Donald Trump Promises to Rule as Both Conciliatory Dealmaker, Tyrannical Dictator

No Rick Scott endorsement yet, but will it matter?

Florida Gov. Rick Scott defied media predictions and declined to endorse Donald Trump (for the time being, at least), but it may not matter. Trump cleaned up on Super Tuesday. 

Trump celebrated by making a speech in Florida, followed by a question and answers session. New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie stood behind him while he spoke, stoic and, in truth, looking a bit miserable.

Trump went straight for Rubio, who had a terrible Super Tuesday.

"I always liked Marco until about a week ago when he decided to go hostile," said Trump. "He decided to become Don Rickles, except Don Rickles has a lot more talent." 

Trump emphasized the fact that Rubo hasn't won any states so far. 

"They say the loser of the night was Marco Rubio," said Trump. "He hasn't won anything. You gotta be able to win something." 

During the Q and A, Trump provided clues as to what kind of president he would be: a conciliatory mediator who values procedure and compromise, and simultaneously an iron-willed strongman who will sweep aside all who stand in his way. 

"I'm going to get along great with Paul Ryan, and if I don't he's going to pay a big price," said Trump.

At this point, Ted Cruz, who picked up two states on Tuesday, is arguably better positioned to stop Trump than Rubio. But neither is in particularly good shape.

Trump says anything that is beneficial to his goals at the moment in time that he says it. Which means what he says will always be changing to fit his current wants and needs.

Choose limited federal government. Stop making millionaires out of our politicians and lobbyists. Stop increasing the power of connected corporations.

Right. I'm not denying that there isn't a large establishment presence in Virginia, just that Virginia isn't the "most establishment GOP state there is", as bunnyman stated. Rather, it's torn between two factions. Do you disagree?

I'd say Ohio and Indiana are much more establishment oriented, just for example.

I think Virginia is more establishment in the sense that they employ a lot of government workers, civilian and military, and tend to vote for bigger government of either stripe.

Ohio is probably more establishment but only because they're more likely to use what works in Ohio to determine what establishment means. It's a bellwether state, so people look for what sells there and call it establishment in hopes it will catch on with the base and with moderates from the other side.

In that sense, Ohio Dems and GOPers are probably less polarized than in most states. Indiana is similar but a little more openly Christian fundamentalist, both on the left and right.

Florida is a little different because they have so many retirees. They're a bit of an outlier, IMO, except for when it comes to entitlements. Then they're always for more.

Florida is closer to Virginia than Ohio, in my opinion.

You know, the ones about the final email dump that a federal judge had to force her old department to comply with after she did everything she could to subvert FOIA laws and after she deleted 30,000 fucking messages from her illegal, home brew server? The server that has over 1800 classified docs stored on it, illegally.

But oh, no! Trump might get into office and wield some unforeseen power...unlike the fucker that's there and assassinating American citizens that haven't even been charged with a fucking crime. The fucker that stands on the dead bodies of every single victim he can to find a way to take our rights to self-defense away.
