Left-wing magazine The Nation has endorsed Bernie Sanders for president.
NOOOOOOOOO!
They are on the list!
/Hillary
They named name!
+1 Lighten up, Francis.
Hello.
"Left-wing magazine The Nation has endorsed Bernie Sanders for president."
She blinded me with obviousness.
Dog endorses man.
Dog endorses its own vomit.
They hadn't already? Seems obvious.
1) Today in the Washington Post there's an article on how small plans with low costs are facing punitive taxes, "stemm[ing] from an obscure part of the Affordable Care Act designed to support health plans with lots of sick, expensive customers by giving them money from plans with healthier customers."
Man, it's years down the road, and we still finding out just how bad Obamacare is. I've read a couple different places that even with a Republican congress and a Republican in the White House, the elephants don't really plan to repeal Obamacare. But the thing is, the more time goes on, the more it becomes apparent the whole thing is a pile of shit. I think if Republicans do find themselves controlling the levers of office in 2017, they'll have no choice but to repeal it.
137) Goddamnit. Okay, try this link. And correct Thought numbering, too.
Dammit, the squirrels are also active this morning.
Another reset of your numbering system, JATNAS? Enquiring minds want to know.
Nope, just technical difficulties here at JATNAS Broadcasting System.

"an obscure part of the Affordable Care Act"
How many times have people been screwed over with "obscure" laws?
No, Obamacare is not an "obscure" law, you can't just say, "oh, we didn't know about *that* part."
And assuming the provision is obscure, doesn't the media bear a share of the blame?
Hey, Pelosi said that they had to pass it to see what was in it, what more do you want?
The whole thing a a obscure to Congress when they passed it which should have a been a killer argument against the damned thing
We need a law against obscure laws.
Feature, not a bug.
They told us at the time they knew it wasn't perfect.
The republicans may just be waiting for the democrats to beg them to let the bill be repealed. Once Obama's out of power everyone but Pelosi will lose the last reason to have their names attached to this mess.
Hence, "Democratcare".
No, Dems will say, "we compromised too much - we didn't go for single-payer - no wonder the law isn't working!"
First rule of liberalism: the failure of liberalism AUTOMATICALLY justifies MORE LIBERAL POLICIES!!!
The solution to government failure is always more government.
Obamacare was intentionally designed to give everyone awesome benefits during Barry's tenure and punt all of the adverse effects until after he was gone.
It failed on the first part, though. The awesome benefits failed to materialize and everything has already gotten really bad. Those states refusing to sign on with the whole horse and pony show fucked the democrats out of their gilded years that were supposed to get everybody settled into the new normal. Now the bill's coming due and no one is really attached to the bennies provided by the legislation.
Instead of being able to smoothly transition to single payer as the system collapses under its own weight, the democrats are forced to argue that we shouldn't roll back to the system we had before. They failed to create a government run baseline better than the baseline we already had, and with the constant hits people are starting to forget the things they didn't like about the past.
Well, I'm sure somehow or another that's the Republicans' fault because TEH RACEISM or something.
No, because the republicans wouldn't help to make it a good bill and take part in passing it. I have actually seen this argument being made.
It's one of the common arguments I see.
Only because he won reelection.
Obamacare was intentionally designed to give everyone awesome benefits during Barry's tenure and punt all of the adverse effects until after he was gone.
'Real' insurance starts being liable and potentially footing bills day you have it, not several decades of payments later. Most private insurers do not make money on premiums, but on returns from investing the 'float.'
Ponzi schemes can't work in that actuarial structure, even over short time horizons like Barry's career. No way can a Ponzi setup be liquid enough to make payments soon as tomorrow, maintain the political baksheesh, and stay solvent at the same time. Something's gotta give starting day 1.
Obamacare was intentionally designed to keep healthcare from collapsing under the weight of its' collusive price fixing. It isn't working, nor will it ever, any more than student loans will make education affordable.
Your answer was accurate as well.
Because mandating purchase of a product and setting requirements that said product be standardized regardless of consumer demand is the absolute perfect way to prevent a system of collusive price fixing.
I told you Yanks from the day they passed the bill you were fucked despite all the 'we gonna' rhetoric.
You're goosed and Obama goosed you.
Yup, it's never going away. The republicans, true their "Stupid Party" status, will work with the democrats to pass innumerable "fixes" that will keep making things worse, until there is just "no choice" but to implement single-payer.
And that 2 000 paged monstrosity will turn into 20 000 pages in no time flat!
Yeah, I think we knew that. But someone's got to try at least.
The stupid party leadership was bragging about accomplishing their back home promise by passing that repeal bill a couple of weeks ago (that was predictably vetoed by Obama) as if that was the entire thing. "We pass a repeal, mission accomplished!" No dickwad, your activist base wants the thing actually repealed.
Reminds me of one of my old sergeants. "I'll try"=a quiter who has already quit. Like the big gray bags of shit.
My premiums actually dropped 16% from last year*
*This is not an endorsement of the ACA.
My premiums went up by about that amount, and both my network and the list of covered services shrank substantially. Thanks, Obama!
In 3 years, premiums and deductible have doubled.
I'm loving it.
Ha! My deductible only went up by 33%!
Then you are one of the lucky few. This was not the case for the vast majority.
Mine stayed about the same, but I'm somebody you don't want on your system. My monthly medication alone eats up the entirety of my premiums from both myself and my employer.
Mine went up about 15%, I couldn't afford it and lost my insurance for the last quarter... great fucking system...
I'm covered by health insurance at work, and am benefiting from the improved HSA rules that raised the limits and allow the money to roll over from year to year. But I think my situation is better than anybody who is facing having to self-insure.
The really interesting thing that happens is that both my and my wife's doctors switched over to a accept-no-insurance-at-all, pre-paid concierge model this year. They just don't even want to deal with insurance anymore.
The next GOP presidential debate occurs tonight in Charleston, South Carolina.
SOOOOO PREDICTABLE THEY WOULD HAVE A DEBATE THERE - WHY NOT HANG CONFEDERATE FLAGS ALL AROUND TOO???!

