of a billon people?
Long but well worth reading (also applies to his books I read, to wit Monster Hunters International series and Son of the Black Sword).
Yeah but 9 times out of 10 the person hectoring you for appropriating some other culture is some lily white "college know-it-all hippy" fresh of their first semester at college indoctrination camp and not an actual member of that culture either.
Or does their "enlightened" status give them the authority to be outraged for a people and a culture that they don't belong to either?
Cultural appropriation is truly the most retarded idea to ever come out of progdom. The fact that people even take it seriously tells us how far into insanity some parts of our society are slipping.
My wife got some of those. The smell, ye gods. I will admit that I am never in a rush to appropriate Indian cuisine. Its one of the few flavor profiles I really don't dig.
these new Lays Tikki Masala chips are delicious, but are they problematic?
Tikka Masala is itself a cultural appropriation
The origin of the dish is disputed. One explanation is that it originated in an Indian restaurant in Glasgow, Scotland, [3][7] but probably from the British Bangladeshi community which ran most Indian restaurants in the United Kingdom.[7]
While people are unsure about the actual origins, no one disputes that its a bastardization of Indian cuisine, intended to appeal to a more Western palette.
iow, most indian-food purists don't consider it "Indian" *at all*. its as british a flavor as marmite.
I remember when the Polish Prime Minister gave Obama a copy of Witcher 2 as a part of a cultural exchange, and that seems like a perfectly good waste of a great game.
I'm sure there's a quasi logical case for that... somewhere. I used to cover stuff that involved a lot of peso-movement; we used to joke that the Peso was like a lightweight drunk. it was constantly either bubbling, or falling on its face.
She's there as eye candy. To say that women in movies *are not to be eye candy* is sexist. To say that women can only be eye-candy is sexist. But that doesn't make any individual example of eye-candy sexist nor does it make any individual example of a 'strong female character' not sexist.
You might make an argument that she's been 'objectified' - but that's not sexist.
Yeah, she's dressed stupidly. You need something for the father's being drug by their kids to see this crap to watch. That's her purpose in the movie. If we wanted good acting for that character we'd have cast Kathy Bates.
my guess is that its always been "Why are they so successful?"-spite. because there are a lot of jewish people in finance, doctors, lawyers, CEOs, entertainment moguls etc.... gradually people develop the impression that they must all be pulling strings for one another, and 'exploiting' the gentiles by manipulating things behind the scenes.
but i've never had the patience to listen to the NRx/Alt-righters about their Jew-obsession for more than 2 seconds before i get bored to tears.
In the case of the alt-right I'd also throw in the fact that Jews are 'allowed' to have a state based around their ethnicity, which seems to drive them completely nuts. They then combine that with some fantasy where, since apparently the majority of Jews are left-leaning and control most of Western society, they're secretly trying to destroy the white race while maintaining their own ethnic homogeneity.
Of course, it's particularly funny when they're flipping out about some progressive who happens to be Jewish talking about letting in Muslims or something. And I'm just sitting here saying "Yeah, but these people aren't exactly pro-Israel either. They're not sneaky tricksters, they're morons."
I was reading a novel written around 1905 and saw the phrase "it will be all beer and skittles" (meaning that everything will be alright in the end). I know it wasn't in reference to the candy, but it was amusing.
I didn't know the media thought of ISIS terrorists as the Jews to our Nazi Germany. Learn something new every day.
As partially retarded as the analogy might be, the counterargument somehow managed to zoom straight to full retard. Granted, I'm guess j-schoolers probably didn't score so well on the analogy portion of their SATs or they'd have real jobs.
I think the dems can sense a trump win and the country wholeheartedly rejecting them. Of course they will just double down and blame the wreckers and kulaks for pulling wool over eyes.
They are like a business who starts insulting their customers that are just browsing and don't end up buying. Lefties don't conceive that customer may plan to come back later
The number of Mexicans in the U.S. illegally has dropped sharply since the Great Recession began to 5.8 million in 2014, unchanged from 2012 but down from 6.3 million in 2009 and a peak of 6.9 million in 2007. Last year, Pew said more Mexicans were returning to Mexico than arriving.
4.5 hours into a Go-Live which seems like nothing got tested on any side, including mine. This is a goat fuck. Luckily, the ball is not currently in my court. However, as much as I like racking up the billable hours on a conference call to nowhere, I would like to get up and go play with my kids. I knew this was going to be less than perfect, but I really thought we'd be on to data load problems by hour 4.
FFS We now have blatant racism completely ignored, and made up racism through "cultural appropriation".
A nation of pussies, under a flag of pussies.
