Do We Live in a Nation Riven Asunder Over Race, Policing and Crime?
Matt Welch talks about our wobbly state of the union on tonight's Kennedy.

Tonight's Kennedy (Fox Business Network at 8 p.m. ET, with a repeat at midnight) will be focused, as one can imagine, on the police controversies of the week. I will be on the main panel along with Red Eye's Joanne Nosuchinsky and comedian Joe DeVito talking about the politicization of police abuse, the ethics of cop-robots, and suchlike. Also coming under consideration will be Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg's latest notorious interview, plus some new scare about e-cigarettes.

Wait, what does this all have to do with a fake female libertarian gamer catfishing attempt?
Welch is outed himself pretending to be a weightlifting, Pok?mon-loving analphile.
You wish
fake female or fake libertarian or fake gamer? Cause as long as the 1st status is real I don't really mind.
You tell me. I prefer men telling me my opinions, anyway
And she bakes. The perfect woman.
I bake and "bake." Sometimes I bake while I bake, and then fewer cookies make it into the oven... not that I'm complaining
We're talking about anal and "anal", right?
It's called "intercrural sex".
She's as real as Morgan Fairchild, whom I've seen naked.
My 2013 birthday shoutout to the lovely Morgan Fairchild is a perennial favorite on my popular fashion tumblr.
Did you know you can get pregnant from anal? Thank goodness for modern medicine and the shots they make for everything
you can get pregnant from anal
You can also get pregnant from baking.
Do We Live in a Nation Riven Asunder Over Race, Policing and Crime?
Yes. And Over Politics, Morals and Religion.
At least morals and religion are voluntary.
"Do We Live in a Nation Riven Asunder Over Race, Policing and Crime?"
Oh, I don't think Riven is going to like this headline at all.
P.s. By the time anybody reads this comment, the headline will have been corrected, and I'll sound like an even bigger lunatic. So, many happy bluebirds singing on your windowsill as the cheese melts the turtles that are crossing the Christmas tree.

"Riven Asunder"? Torn into pieces into pieces?
It's like 9/11 times a thousand
Do better than Nick Gillespie... he as been a very disappointing libertarian recently 😀
@HAPLibertarian
"Do We Live in a Nation Riven Asunder Over Race"
Not in my little world. As long as I stay away from the digital world it's all good.
"Riven Asunder"
I always wondered what her last name was.
We can make it whatever we like right? Isn't that how the internet works?
Riven Asunder? There is only one copy left!
That doesn't look like a picture book
Close enough
I think we are a nation divided between the
A - "Narrative-mongerers" and the
B - "For the love of god, shut the fuck up"-population
If its not the horrifying injustice of lack of trans-sexual access to public toilets... its that the Koch brothers are trying to inject lead into our water supply.... or that Trump is riding a tidal-wave of racism... Black Youth are being exterminated in a Police-Genocide.... or that rape-culture has overwhelmed our universities, where 1 in 2 are gang raped before they get their overpriced masters degree....
well, that's Group A's ever-rotating proposition, anyway.
Group B is generally more interested in things like, "Why the fuck is the labor participation rate so low, and why am i paying so much for healthcare and not actually using it" and "why is my electricity bill rising" and stuff like that.
The fact that Group B is ignored in favor of the former by the media likely provokes them to make unkind comments on the intertubes, thus proving Group A's argument that this country is populated by millions of secret racists.

Which makes Group B pretty spiteful of the retards in Group A, and drives Group B into the ranks of people who never gave a fuck about what Group A thought to begin with.
"Which makes Group B pretty spiteful of the retards in Group A, and drives Group B into the ranks of people who never gave a fuck about what Group A thought to begin with."
This is true.
When the government is controlling highly personal aspects of peoples' lives, people are pressured to vote in a way that might screw up other peoples' lives just to get the government out of their own lives. In other words: when the government "regulates" who or how many you can marry, what kind of gun you can own, how you must pay for your healthcare, what wage you must demand from an employer, and which bathroom you must tell your customers to use, someone's rights are bound to get thrown under the bus.
If the government were only involved in matters of contract enforcement and national security, there would be far less people who must sacrifice other peoples' rights to save their own, and there would probably be much less hatred between groups of people.
Do We Live in a Nation Riven Asunder Over Race, Policing and Crime?
Actually, no.
Of course that doesn't stop the media from ferociously trying to make the lunacies of a few jerks out of hundreds of millions of people something every American needs to own himself. It's revolting.
It's so bad we may need to go back to that earlier draft of the First Amendment:
If government can control firearms because the crazy and disaffected can use them to do grievous harm, then the government should control the speech and press that inspires the crazy and disaffected to do the harm they do.
For future readers:
1. There is no such draft. That's what the First Amendment would look like if it had a subordinate clause like the Second Amendment's has.
2. I do not actually believe that the government should control speech and press because harmful people might use them, just as I do not believe the government should control firearms because harmful people might use them. I'm just carrying gun control logic to its obvious conclusion in this age of unregulated media.
No, silly, the president just said that Black Lives Matter is just an extension of the abolition movement, women's suffrage, civil rights, union movement, and protesting the Vietnam War. So, no worries. It's just Americanism, don't cha know.
