Andrew Napolitano on Jon Stewart

About six years ago, Judge Andrew Napolitano appeared on The Daily Show to discuss his latest book with host Jon Stewart. So began a happy friendship during the course of which the pair have discussed and analyzed on air nearly every aspect of the proper role of the government in our lives.
"We were and are admittedly an odd couple," writes Napolitano. Stewart is the progressive Jewish funnyman with a tongue as sharp as a serpent's tooth. Napolitano is the libertarian traditionalist Catholic defender of the Constitution. They agreed more than they disagreed. But Stewart is a "comic genius" and "may be the smartest personality on television," writes Napolitano fondly.
