It's early, but this has to be a contender for the title.

Do you really want to vote for a candidate who would stab with a sword the very waterfowl he's riding?

    1. Duke   11 years ago

And a Canada goose at that.

      1. Drake   11 years ago

I hate those shit machines, so yes he would have my vote.

    2. CPADave71   11 years ago

No, he jumped off the goose to fall down to the dragon, which he stabbed. This ad is enough to make want to move to Canada (except for that "expanding social programs" thing).

      1. Fist of Etiquette   11 years ago

        What about that accent? Pass.

        1. sarcasmic   11 years ago

          Hoser.

        2. Citizen X   11 years ago

          What's this abote, eh?

  2. Lee G   11 years ago

This is what Rand Paul needs to do, except with rope darts.

    GET OVER HERE!

  3. Phlogistan   11 years ago

Why did he catch the tranny college student but let the indigenous person splat?

  4. Hyperbolical (wadair)   11 years ago

Can this guy be taken seriously? Expand university freebies, increase health care, and give more to the indigenous folk, is just populism without a plan.

    1. Libertarian   11 years ago

You mean.......wait for it................the Canadian Trump?

      1. James Anderson Merritt   11 years ago

Except he has the unbelievable magic hair on his FACE, not on his head. I think I prefer the Canadian approach.

    2. Mike Laursen   11 years ago

Why coulsng he get an actual indigenous live body for his ad?

      1. WoodchipperPatriarch   11 years ago

Same reason you never see actual minorities at a Bernie Sanders rally. Ingrates.

        1. R C Dean   11 years ago

The only footage I've seen of Bernie Sanders rallies definitely has minorities.

          Screaming at him.

  5. Haven Monahan   11 years ago

While we're on the subject of Canadian politics, here's the new Leader of the Libertarian Party:

    1. Lee G   11 years ago

      No Mexicans?

      1. R C Dean   11 years ago

        Its Canada, eh.

    2. Free Society   11 years ago

He didn't meantion buttsex. Why does he want to ban buttsex?

  6. sarcasmic   11 years ago

    Best political ad* EVAR!

*His policies suck, but the ad is TEH AWESOME!

  7. Libertarian   11 years ago

Fantastic special effects, but I couldn't understand a word with that weird accent of his.

  8. C. S. P. Schofield   11 years ago

His inevitable trainwreck should be entertaining.....

    1. The Shrubber's Woodchipper   11 years ago

I doubt his train will get up to the speed required to make it entertaining. Trump's train, OTOH....

    2. John Titor   11 years ago

He's a BC weirdo running as an independent in a First Past the Post voting system. This is probably the only time you'll ever hear of him.

  9. Chip the Chipper   11 years ago

So this guy is basically a young Bernie Sanders

  10. Mike Laursen   11 years ago

Somebody in Canada has been watching too much Parks and Recreation...

    1. Mike Laursen   11 years ago

Or maybe, come to think of it, all males in Canada are basically Andy Dwyer.

  11. Idle Hands   11 years ago

    Nothing will ever beat this.

I kept waiting for the hog calling, but it disappointed. 🙁

  12. Woodchipper of the Apocalypse   11 years ago

Anyone else sick of these contrived-to-be-viral shitpieces? Seriously, this is "Penguin of Doom *holds up spork*" levels of lolsorandumb.

It was created for the specific purpose of becoming a "viral video" and of course the media, which is basically your mom using facebook for the first time and sending you every image macro she can find, eats it up.

    1. Intrepid Demise   11 years ago

      Agreed, this was truly cringeworthy.

    2. Robert   11 years ago

Well, it almost got me to bookmark the exploding dining room, alongside the collapsing HS stage.

    3. Jesse Walker   11 years ago

Anyone else sick of these contrived-to-be-viral shitpieces?...It was created for the specific purpose of becoming a "viral video"

I discussed that phenomenon in the article linked at the end of the post:

There are two distinct but related phenomena going on here. One is advertising that was carefully designed to go viral: deliberately off-kilter commercials like Carly Fiorina's "demon sheep" ad in the California senate race. And then there are the outsider artists whose ads simply reflect the fact that it's easier than ever for anyone to create and post a video for the whole world to see, whether or not he knows what a conventional campaign ad looks like.

Answering your question: No, I'm not sick of them. I enjoy watching them get steadily weirder in ever more strained attempts to stand out.

  13. teamred vs teamblue   11 years ago

I'd vote for im. Except for that poor dragon. #dragonlivesmatter, dammit

  14. Citizen X   11 years ago

    Damn, i miss Mike Gravel.

  15. Robert   11 years ago

Obviously ripped off from that one that was linked here from S. Amer. maybe a year or 2 ago. Am I the only 1 who remembers that? Flying candidate, rays from the eyes, etc.?

  16. Russell   11 years ago

    WE WANT ZORG !

  17. Nick W B   11 years ago

Na, Carley Fiorina is running again, I want to see a repeat of the demon sheep ad featuring Trump.

  18. Almanian - Trump's Woodchipper   11 years ago

    Ohhhhhhhhhh, Canada!

*pats Canada on its head and send it off to bed*

  19. John Williams   11 years ago

Definitely it's a great thing he did from the candidate's side. He is not going to win the election, but for sure this ad will lead some voters to support him, I mean will vote for this crazy and yet inspiring ad maker 🙂
