Floyd Mayweather was Manny Pacquiao's opponent in the "fight of the century" this past Saturday, but the Filipino is now facing a more daunting foe: government regulation. The Nevada State Athletic Commission's claimed objectives of transparency in events on which heavy bets ride have merit, writes Jim Pagels, but its meddling is not just unnecessary, but problematic.