At least under the Jolly Rodger your race, or sex did not matter. as long as you could fight, sail, drink, and fuck.
Black Beard is gonna be pissed when he comes back from Hell.
I thought comes had passed a bill exempting online retailers from having to pay local taxes, or at least putting a moratorium on it. Huh. Too much marijuana?

99% of normal people around the world will take exception to anyone protesting their flag and national anthem for whatever reason. Those kind of things have meaning in respective cultures. Drunken idiots in soccer games duke it out if they felt their nation was disrespected.
Meanwhile literally no one would care if some white dude had afro hair style or put mayo in a traditional Asian dish. Some white geek otaku who cosplays as Naruto and chants "Dattebayo" would offend no Asian with a modicum of a life. No one. But the usual SJW freaks just LOSE their minds over stuff like this, and the media allows them to make all kinds of noise.
If Kap has the right to boycott the flag, then some insensitive white man can bastardize whatever culture to the limits of his imagination. The same protection on free speech applies. It's EXACTLY the same. People whose feelings are hurt are allowed to respond with boycotts, criticisms, etc.
The most entertaining thing about the anthem boycott saga is watching liberals trying to lecture us on freedom of speech - these people, who would gag and drag every college speaker they didn't like onto the streets.
And the new Jumanji movie is sexist.
Why even bother.
They won't stop until girls are boys and boys are girls. Even then, they will find something to get upset about.
SJWs are pampered, overfed, first-world narcissists.
Hopefully the rigors of trying to survive in a universe filled with things with which they disagree will cause major organ failure and they'll just die come winter.

No, I mean, why even bother remaking that thing. The first one was perfectly serviceable.
If by "serviceable," you mean "bad," then I agree.
RIP Robin Williams
Same reason they remake Total Recall and Robocop, despite half of those movies appeal being their 80s-ness. Familiarity and remakes/sequels are seen as a 'safe' option, despite never really doing that well financially, at least nationally. Internationally it's a different story sometimes.
I'm not convinced the Magnificent Seven remake (of the U.S. version) is gonna retain the charm.
It would have worked better if they changed the setting again. Maybe a neighborhood in Prohibition era?
Maybe a neighborhood in Prohibition era?
I hope the next season of Fargo goes there.
I actually think Denzel can do it justice. I'm looking forward to it, and usually am not a fan of the remake crap.
No one can make up for Yul Brenner and that accent.
NO ONE.
We'll use a Canadian then, go shake up Michael J Fox, he'll give the audience the most shiver inducing performance they've ever seen.
I was thinking along the lines of Jeff Goldbloom.
Ew.
Speaking of Goldblum, I'm still waiting for a Tenspeed and Brownshoe remake.
Most likely not if it's going the corporate pre-package model.
Remakes only seem to work when the actual director has an actual artistic version. Seems to work well with cheesy 50s scifi movies, The Thing and The Fly remakes are great.
Member when they came up with original ideas for new movies?
You mean in the good old days when they stuck to remaking Wizard of Oz, The Maltese Falcon, Ben Hur, etc? Sorry, Hollywood has been doing remakes since the beginning.
Still waiting on Hollywood to remake a Kenneth Anger joint. Starring Vin Diesel and Jason Statham.
And stories? Movies that had real stories, not committee-generated plots?
despite half of those movies appeal being their 80s-ness
HALF!?!
That is fully 98% of their appeal!
Look how much worse Detroit turned out compared to the fantasy of Robocop!
It's not 80s-ness when Clarence Boddicker is the best mix of cheesy and scumbag.
It's not 80s-ness when I WORK FOR DICK JONES.
It's not 80s-ness when they ask his name at the end and he says "Murphy" and gives the cheekiest fucking smile.
But the greatest blood squib scene of all time, those Cold War ads, and the chick's hair, THAT'S 80s-ness.
Well give the man a hand.....
I'd buy that for a dollar!
This is also why Fist doesn't get divorced.
Because his wife believes he's 'serviceable'?
Not even on my birthday.
The birthday BJ usually stops being a thing after you have been together for 10 years or so.
Fists's birthday cunnilingus is never ending.
He's gonna lap that compliment up.
"They won't stop until girls are boys and boys are girls."
Looking at the typical demands of people who cry "sexism", I think they want the latter, not really the former.
They want both. Femininity is just as targeted as masculinity is. Most femininity is targeted as "traditional family structure"
They'll never stop. Reality is sexist and you can't change it.
As a fan of Polynesian proas, I like that they put the traditional crab claw rig on the canoe.
Proas are Micronesian craft

Hello.
I think the perfect response to people who squawk about cultural appropriation is...