Stereotyping is something only bigots do, like racist southerners.
The next GOP presidential debate occurs tonight in Charleston, South Carolina.
I may watch just to see if someone acts on bad advice and brings up the confederate flag issue.
*arches eyebrow, sips coffee*
Exactly. There is no candidate on that stage who would benefit from mentioning the confederate flag in any context.
Indeed. It probably wouldn't make anyone any new friends and would definitely make enemies.
So, we agree that The Donald will do it?
In other words, Trump is gonna bring it up, and everyone else will react by going Full Retard, and Trump will come out with a bump in the polls.

Alan Rickman, the British actor best known for his iconic roles in Die Hard and the Harry Potter series, has died at age 69.
I warned everyone after Bowie, but did anyone take me seriously?
I'm now going to have to watch Die Hard while listening to Space Oddity and see if they match up.
I hear if you listen to Space Oddity and Motorhead's Orgasmatron at the same time it will blow your mind.
I thought you died.
Not as far as I know.
Lemmy, Bowie and Rickman makes three. And they were all about the same age.

HANS GRUBER IS DEAD.
Again?!
It was a very tall building Swiss.
"Yipee-kay-ay, motherfucker!"
You know what other fella with a German name is dead?
I suggest you Goethe Google to find out.
Amadeus Mozart?
Alois Schickelguber?
Also, Amadeus was a French affectation Mozart picked up while he was in Paris. His middle name at birth was Gottlieb.
Nuh uh.
"When you steal six hundred dollars, you can disappear...but when you steal six hundred million, they will find you...unless you play dead."
The part of the script that confused me was when he threatened Holly and said 'since I'm moving up to kidnapping'.
Moving up? He killed two people in the movie. Last I checked murder kidnapping. I think that was one of those 'oops' in the script.
I put the symbol for 'greater' and it didn't catch. Anyway, murder -greater- than kidnapping was the point.
But kidnapping requires more planning and commitment. Murder you just do it and it's done.
Except he had already kidnapped something like 30 people. If you go and take an entire office Christmas party hostage at gunpoint, that's a whole lot of kidnapping charges.
That was a general comment. I don't even know what we are talking about.
By Grabthar's Hammer, he will be avenged!
Thank you - came here to post his most memorable quote.
You were never serious about the craft!

And I am serious that that movie is an underrated treasure trove of excellent acting, screenwriting, and cinematography.
Yes.
He brought a whole lot of class to that movie.
Also, "Grabthar" might just be the perfect super hero name for Biden or Slick Willy.

