Photographer Catches Brawl at NYC Police-Firefighter Charity Football Game
Says he was told he "better not put this out there."

A photographer at a police vs. firefighters charity football game in Coney Island says a brawl broke out as the firefighters were down 29 to 13 and "really pissed off" about it. He says he saw helmets flying and caught part of the incident on tape, Brooklyn Daily reports.
A police spokesmen said rough-housing was to be expected at an event like that, according to Brooklyn Daily. "C'mon, they're playing football," Daily quotes the spokesman as saying. "They fight all the time."
Brooklyn Daily also spoke with the administrator of nypdfinestfootball.org. "On the field they don't like each other," Mike Serna said, "but off the field, we're all brothers."
The photographer, Angel Zayas, told Daily that, after the brawl, "they all came after me and said, 'You better not put this out there."

It's been a while since I watched a football game, so forgive my ignorance, but:
a) How many players is each side supposed to have on the field? 30-50?
b) Are saggy paunches an athletic standard of football players or is it more a fashion trend like beards in baseball?
A local police officer used to be NYPD, and he was on their baseball team, and he is very overweight.
Fun fact: According to their recruiting website, the NYPD has ten sports teams. Ten.
Yeah, but their definitions of "sport shooting" and "wrestling" are kind of weird.
B. Saggy paunches is a cop standard. Fact: During a carjacking incident in my own neighborhood, one of the responding officers looked like a Melissa McCarthy clone.
New York's finest.
That's what passes for a brawl now-a-days? Aren't there any drunken Irishmen left in the NY PD/FD? I've seen more violence at T-ball games.
not T-football i hope, NYPD Fines that, so i heard on the intertubes.

Says he was told he "better not put this out there."
Good advice.
Otherwise the little people might get the idea the NYPD is an intrinsically violent set up thugs with badges, guns and shoot unarmed people.
The ruling elites of NYC might get embarrassed.
No one wants that on their conscience when they go to bed at night.
They seem nice.
Firefighters won, right?
It's the Fun City Bowl in the National Public Safety League.
What's funny is a brawl like this would get professional athletes fined or benched for a few games. This is evidentially expected of the professionals that protect us (police spokesman qoute).
And we wonder how a guy loses his life for selling cigarettes on the street.