Fuck. Off.
You Canadians STOLE that expression from my people. Not okay.
Can't we share?
Fine. But only because you fucks are so polite.
Rufus: "Please fuck off."
Pretty sure trailer park boys have appropriated that beyond all hope
In order for it to be appropriation, wouldn't that mean something was taken away from the originator, as in, they were prevented from having it anymore?
"Ooh, I like the way you make pottery/speartips/weave. That's a great technique for killing an elk. Let me show you a better way to tie a knot. I like that you have 15 different words for snow."
Piss on any "content" publication that has an Identity section. Even if it's not intended for me.
First on CNN: US preliminary conclusion finds Russian warplanes hit aid convoy
Clinton News Network declares Russia did it!
I don't really believe anything the US State department says at this point.
...prepare to pay sales tax on Amazon orders.
A lot of purchases will be made from home districts now.
I already do. And it's annoying.
Sweet Meteor Of Death, please get here soon.
I think my New Year's resolution will be to simply ignore all charges of cultural appropriation, sexism, etc.
Why wait? It's tedious, spurious and pointedly partisan, all in the name of accumulating power.
You can't accumulate the power if you're not taken seriously. There's the problem.
Excellent points, all.
"But most times it easier to accept that someone else is to blame for whatever befalls one in life."
Yes, for the morally or intellectually, weak. Ultimately it prolongs misery and not just for the morally or intellectually weak.
My life has always been about walking the fine line between those two options.
My sister was ranting about Frozen being racist for some similar reason. Fucking Oberlin grads.
Just imagine if all Disney did involved lily white princesses from fantastical, fairy tale lands.
They just might call it RACIST.
Just can.not.win with these people.
You can wish.
Just had a discussion about whether the term "douche canoe" is sexist.
That bastion of leftism in America, Hollywood, produces cultural appropriative and sexist products? hmmm!
Washington, D.C. residents: prepare to pay sales tax on Amazon orders.

Sen. Elizbeth Warren wants the CEO of Wells Fargo to resign.
The CEO of Wells Fargo should respond like Alex Epstein:
"Fuck off, fascist."
"RIght after you resign for your own part in the housing crisis, Madame Senator."
The left doesn't blame politicians for that, they blame Jews "Wall Street fat cats"
I forgot to asterisk the f-bomb.
What, are you Canadian?
Something, something masturbation appropriation something.
Oh, I'm sure Sen. Warren is only interested in protecting the shareholders of WFC from misleading reporting and thefts from employees. Of course WFC was following precisely the banking model Warren was trying to push on financial institutions.
Elizabeth Warren is as authentic as the Native American recipe she plagiarized from the NYT.
All CEOs want Sen. Elizbeth Warren to resign.
I want her to resign. From the human race.
DELETE YOUR LIFE ACCOUNT.
Dear SJW, please draft a letter to a rejected but better-qualified Asian applicant to an elite university.
1) Explain why the better qualified person was rejected.
2) Explain why meritocracy shouldn't rule.
3) Address why "social justice" includes individual injustice.
Bonus credits if you can convince the rejected applicant to cry and confess their privilege, like a North Korean TV confession.
"Meritocracy" is hate speech, if I recall the recent speech codes correctly.
So is "individual" at some universities.
SJW: HOW DARE YOU ASK TO EXPLAIN MYSELF?!
Don't forget "I'm not here to educate you!".
He must be a deplorable.
He is tendentious...
WHERE IS MY BRANGELINA BREAK UP LINK!!??
How about some gossip about Corey Haim instead?
Trigger warning: Radar Online
Aggravated rape should have a statute of limitations, too.
And no, Chrome preview, I don't need you to guess that the word I'm going to type following "rape" is "culture".
Chrome should know not to appropriate your culture.
I thought it was a known and accepted fact that all male child actors were subjected to some kind of casting couch business. Who is the unnamed superstar here? I'm going to guess Daniel Radcliffe.
He raped Haim 30 years ago?
Exactly. It's diabolical.
I'm going to guess "Michael Jackson". Is it Michael Jackson?
Who? What?
Angelinrad.
Brad Pitt and Angelina Bob Thornton.
I never thought she was that attractive.
I agree.
Even before the bad tattoos and chopping off her breasts. And now 6 kids.
She's a lesbo's wet dream though.
She's a libertarian of sorts.

So, Mr. Labatt, Maurice Duplessis, and every member of the House of Commons?
Was Duplessis even in the HofC?
I figured those were references to three different denominations.
It sounds like English? Oh well probably hockey references.
He was one of the better ones except he missed the mark with 'the 20th century belongs to Canada'.