Well, strike another off the list of "moderate" Islamic countries?
At this point, start with a blank sheet and add countries to it.
So... what's on the moderate list? Bosnia? Haven't heard much come out from there lately.
Brunei's pretty quiet.
The Sultan is too busy inviting Usher out to his $500M yacht?
Bosnia, Albania, Kurdistan. Azerbaijan? Maybe Turkey? Formerly Lebanon.
Bosnia - pretty much.
Albania - nominally Islamic? Hoxa was as savage as any commie in supressing religion. I think Albania's state religion now is "Crime".
Azerbaijan - had some trouble, but is too busy growling and circling Armenia (and vice versa) to be much of a hotspot?
Turkey - I sure hope they stay that way...
Kurd areas - wish we could help them more.
Thanks, Switzy.

Brazen Islamic country?
Not moderate.
I was going to write something about how at least this happened in a country which had been enabling and ultimately breeding muslim extremism, then I remembered that some of the western countries which have suffered attacks have also, perhaps unwittingly, been doing the same thing.
Or at least moderately non-fucked-up countries. I wouldn't say the mere presence of militants makes the whole country non-moderate, necessarily. I would imagine the more moderate Muslim countries would be more likely to face attacks like this with the aim of making the governments less moderate.
Hang on their LTC. The headline says 'militants' so we really don't know who's responsible or what their intentions were.

My work pot was unfortunately not one of them, so my company lucked out and didn't lose an entire department to retirement (It was hilarious, we had two levels of management and all the product experts in on the pot).
What luck for them! They should buy a lotto ticket.
Bah, none of seriously expected to win. We're all engineers, though, so the money for the pot means nothing to us. Besides, the bonding experience of knowing we all want to flip off the company together was a reward in and of itself (seriously, two layers of management up has terrible morale).
I know you didn't. The joke was just sitting there, and I can resist anything except temptation.
You may be powerless to stop a drone from hovering over your own yard
he grabbed his Benelli M1 Super 90 shotgun, took aim and unleashed three rounds of birdshot.
Feel the Ben!
And while that remedy is (legally) available to people in rural areas, that can get you in trouble in most towns and cities. However, drones are fragile and I can think of a number of non-firearm mechanisms for dealing with that problem, starting with a garden hose, tennis ball launchers, net guns, drones dropping nets from above, etc.
Jarts
With contact fuze!
...attack animals of various species...
A good air rifle could also put a hurting on one, or at least wreck the camera. Technically illegal in most towns and cities, but since they are quiet your risk of getting caught is much lower.
Also, RF jammers.
RF jammers are more illegal than firearms.
Nerf bow and arrow
I've said it before: Counter-drone drones.
A tennis ball gun with two tennis balls loaded and connected with a cord. Chain shot for drones.
Sounds more like you may be powerless to avoid being punished after doing so. Technically.
So, the shooter took the card with whatever video was on it. Did he ever show the contents, that we might gauge for ourselves if it was unreasonably low?
This is the third part of a three part story about a man who was falsely convicted of murder and spent 15 years in prison.
If you want to know why the American justice system will continue to be completely fucked, no matter what we do, check out this quote from a juror on why they convicted him:
Someone must've done it. He's someone.
More like "someone needs to pay for this, he's someone, so he must pay". They didn't even really think that he had necessarily done it.
Jesus Christ, typical jurors are even worse that I thought.
That's some messed up shit. I know jury duty is a huge chore but it almost makes me wish that my number gets called, if only for a chance to stop this mockery of justice from happening again.
I've been called for grand jury selection. Not selected yet, and the odds they will take me are vanishingly low, but I am not trying to get out of it. If selected, I will serve. I think it will be really interesting.
The trick to beating jury duty is...
Taking Obama's "WE HAVE TO DO SOMETHING" philosophy into the jury box.
"And also because we knew we would never be held accountable for it."
That's awful.
Was I Raped?

