  1. Nothing to see here, move along, nothing to see here.

    1. The city, in its filing, said it has not released all records “out of respect for the Pulse shooting victims and the families” and at the “direction of the FBI.”.

City acting like it’s protecting us Air Supply’s new album.

      1. ‘I want the truth. You can’t handle the truth!’ Hope you had a good 4th.

        1. You bet. Cheers, Adans.

          1. and most of a fifth!

  2. Mateen was one of theirs, like the Portland Christmas tree bomber. It’s going to come out eventually.

    1. It seems that the only ones the FBI can arrest are the ones they help create. In Calif.,Boston and Orlando they had no clue. Even with the patriot act,NSA snooping, secret courts and warrants they just show up when it’s over.Seems that giving up rights for security doesn’t quite work.

    2. Mateen was one of their whats?

      1. Possibly one they tried to encourage and create that didn’t take the bait. Or maybe someone they wanted to use as a informant. Fist has the same amount of trust in the feds as I do,zero.

        1. that much? I’m in sort of negative territory myself, but then I remember “never attribute to evil what can be ascribed to stupidity”

          1. More often than not it turns out to be both.

          2. why should you trust the stupid any more than the evil? they’ll both run you over in their car, one just isn’t looking when he does it.

        2. Yes. Orlando looks at this point very much like the result of a sting operation that went completely wrong.

    3. They had the guy in their clutches three times so I would say the chances of that are pretty good. They will try to keep that from coming out for a year or two hoping no one will notice when it does.

      1. A Hillary indictment sure would help distract from their dismal anti-terror record for a bit.

        1. I like the way you think. Much as I’d love to pin some blame for the Pulse attack on the FBI, anything that prods them to do the right thing regarding Hillary would be cause for celebration.

    1. Transparency when it benifits us, stonewalling when it doesn’t.

  4. All those nasty reporters want to see if they can dig up some sort of dirt, like the autopsy reports that will show how many of the victims were shot by the cops.

    1. I’m sure that’s a factor.Never admit a mistake and hide it if possible.

  5. Imagine working in that building in the pic. The Muzak blaring is a mashup of Darth Vader’s entrance score and Benny Hill.

    1. a mashup of Darth Vader’s entrance score and Benny Hill? I think that could actually work….

      1. For the record, this comment was originally in response to a now deleted comment suggesting what the musak playing in the building in the accompanying picture would be. I think the tune could be catchy.

For the sake of thoroughness, I decided to check youtube and this is the closest they had

  6. so “the FBI can seek to prevent disclosure through appropriate channels, as necessary.”

“English, motherfucker — Do you speak it?”

    1. I double dare you…

  7. Someone explain to me how the Feds can overide Florida Sunshine Laws (also the Bain of Nancy Gracy, long story)?

    Cuz this ain’t Connecticut

  8. Is there any information yet on how many of the victims were shot by Mateen, and how many were shot by rescuers in the gunfight?