He was a bad fortune teller, but that's probably better than having seances to talk to your dead wife or Mr. "It's 2015".
Once I found out that it wasn't illegal I lost any interest in doing it.
They should have a $99 bill with Gretzky on it!
He looks more like Sarek.
yup
Why the hell is that so funny to me? I LOLed.
Critics say Disney's Moana costume is cultural appropriation.
This is why I've always said Disney heroins should be white princesses.
I for one hope that none of them are on heroin.
I don't know, a smack addicted main character in a Disney film would be a nice change of pace.
Alice in Wonderland?
Sleeping Beauty?
Oh. That is a good point. Sleeping Beauty makes more sense now.
Overdosed Beauty.
"And she shall lie motionless until a prince, but not THE Prince, for he is dead, stabs an adrenaline needle into her heart."

Wow! Mad props
I thought Zootopia was pretty much about crack cocaine.
I thought Bath Salts, but same difference I suppose.
On the nose, there, PBR.
Disney has yet to make that classic Eastern European tale, Bath Salts Over Gold.
Sherlock Holmes?
Probably wasn't any outrage about Mulan, was there? How far we've fallen.
That horse has long left the stable yurt.
The yurt is the second-worst selling alternative dwelling.
Links?
Yeah, I stopped in a Japanese restaurant for lunch a couple of weeks ago, and was hearing basic American rap, but I couldn't process the words. For a couple of minutes I thought I might have aphasia, but then I realized that it was either Japanese or Korean words but with an American English flow.
So when the homies from a few forests over rode their horses into those guy's hood was that a gallop by ?
Why no arrows ?
Oh ho. Someone didn't hear the wailing that Mulan was a rejection of traditional Chinese culture in favor of white Western feminist ideals.
Also Christina Aguilera doing the vocals for Reflection on the album instead of the superior vocals of Lea Salonga, but that's was also partly a criticism of Disney burying their incredibly qualified vocal talent in favor of garbage pop versions of their songs for the album release.
Unrelated: I heart Ming-Na Wen
Replacing Salonga with Aguilera was fine because that is replacing one laowai with another.
a rejection of traditional Chinese culture
They are aware that China (well, PRC but I'm not getting into the, ROC fans) just spent the last seventy years rejecting traditional Chinese culture, right?
They're saying sincere things vehemently. I think they see the rest as fine detail which can all be sorted out by academic purists later.
Endless opportunity for giggles, watching people (usually women) arguing on the internet that Mulan should have gotten married and had babies as her cultural values saw proper. Good times.
So wait, they're not even willing to argue for the actual story?
You know, the one where she commits suicide rather than become the Khan's concubine?
Disney's Mulan flopped in China.
Seriously though, all I know about this movie is that it's likely going to cost me a shitload of money thanks to having a princess-obsessed daughter. Frozen nearly drove me to bankruptcy.
Let it go, JB.
What you did there, I see it
I'm sorry, JB.
"Heh, heh, then you're *not* going to like our next movie, Princess Awesome in the Land of the Merchandising Tie-Ins."
/Disney Corp.
Why did Everything is Awesome just pop into my head when I read that?
The Princess Adventure! Featuring all the Princesses in one movie!
Straight up Unikitty line.
Well, at least dress-up doesn't look like it might involve glitter.
Put your foot down and refuse to take her.
Won't matter. If I don't take her Grandma will.
Then you're not paying for it.
Would that the cost of a movie ticket is all the cost associated with Disney Princess movies when you have a princess-obsessed child.
Disney already did a Polynesian movie. When are we going to get a Canadian hero?
They made a whole movie called "Frozen". What else do you want?!
More beer and hockey.
Canadian Hero?
I'm pretty sure that's an oxymoron though...
Can we get a trigger warning that this link comes from Vox, Robby?
The same Vox that said this yesterday:
(before adding a Post-WWII caveat without putting a notice that they edited the articles)
Link?
Here's the article. This is what the paragraph says now.
Here's a tweet with a screenshot showing what it originally said.
I love when Vox authors look like Vox authors.
Why are there so many hipsters named Zack?
JB, Robbo just milked you like he does all the other victims. They don't even realize it while staring at the glorious hair.
FN-style political movement
"The United States will be a majority minority country in 30 years"
A plurality of minorities, none of which constitute more than 50% of the population, means white people are still going to be the majority.
These idiots really don't understand math, do they?
I don't get how what your saying works. If whites are still above 50% then the other groups couldn't be a plurality, a plurality indicates that you are the largest group without attaining the majority requirement of having mire than 50%
In the case of Spain, was Franco really the far right, or would that be the Royalists?