I could see some situations were the victim clearly said 'no' and did not consent were shock might result in them not being sure they were raped, but if a couple months later you still aren't sure, the answer is probably no.
Did you consent to sex at the time? If yes, then you were not raped. If no, were you capable of giving consent (not unconscious for example, merely wasted does not count as incapable)? If no, you were raped. If yes, did you convey your lack of consent in a verbal or physical manner (attempting to shove them off) at the time (saying you don't want to have sex three hours earlier doesn't count)? If yes, you were raped. If no, were violence or what a reasonable man would consider threats of criminal behavior used to obtain the sex from you? If yes, you were raped. If no, you were not raped.
Congratulations, now you know. I'll make a flow chart at a later date, to help those who might be confused.
I finished at her period. And I mean "finished".
*narrows gaze*
Once again, every time there is a headline with a question mark in it, the answer is no.
Shockingly the article isn't actually that bad and is actually mostly sane.
In the end she concludes that no she wasn't really raped and that it sort of was her fault for contributing to the bullshit by which women who really do want to bump uglies with you will tell you no for a long time just to make you beg for it and she sort of encourages women to just be more honest about what they want
So I suffered through reading it. The dude was creeping on her for hours, she kept rebuffing his advances but refused to leave his presence despite, by her admission, plenty of opportunity to do so and nothing preventing her. When he finally made his move she didn't resist, didn't say no.
I imagine the hours with him consisting of this conversation:
Him: C'mon!
Her: No.
Him C'mon!
Her: No.
Him: C'mon!
Her:
Him: SCORE!
She was basically the most reluctant, least receptive fuck in history.
"Brickbat: Getting Too Close By Charles Oliver"
The story is about the Israelis refusing to put a certain book in the public-school curriculum. The book is about a Jewish/Arab romance, and the government thinks it endorses intermarriage.
It is the very nature of government-run schools that the government sets the curriculum.
That's a problem, of course, but the headline should be something like: "The government continues to run the government schools in Israel."
The very fact that students are learning from a government-set curriculum constitutes an argument for private education, but the inclusion or exclusion of a particular book doesn't make the case against government schools any worse or any better.
All in all, it's just another brick in the wall.
Was that song about a government school?
That is never addressed, but I assume yes given the socio-economic markers.
This is the school.
And here's the Wikipedia page.
I still can't tell if it's govt-run, maybe someone could clarify.
"It was transformed in the 1974 reorganisation of education in Cambridgeshire into Hills Road Sixth Form College."
If it was transformed through that kind of reorganization, it must be a state school.
I wonder what Roger Waters does when the Alumni Association comes calling?

Your mom is a brick house.
No. That's in the lyric too I was pointing out!!!
But I'll take the mother joke.
That's nothing compared to what your mom will take.
"That's a problem, of course, but the headline should be something like: "The government continues to run the government schools in Israel.""
I think it's more like "the government of a country with both Arab and Jewish citizens should not be taking a position against miscegnation since that's pretty fucking racist."
Damn, Irish, that's cutting right to the heart of the issue. Well-done.
Them boys is misceginated! Why, they ain't even old timey!!!
They're simply declining to take a position in favor of what many students' parents consider an abomination. Certainly religious Jews. Though in theory they wouldn't object to marrying a Jewish Arab.
As far as I can tell, they're not using the public school to tell students that intermarriage is wrong. If they are, that's yet another argument against govt schools.
Now, now, Notorious. You know that not celebrating, advocating, and perhaps even funding, people's life choices is opposing and oppressing them.

