Mitt Romney Wants to See Gary Johnson and William Weld on the Debate Stage
While they have yet to nail down an official endorsement from the Trump-hating former GOP presidential candidate Mitt Romney, the Libertarian campaign of Gary Johnson and William Weld did this afternoon win his endorsement of them appearing in the national presidential and vice presidential debates, via his twitter feed, in which he wrote that "I hope voters get to see former GOP Governors Gary Johnson and Bill Weld on the debate stages this fall."

He has binders full of people he wants to see on that debate stage.
You had your chance to bring a libertarian message to a broader audience, Mitt, and you fuckin' blew it.
Remember when Mitt won the first debate against Barack Obama, and probably mostly won it the second time but it didn't matter?
I remember Mitt not giving a flying fuck about third party candidates being on his debate stage in 2012. Though on the off chance that he did give a fuck, I think it's a safe bet that his fuck giving would have been about the outrage of sharing the stage with a third party candidate.
If I were the frontrunner, I wouldn't care about the competition either.
But is anyone of consequence listening to Mitt Romney!
Only in Utah.
He's got 1.79M twitter followers and seems to tweet sparingly these days. It certainly can't hurt.
Same guy who pulled every dirty trick in the book to keep Ron Paul from speaking at the GOP convention. He's not your friend and nobody cares what he thinks any more.
Off Topic: Another reason to root for Trump?
http://www.nationalinsiderpoli.....residency/
Nah, they will just hire other people to fill the jobs.
Your government will not stop being big.
"Your government will not stop being big."
Absolutely, that's why churning is better than stagnation.
Abolishing the civil service and returning to a "spoils system" would be a yuge libertarian moment.
Reason enough right there. Losing 25% of federal employees is a baby step in the right direction.
I trust bureaucrats even less than I trust Trump.
Trump: You're fired!
Civil service: You can't fire us, we quit!
Reality: Trump is not interested in downsizing government.
There will be no debates. After tonight's thing, Trump will assert that Matt Lauer was mean to him and now sees that the other debate moderators are unacceptable as well and that the debates themselves will be 'rigged' or 'unfair.' That or He'll say something untoward about Hillary and she will use that as an excuse to not be on the same stage with him.
I suppose it's better than wanting to see them strapped to the roof of his car.
Isn't he supposed to be pushing for Evan McMullin? I heard McMullin on public radio yesterday and they kept trying to get him to say if Romney was endorsing him. He kept saying thing like, "I will let Mitt Romney speak for himself," and I kept hearing "no."
Nathan Johnson or Gary Johnson, Mittens doesn't care so long as you vote Johnson
Romney 2020!
Great, now it will never happen...
The Willard Romney, libertarian stamp of approval.
It's time to stop talking about racism with white people
"This is why I submit that black people should simply disengage with white America in discussions about race altogether."
It's time *you* disengaged with white people, you racist jerkface.
You seem to assume that every black person is a dumb racebaiting numbnuts like you. That's a truly racist assumption.
Have a nice day!
(I'm addressing the author of the linked article)
(purposely misconstrues Eddie's remarks)
oh yeah? Well the jerk store called, and they want you back!
But seriously, it wasn't the column that struck me; we're all aware of the racial myopic being presented as the new norm. What beggars belief is that is being ran on the opinion page of one of the major newspapers in the US.
I was assuming that article was sarcasm.