Fascists are what is more better known as 'a little less than extreme left'. They're 'right' of the most extreme of the leftists, but they never actually come anywhere near the actual 'right' at all.
"more better".....more coffee.
"more well" instead
And that map of ISIS territory that labels Jordan as Saudi Arabia.
Margaret Thatcher says "Hello."
Because by Vox standards, she was definitely far-right.
That's not fair. By Vox standards, anyone to the right of Joseph Stalin is far right.
I think they'd allow old Helmut Kohl or Angela Merkel the covented "centre-right" moniker.
Hilarious:
"Hillary Clinton knocks Jimmy Fallon for 'softball' Trump interview"
[...]
"Many critics said Fallon was too soft on Trump, humanizing him and delivering a promotional puff piece. They said he should have used the opportunity to ask hard-nosed questions."
http://www.sfgate.com/politics.....234205.php
I'm sure he asked very pertinent questions regarding her 'somewhat truthy' comments regarding here server, right?
Hillary Clinton, in other words: "Why didn't you kick him in his soft balls, Jimmy?"
"Jimmy. Jimmyyyyyy."
NO SUGARFREE COPYCATS!!! One is enough sir.
Careful CX there can be only one...
Many critics said Fallon was too soft on Trump, humanizing him
Wait...Trump isn't human?
All the rabid screeds and rending of garments finally make sense.
How dare we humanize the unclean people we don't like.
She said while opening a pickle jar on Jimmy Kimmel.
There is a difference between soft-ball and image-creation.
I find candidates appearing on comedy talk show the most annoying. Didn't they used to at least pretend to be serious and dignified?
It started with Nixon.
"Sock it to me?
Critics say Disney's Moana costume is cultural appropriation.
Mind blown. I would've never thought of brownface as "cultural appropriation". You're like appropriating their SKIN, man.
I confess that I don't understand the difference between multiculturalism and cultural appropriation.
I don't want to, but still.
That's because cultural appropriation is nonsensical.
I thought cultural appropriation was Disney's whole schtick?
I was most pissed off about their inaccurate portrayal of toy cultures.
Don't even get me started about the demeaning way robots are depicted. Wall-E was basically this century's Birth of a Nation
Also, how dare they implied that lions and pumbas can be friends!

Sen. Elizbeth Warren wants the CEO of Wells Fargo to resign.
Neighboring chief force braves hunt buffalo to extinction, up pelt quotas.
Of course, Great War propaganda is so hilariously dickish it would cause modern folks to throw a fit.
*Kennel, not a dog-like computer program.
I was hoping for a TRON reference.
As someone mentioned earlier today, some feminists used a similar comparison, so I guess they're Nazis, too.
Really, you didn't need me to make that realization.
More evidence that the EPA has become for the green movement what the SD was for the Nazi party.
I'll wait for the charges and firings
Goo?
It's hardly fair.
With a last name like Goo, you name your kid something boring like Michael? At least go with a rhyme like Drew or an alliteration like Gilbert.
Yet more proof we're actually living in an Ayn Rand novel.
An EPA administrator named Goo? What is this, Ghostbusters?

Andy Richter Shares Personal Story of Abortion at Planned Parenthood Fundraiser
TBS rejoices!
Did he just do a spoken word version of the song Brick?
He was drowning slowly.
First thing that came to mind.
Maybe if Andy had done less fucking, he might not have to kill off his babies.
Planned Parenthood prevented Andy Richter from reproducing, so I guess you can say they helped us all.
If they promise to do the same for John Oliver, I'll send them a check today.
Too late. You already have.
We were totally prepared to have sex, but totally unprepared to live with the consequences of our actions. But since I can predict the quality of life of someone who never had a chance to breath, I totally know it was the right decision for everyone involved.
He'd have made a great Nazi.
Sometimes I see strong parallels between abortion stories and stories where a hooker ends up buried in a nature preserve.
When Life Imitates Snark = Yes, The FBI Was Warned About the NYC Bomber Beforehand
"A U.S. law enforcement official confirmed the elder Rahami had twice met with the FBI, first saying that he was worried his son was hanging out with people who might have connections to militants..The FBI tried to check out the father's story, and conducted what officials now describe as an "assessment" of that information.
That just means they need to spy on you harder and faster.
Under the Obama regime, Muslims terrorists aren't the enemy, they're the good guys. You and I are the enemy.
Famous But Incompetent
IIRC the Boston Bombers father did the same.
Maybe the Fed Gov should start taking these warnings from people who know the subject best a little more seriously ?
And the Orlando shooter
They were too busy investigating Mrs. Mateen.