""In a brazen midday assault, a team of well-armed militants detonated explosives and opened fire Thursday in the heart of the Indonesian capital of Jakarta.""
Reminder: Indonesia is the country people point to as an example of a majority Muslim country that is 'moderate.' They're so moderate they jail people for 5 years for criticizing Mohammad on Facebook, there are provinces where they beat women with canes for wearing pants, and they almost sparked an international incident by executing a bunch of Australians who were caught smuggling drugs.
And now they've got ISIS affiliates blowing things up.
If you want to point to a moderate Muslim country, maybe you should look at Azerbaijan or Uzbekistan. It's kind of laughable that people who defend Islam know so little about the religion that they actually think Indonesia is the best example of a moderate majority Muslim state.
Oh, one time, in Indonesia, a guy got a prison sentence for printing pamphlets critical of Islam. A mob of over 1000 Muslims then rioted and burned a bunch of churches because they were angry he didn't get the death penalty.
Again - this country is only moderate if you compare them to the total horrorshows going on in the Middle East and North Africa.
Here's a thing. Are people here "defending Islam", or are they defending people's right to be judged as individuals?
I'm not talking about people here. I'm talking about people like Reza Aslan and other apologists for the religion.
Specifically, if you argue that modern Islam is a uniquely radical religion, you run into people saying "what about moderate Indonesia?" with startling frequency. It's a meme among apologists for the religion and it's completely laughable if you actually study the subject.
Maybe Indonesia is radical, but you can't prove it simply by citing a terrorist attack in that country. Unless you mean that there are Indonesian terrorists, but do we even know the nationality of these perps?
That's why I included this:
"Reminder: Indonesia is the country people point to as an example of a majority Muslim country that is 'moderate.' They're so moderate they jail people for 5 years for criticizing Mohammad on Facebook, there are provinces where they beat women with canes for wearing pants, and they almost sparked an international incident by executing a bunch of Australians who were caught smuggling drugs."
Ah, there you go. OK, not moderate. Thank you for getting me up to speed.
Thought I think Singapore executes drug dealers, too, and they're not Islamic IIRC.
Here's one of several people jailed in Indonesia for atheist Facebook posts.
"An Indonesian man was sentenced Thursday to two and a half years in prison for denying the existence of God on his Facebook page, a ruling human rights groups say demonstrates a rising tide of religious intolerance in the majority-Muslim country."
"Aan was arrested in January after an angry mob reacting to the Facebook posts stormed his office, where he works as a civil servant, and beat him. Police intervened and took Aan to the police station for his safety, the Jakarta Globe reported."
So they didn't actually send him to prison, they just gave him his very own safe space for two and a half years.
Now here's a guy from a Muslim country that needs to leave for more civilized shores. Leave the concentrated stupid of his homeland behind and hopefully find someone willing to sponsor him in a western country.
Irish, about 95% of Indonesia's weird shit happens in far west Sumatra, also known as Banda Aceh. It is a region of highly concentrated religious derp.
Indonesia is a huge country and a pretty damn nice place to live. And you don't know shit about it except for a google here and a google there.
Oh, good. I misread that as a passive aggressive twit at us hopeless cosmos, and we can do that argument again, but Alan Rickman is dead. It would be nice to skip it for one day. For Snape.
Everyone knows Love Actually was the pinnacle of Rickman's craft.
Well, defense correspnds to a mode of attack. Defending Islam makes sense when it is Islam, a set of ideas, that is attacked. Defending the individuality of people makes sense when it is Muslims (a group of humans who necessarily believe in Islam, but may emphasize certain aspects over others and may let it control their actions more or less, and who have different cultural traditions, and who have different personalities and personal ethics as well) being attacked.
I see both sort of attacks happen here. It probably makes most sense as libertarians to say that there are specific ideas that, if a person believes them enough to act on them, are dangerous. Islam (or some interpretations, at any rate) contains some such ideas. It's easier to reform a religion than annihilate it, and unlike human populations, ideas don't have rights or inherent dignity. Therefore, it makes most sense to talk about the specific aspects of Islam, as practiced, that produce bad behavior, and how people can be convinced to abandon them. And, if necessary, how those that do not abandon them can be prevented against their will, or by their death if need be, from acting on them.
Personally, I think "Islamists" (defined as Muslims who want sharia and conservative version of Islam to be the governing principles of the state) is a subset of Muslims, so I'm trying to refer to Islamists rather than Muslims.
Naturally, its a very fuzzy distinction, but I think its the best we've got.
19% of Muslim-Americans say that violence is justified in order to make Sharia the law in the United States (66% disagree).
ICM Poll: 40% of British Muslims want Sharia in the UK
(couldn't fit more links)...
World Public Opinion: 81% of Egyptians want strict Sharia imposed in every Islamic country
76% of Pakistanis want strict Sharia imposed in every Islamic country
49% (plurality) of Indonesians want strict Sharia imposed in every Islamic country
76% of Moroccans want strict Sharia imposed in every Islamic country
Pew Research (2013): 72% of Indonesians want Sharia to be law of the land

Freddy Lim: Lead Singer of Death Metal Band Running for Legislative Seat in Taiwan Elections
It's a bit funny how the age of majority and voting age used to be 21 in a lot of places. And it being lowered to 18 (or lower) has come at the same time as people have basically more and more delayed becoming a proper adult. One might almost think that when people are living longer and taking longer to grow up and enter the real world the voting age should go up.
In theory, but the government would just use that as an opportunity to conscript them.
"Left-wing magazine The Nation has endorsed Bernie Sanders for president."
Unfortunately, the Nation's first choice, Raul Castro, is ineligible to run as he is not a natural born citizen.
Birther.
He is a citizen of the world!
No Person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution,
Setting off the "or a Citizen of the United States" clause with commas opens the door to an interpretation that the Constitution only requires that you be a natural born citizen, but not necessarily of the United States.
Of course, it also opens the door to an interpretation that you had to be a natural born Citizen or a Citizen when the Constitution was adopted, meaning we haven't had any legitimate President for, what, 200 years?

