Brickbat: Butt of the Joke

Health officials in Ontario have ordered the High Limits medical marijuana lounge to remove all of its ashtrays. Under the province's anti-tobacco laws no business can provide ashtrays. Marijuana smokers must now flick their ashes onto the tables and countertops.

Empty Coke can, flowerpots, saucers - lots of things aren't ashtrays. Flowerpots are handy for whacking dumbass codes inspectors upsidethe head, too.
No butts about it.
no ifs, ands or ...wait for it...BUTTS!
You just tell the officials that the receptacles aren't ash trays.
Ash trays are used to collect burnt tobacco, thus the anti-tobacco law forbidding them.
These particular objects are marijuana waste containers.
Do I have to think of everything?
THEN SNORT THE ASHES. Do I have to think of everything for you stoners?
yeah, pretty much, they're stoners after all...their thinkers don't work so good anymore
They could sell those little aluminum ones places like McDonalds used to put out. Sell them for a penny apiece.
Problem solved.
"These aluminum plates are not ashtrays, they're lids for customer's coffee cups. I know we don't sell coffee, but a lot of our customers drink it, and we don't want them to get anything in their drinks."
If you want to go that way, just leave a pot of coffee out during business hours. It doesn't have to be drinkable, it just has to be available.
Huh-huh, butt.
Huh-huh, huh-huh huh.
+1
Why not drill holes in tables near the seats? For butts? Put receptacles under them but out of site.
And make a political statement with it. Put photos of Canadian politicians and make their mouth the butt holes. Then it becomes a First Amendment issue and the gov...oh never mind. I forgot you didn't have one of those.
Yeah... Canukistan was the place that put a guy on trial for disagreeing with feminists. Freedom of speech is not their strong suit.
Can't wait til someone gets busted for lacing their medical marijuana with tobacco.
No ash trays, huh? What's needed is a machine that can take used-up plant matter and transform it into a beneficial mulch for flower beds and such. Do any of you know of such a machine?
it's not mulch so much as soil amendment, PK and micronutrients, and doesn't require processing before application. though it's probably a good idea if people aren't flicking burning debris directly into a flower bed.