I'm not exactly a fan of FBI/NSA/NSC/DHS/CIA/DoJ/NII "Terrorist Watch Lists". I was *on one*, once, due to a case of mistaken-identity.
I'm sure Dennis was to blame. What an asshole that guy was.
They have these watch lists, and for some reason they cannot place people on the watch list who are going to go on to commit terrorist acts, so why even bother having the watch lists?
make-work
How much do you want to bet the people complaining about "cultural appropriation" the most are those that eat lentil hummus and don't understand the difference between couscous and rice dishes?
Uncivilized savages.
^This. But it's ok because they are enlightened and respectful.
"lentil hummus"
ABSOLUTELY HARAM!!
I installed a chrome plugin that changes all instances of collage to college and vice versa but now I can't uninstall it. It's giving me a headache.
A collage is where students learn that neoliberalism is evil.
A college is a piece of art.
Are you reading that right?
From now on, every time I see the mind-boggling confusion between loose & lose, I'm going to tell myself it's because of a rogue chrome plugin.
Inserting random spelling errors into intelligent writing and removing them from ignorant screeds is a great equalizer. I expect the handicapper general to get write on this.
You'll regret that when it bites you in the as two.
Ha! I saw what you did their.
That was not randem.
and what of those that use "than" in place of "then"
I should shuuush though cause I'm lysdexic and see many a typo in my future.
Washington, D.C. residents: prepare to pay sales tax on Amazon orders.
Awwwww, poor Rico.
Of course, you big government liberal democrats will continue to live there anyway, because it's where you're most comfortable.
You do know that your boy Trump has attacked Bezos and Amazon on this exact issue?
You can't expect things like reality to get in the way of DD's unhinged rants, then they'd fail to be unhinged, and that's just false advertising.
Which way? It doesn't matter to me, the "no sales tax" ship sailed long ago.
This article makes it clear what his position was.
http://www.redstate.com/streif.....-coverage/
You tell 'em, Mikey. They're such leftists, they probably even believe Barack Obama is the president!
DICK SUCKER OF O!
Jack Black is an inspiration to not very attractive, slightly pudgy white men everywhere, and you'd better not be talking shit about him.
That man is a national treasure.
Jack Black is just a tribute.
It's not Black that was the reason I cannot go on reading...
Just remember when Chris Farley was so meteorically talented he could drag David Spade around and sell movies.
The Constitution is an obstacle to be overcome.
That's exactly why Citizens United happened.
In 2004, Citizens United tried to get Michael Moore's movie Fahrenheit 9/11 regulated as political advertising and failed. They responded with Hillary: The Movie which the Federal Elections Committee said was political advertising. They took that to court and we know the rest.
Feature, not bug
Hell, I think the NRA was setting up a television station or something after Citizens United passed, so they could be "the press".
So, the answer is obvious:
Prof. Loury was unceasingly polite during that interview.
You mean that he needed to be? They were going after him?
That last question...
Well, I thought that politeness would go without saying in a polite interview, so if his politeness needs to be pointed out, maybe the interviewer was provoking him.
Right. You don't think that last question, basically accusing him of "false consciousness," wasn't provoking?
Ha ha, your clever trick to actually make me read the article isn't going to work this time, HM!
Police Accidentally Record Themselves Conspiring to Fabricate Criminal Charges Against Protester
LOL.
But sadly nothing will happen, and even if something does happen, the cops will get re-hired elsewhere.
Looks in police manual. Hmm, do you know, that is the proper procedure. Nothing to see here, procedures were followed.
A good question I saw on Twitter: If Trump wins the presidency, who will be the first columnist to argue against transitioning power?
Krugman. Without a doubt.
+1 Trillion Dollar Coin
Krugman might spontaneously combust. And with all those babysitting coupons cluttering up his place....
I absolutely detest Trump, but the only upside to his winning is to watch leftist government worshipers shudder when he says "I've got a pen, and I've got a phone."
It's not like they'll learn anything. If they were capable of that, they wouldn't be who they are and the world would be a much much better place.
And we might get some semblance of an antiwar movement again for a few years.
And the press would investigate the Executive Branch and report actual findings. It would be the less worse than Hillary making it the 2nd worst thing that can happen in November.
SMOD is the fourth.
I've always wondered what will happen when a President finally refuses to transition power. Will somebody high enough in the military have the balls to defend the Constitutional order? I'm not so sure but I'm worried it might happen in my lifetime.
I would think that you go ahead with the swearing in at the appointed time, and then have everyone obey the new guy.
Yeah, seems like how these kinds of things normally go down.
*(I watch it so you don't have to)
And if it was a gaffe, it was a gaffe that Hillary committed as well.
