Wait a minnit, someone told me on another thread that cops don't get personal benefit from the exercise of their power. So clearly this story can't be true.

Local media report[s] that a criminal investigation has been opened in the matter

Does that sound to anyone else like they wrote up a report and archived it, never to look at it again unless sued?

    1. Jerryskids   10 years ago

The criminal investigation will go nowhere or be suppressed upon appeal so that the guy will keep his certification and get a job somewhere else - just like the agreement he made to resign promised. Why else would he have agreed to resign?

Fat face, wraparound sunglasses, apparent sense of entitlement...that can't be a police officer, can it??

    1. Crusty Juggler   10 years ago

Actually, in his defense I was in the special forces, special air service, and CIA as well, so I completely understand what he was doing. We were trained to do things, us guys.

Add: New Balance shoes, short hair cut, fanny pack or photographer's vest, and 'polar bear build' (i.e., muscular, but rounded with inch-thick layer of fat from eating greasy 24-hour restaurant food for meals), and I think you've got it.

One of the unsung sight gags in the movie Dodgeball, was where one of the teams was from some CA county sheriff's office, and they were dressed as your comment and the above . I just about fell out of the chair in the theater laughing. Somebody with the movie had friends in law enforcement.

This may turn out to be nothing for this guy. But unlike shooting dogs, or beating people to death. This at least generates talk of criminal charges. The other situations end with "ongoing investigation", "procedures were followed", "toxicology something something", and officer safety.

Which tells me that there is a lot more to this than the story lets on. I am guessing he is one very crazy, dangerous guy who went way beyond the pale. He pissed someone important off either because his victim has connections or he seriously endangered other cops reputations in some way.

        Tip for the ladies:

If a guy has a comic book name (Drew Thor? *snicker*) and claims to be a CIA assassin you should not date him.

        Just sayin'.

      2. mr lizard   10 years ago

Well the fact that she successfully got a restraining order despite his profession is probably what sealed the deal. No police force wants to hang their ass out for a possible domestic violence patriarch threat.

Actually I just RTFA, and this guy was a plasma phase hot mess.

You should have checked out this guy's rap sheet.

    Seriously.

UIf anyone is a CIA assassin, it is HM. He kills with links best not clicked while drinking coffee.
