Ivar Mol tweeted that Muslim children cheered when they heard about bombings in Belgium carried out by Islamic militants. Shortly after he posted that tweet, he got a visit at his home in Breda, Netherlands, from three police officers who warned him against making such posts. After media reported on the police visit, Breda mayor Paul Depla apologized to Mol.

Well, they did only warn him rather than arrest him so I'm not too outraged by this. I don't think using Twitter should actually be illegal, but I'm fine with some sort of social shaming. You use Twitter, next thing you know you're signing up for Facebook and Pinterest and Snapchat and eventually you wind up posting comments on Reddit and Fark and Youtube. Nip it in the butt, I always say.