When I heard about it, the first thing that came to my mind was "bombing". Second was "probably Islamic terrorists". A lot of ordinary people probably thought the same thing too.
Now if the media comes and makes a big deal of it, who are these ordinary people going to side with? The media or Trump?
How dare he jump to conclusions and scaremonger before all the facts were known! He was using that to his advantage!
:: sigh::
There's really no excuse for not knowing the rules at this point.
Did Trump say something? If so, it was a gaffe and serves as further conclusive proof that he is unfit for the presidency.
Did Hillary lie to our faces, then when caught with the lie, tell more lies? Mistakes were made and, looking back, I would have acted differently.
Can someone explain to me why this was supposed to be a gaffe?
Trump said it.
Deputy Jails Women For Slurs: Cries During Hearing
An amusing example of people in authority playing the victim-card; and of pretending racial 'victimization' when they're the ones carrying the gun.
The actual video of the incident is.... like a case study in "how to create a problem out of nothing"
"an emotional hearing in which sheriff's Deputy Marcus Holton demanded they each be sentenced to a year in jail"
Wait, I thought the victim of a crime could only make an "impact statement" without recommending a specific punishment?
Or maybe I'm thinking of capital cases. Or cases where the victim is a "civilian."
Will I be jailed if I employ the transphobic slur of "sissy"?
I mean, come on! A man is allowed to cry only two times in his life: his father's funeral and the end of Old Yeller.
Honestly, after I watched the video, i was on the cop's side.
They didn't *do* anything wrong. Its just that they did EVERYTHING wrong after not doing anything wrong.
Those women really couldn't have handled themselves any worse.
My point exactly. Everything that happened was created out of thin air by their idiotic hysterical over-reaction.
Crying after sex is not ok anymore??
Might be related to the Brown Noise. Somewhere in there I could hear "Let a woman talk! Let a woman talk!", when shrieking and bitching incomprehensible is all she'd done up to that point. That's when the frequency reached it's highest level for me.
"Please only one person talk at a time."
Ok, those women were hysterical cunts, but crying about it? What a fucking pussy. Turn in your badge.
Democrats torpedo compromise plan which would have resulted in repeal of North Carolina's HB2 in exchange for Charlotte repealing its "civil rights" (anti-free-association) ordinance
I can smell Robby links from down the block.
Is it the hair product?
According to NPR, the older saying "one bad apple spoils the bunch" dates back to Shakespeare.
Yeah, but that was back in 2011 before they knew Trump was going to use a similar comparison.
It's really unfair to take stuff the media said before Trump ran and use it to show that Trump isn't really so bad.
/sarc
They're not even close to the same story. What a bunch of tripe. I might eat a few of a bowl with three poison skittles....if that's all there was to eat in the world. Maybe there will be mushrooms too?
Yes, there will be mushrooms.
Jesus = Now With 2X the Inflammation-Reducing Strength
What the fuck is a "Jesus shot"?
and
People and their B vitamins
Some of us really dig seeing neon yellow urine.
TMI
Sorry. I have to work on that.
Jesus shot? I thought that's what the youth pastor would give little boys at the prayer camp.
I can't believe they printed that interview in Vox.
Also, it's fuckin' weird agreeing with Elizabeth Warren.
I hope for his sake he has tenure.
Now, on to the "truly important" news of the day, that reason has chosen not cover for some reason, I can only assume it has something to do with the sinister COZMO-CUCK CABAL running this place:
Brangelina is no more.
And they seemed so stable.
Just another example of the universal truth that no matter how hot a woman is, some man somewhere is tired of her shit.
Or that Brad learned his lesson about sticking your dick in crazy.
My understanding is that part of her complaint is him sampling other women for comparison.
At least we still have Filliam H. Muffman
The Cultural Appropriation Nazis are going to make Halloween so much fun this year. The whole holiday is about being someone (or something) you're not.
They'll probably complain that wearing a zombie costume is appropriating zombie culture...
It's also racist because many zombie stories had a Haitian theme and made it look like Haiti was scary because of zombies.
Haiti IS scary.
But not because of zombies
Larry Correia had a rant on cultural appropriation.
Long but well worth reading (also applies to his books I read, to wit Monster Hunters International series and Son of the Black Sword).
The person doing the hectoring, of course.
More proof we're in an intellectual Dark Age.
"listened to rap music from a white guy from Detroit"
Ha!! He just basically confessed to being a juggalo!!
Anyways the best rap music comes out of Ulaanbaatar, the Ger District specifically.
Speaking of avoiding cultural appropriation:
Move over, AC, and see Walt Whitman sing of himself.
