Listen to Matt Welch Talk Marco Rubio and Rand Paul After 4 p.m. ET on KCRW's To the Point
Today after 1 p.m. PT on the public radio giant KCRW in Santa Monica, Ca., I will appear on Warren Olney's excellent program To the Point to discuss the presidential candidacy of Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Florida), specifically his foreign policy ideas, and how they contrast with those of fellow candidate Sen. Rand Paul (R-Kentucky).

You can't appear on radio, Welch. That's not how radio works.

Huge bullshit misunderstanding about the "Latino Vote"=
- that "immigration reform" is their core concern
"The economy was, by far, the top issue for Latino voters. About half (49%) of Latino voters called it the most important issue facing the country, according to the national exit poll. Health care (24%) and illegal immigration (16%) followed. These findings mirror other surveys. For example, our survey has produced similar rankings of the issues over the years"
Yes, it goes on to note that most think "new legislation" needs to be passed on the issue, but its not clear what specific types of reforms are the most appealing... and even then, its still below the economy and health care.
Epic Analogy Fail
The candy store?
"Where there's..... well... something OTHER than candy..... being sold."
You could actually hear him thinking "What the fuck am I even talking about?"