From the comments: only the government could create a shortage in women's access to sperm
Also: Some women are using UNLICENSED sperm donors! THE HORROR!
"Some women are using UNLICENSED sperm donors! THE HORROR!"
I'm pretty sure 99% of all pregnancies throughout history were caused by unlicensed sperm donors.
I'm pretty sure the number is substantially higher than 99%.
You know who was created by an unlicensed sperm donor?
STEVE SMITH?
Jesus Christ?
I heard he was conceived on a popsicle stick.
That's so funny that I think I am going to hell for laughing at it. /former catholic guilt.

Money corrupts, eh? You don't say!
Do they laminate the licenses?
if you've got a private donor you can just go and see them, meet them somewhere, get what you want and just go
Back in the day, I would have "donated" to many a woman if I just got a smile and a little encouragement - I would have even paid for the drinks and dinner!
"Just nine men are registered as donors a year after the opening of Britain's national sperm bank in Birmingham."
They must be very busy.
But it will be worth it in a couple centuries, when they will be able to trace the DNA of half of the population to these guys.
It will be a horror for the donors if the UK has the same view of child-rearing liability as the US does.
Potential liability is a major reason for the shortage.
If that's the case even the licensed donors could be in for problems down the road.
It's the state clearinghouse that limits liability here in the US.
Theoretically, until some judge rules otherwise, because "teh childrun".

Kansas court says sperm donor must pay child support
Didn't have all the government permission you needed to have a private contract, so your contract is invalid.
El Chapo's lawyer says Sean Penn fabricated quotes in Rolling Stone article
I'm not going to say it, but you can assume what I'm thinking about it.
That "El Chapo" sounds like a great name for a band?
That "El Chapo" sounds like a great name for a band?
You are thinking about Rolling Stone's apparent lack of editorial oversight, and you wish that Hunter S. Thompson was once again in the magazine's employ so that he could send out letters like this one to Sean Penn and Sabrina Erdley?
Sean Penn has certainly done irreparable damage to Rolling Stone's previously sterling reputation for quality journalism.
I'm reading The Fear: The Last Days of Robert Mugabe.
This morning when my alarm clock went off and the radio came on, I heard back to back commercials from Clinton and Sanders. Both commercials amounted to, "Make the rich people pay!". I was reminded of what I read last night from "The Fear" about Mugabe's goons beating farmers, running farmers off their land, and beating MDC activists.
I had one little bit of hope. One of the MDC activists quoted in "The Fear" said, "The state is at war with its citizens - we are not armed, and they are.". Unlike the folks Mugabe's goons beat, we here in America are, for now, armed.
Unlike the folks Mugabe's goons beat, we here in America are, for now, armed.
The Democrats are working on that.
I know. It's why I added "for now".

One of the winning tickets was sold in Florida...
So this means that either some 80 year old grannie who won't live 26 years won, or Florida Man now has half a billion dollars.
Honestly I don't know which is worse
Both.
So, basically, the largest Powerball jackpot ever is gonna end up spent on crashing swamp boats into each other?
There were also two other winners, in California and Tennessee.
Three winners means each will probably get something like $175mm after taxes.
The incredible thing is, I bet at least one of them is disappointed.
I can see the "reality" series for this already
I'd watch that.
I told my boss this morning: "Good news! I didn't win the lottery, so I'll keep coming to work."
She said she wasn't sure if that was good news or not.

I have several thoughts...
- become a supervillain
- buy an island somewhere and become sovereign, hire a small private army to keep it safe, and probably host internet traffic that the government dislikes
- spend my time filing lawsuits against the government at every level - local, state, federal - on just about everything and constantly do it without relenting. Then I would also probably target politicians for lawsuits as well
- buy a city, maybe like Detroit or something, and then declare sovereignty. Then I would make it a tourist destination for prostitution (no white slavery) and cocaine. The advertisement would be something like, "Come for the hookers, stay for the blow."