My wife got some of those. The smell, ye gods. I will admit that I am never in a rush to appropriate Indian cuisine. Its one of the few flavor profiles I really don't dig.
-
Tikka Masala is itself a cultural appropriation
While people are unsure about the actual origins, no one disputes that its a bastardization of Indian cuisine, intended to appeal to a more Western palette.
iow, most indian-food purists don't consider it "Indian" *at all*. its as british a flavor as marmite.
It's not British, it's Scottish!
In which case it was based on a dare.
Well now I just want to know what Belarussian video games are like.
I'm guessing he was playing World of Tanks.
That's way less interesting, I was hoping for some weird Eastern European thing like STALKER.
Between Witcher, Call of Juarez: Gunslinger and Bulletstorm I had a very good couple weeks of Polish-made gaming.
I remember when the Polish Prime Minister gave Obama a copy of Witcher 2 as a part of a cultural exchange, and that seems like a perfectly good waste of a great game.
The dumb mental image of Obama sitting in the Oval Office agonizing over the fate of Triss Merigold is almost worth the waste though, right?
I live in Maryland and I've been paying sales tax on Amazon orders for a couple years now. It blows.
It's especially shitty when you forget and you've ordered something over $100 and then you see your total and say fuck you.
Why can't they just make a reality TV show where Charlie Sheen does *exactly what he wants* and lets viewer live (or die) vicariously though him?
I'd totally watch a show about a guy knee-deep in cocaine, hookers, and egomaniacal ranting. Its healthier to watch *other people* do it.
Sheesh, he looks pale and disheveled. All he needs are missing teeth and he completes the look.
Not sure how to classify the commenters in the Variety thread regarding Disney.
Animal, vegetable, or mineral.
Also acceptable: gas or solid.
These are just simple farmers. These are people of the land. The common clay of the new West. You know... morons.
Hillary's Health Problems Causes Crash In Peso
I'm sure there's a quasi logical case for that... somewhere. I used to cover stuff that involved a lot of peso-movement; we used to joke that the Peso was like a lightweight drunk. it was constantly either bubbling, or falling on its face.
"Sen. Elizbeth Warren wants the CEO of Wells Fargo to resign."
In related news, I want Sen. Elizabeth Warren to go scalp herself.
OK, look. Having a half-dressed woman in your movie is not sexist. Its not. It may be boorish, inappropriate, *whatever* - its not sexist.
Yeah, but what is the *reason* for it?
(Googles Karen Gillan)
Oh, I think I suspect what the reason might be...
I'm sure The Rock won't take his shirt off for a little beefcake.
What's wrong with sexy?
THAT'S NOT FUNNY!
A 75yr Old Champion Arm Wrestler
Except the Nazi said nothing about Skittles, or candy of any kind, or any number of things in a bowl.
Other than that, what Jr. said was exactly like a mother teaching her son to hate Jews..
You've obviously missed the penetrating and timely lesson of that story: Donald Trump is a Nazi.
TIL what's up with those triple parentheses around names. Things I still don't understand: the continuing prevalence and vitriol of antisemitism.
i don't get it either.
my guess is that its always been "Why are they so successful?"-spite. because there are a lot of jewish people in finance, doctors, lawyers, CEOs, entertainment moguls etc.... gradually people develop the impression that they must all be pulling strings for one another, and 'exploiting' the gentiles by manipulating things behind the scenes.
but i've never had the patience to listen to the NRx/Alt-righters about their Jew-obsession for more than 2 seconds before i get bored to tears.
Say what you will about the motivations of the pro-Palestine crowd, Dude, at least it's comprehensible.
"Nazi Who Originated Donald Trump Jr.'s Skittle Analogy Was Hanged at Nuremberg," according to The Intercept.
Huhn. I didn't know Skittles have been around that long.
If it has it probably began as something lame like an antiemetic for pregnant women.
?Critics say Disney's Moana costume is cultural appropriation.
?And the new Jumanji movie is sexist.
This is the part where Graham Chapman announces that the skit has become entirely too silly and we need to move on to something completely different.
Ha ha, if only
I think the dems can sense a trump win and the country wholeheartedly rejecting them. Of course they will just double down and blame the wreckers and kulaks for pulling wool over eyes.
They are like a business who starts insulting their customers that are just browsing and don't end up buying. Lefties don't conceive that customer may plan to come back later
We Don't Need a Wall = We Need an Exit Sign
Clearly the Trump is working.
I've been there... it sucks. May all of your documentation of the fuck up be good, and cover your ass.
FFS We now have blatant racism completely ignored, and made up racism through "cultural appropriation".
