Networks Not Airing Immigration Speech and the White House Is Furious, Will Utah Give Firing Squads a Chance? P.M. Links

-
AMC / Youtube President Obama will explain his immigration plan tonight, but broadcast networks ABC, NBC, and CBS are declining to air it. The White House isn't happy about that, obviously.
- A Utah legislative committee wants to consider bringing back executions by firing squad, since Europe won't sell the U.S. the drugs necessary to carry out lethal injections.
- Jim Webb has formed an exploratory committee to run for president in 2016. Webb is a Democrat, former U.S. Senator from Virginia, and former U.S. Navy Secretary. He is known for being a progressive liberal, but is viewed as less authoritarian than, say, Hillary Clinton.
- On the other side of the aisle, Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker is also prepping for a presidential run.
- Authorities have identified the Florida State University gunman.
- New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio plans to visit Rikers Island with an eye toward reforming the notorious prison.
- You shouldn't care who Michael Phelps was dating, but if you do, here's some news on that front.
- The "Breaking Bad" spin-off series, "Better Call Saul," will premiere on the evening of February 8th.

The White House isn't happy about that, obviously.
You pull in the wrong demos, Mr. President.
Look, there's a Kansas City vs. Oakland game on tonight, and, well Mr. President, you just can't compete with that.
I heard something on the radio suggesting that the White House hadn't asked for the time from the networks. That might be bullshit, but it's quite odd if true.
According to the CNN article above, they did not.
If true I'm guessing after hearing informally that they weren't going to get it, they chose not to ask.
I guess they are doing this knowing full well that it's not a generally popular move. Not sure they get that most people get their news about the government from sources other than Obama speeches.
They probably thought it would be given to them without asking.
I wonder if the FCC is going to start investigating these networks.
"Asked"? That's a nice network you have there.
Fine, "instructed," but in any case, the protocol has been for the White House to notify the networks in advance. If that piece of news is true, this is very suspect.
I thought the plan was to air it on Spanish channels and radio silence on "white" channels.
FWIW, it's going to be on Univision:
http://losangeles.univision.com
It will be on FOXNEWS and MSNBC. Think Madcow will orgasm on air?
Ok, so not radio silence. Who watches this stuff anyways?
Can't they just put the President on some White House channel on public access? Then anyone who wants to hear his wisdom can know which channel to tune to.
Hello.
Wow.
I was going to post when there was one comment but got sidetracked by a client and now there are 57 in a matter of minutes.
You guys are animals.
How about you were going to talk with a client but then you got side tracked by H&R? How about trying that, Rufus? Typical Canadian.
H&R, clients. Clients, H&R.
Tough one.
Why not both? Share the pain love!
As you can tell, that's exactly what I'm doing as someone asks me a question I can't answer.
I get all my customers off HyR. Not for my machinist business of course. The other stuff.
Weird stuff.
One from each state perhaps?
One for each State in the Union.
I pointed out last night that President Douchebag had every opportunity to make his announcements outside of prime time, or pre-recorded so that networks could provide when convenient, but that he arbitrarily seemed to say, "I like the Thursday night prime time slot for my self-aggrandizement"
Kudos to the networks for saying, 'thanks but no thanks'
Am I too late to the party? Is there any punch left?
Nope.
Wicked Skin drank it all at 5:12.
Of course, I'm going to be on a boat that week. Blasted AMC.
Do you wanna build a meth lab...
In my head "Do you want to build a meth lab" was sung to the tune of "Do you want to build a snowman". sad
So you're the one who hasn't seen it yet?

I guess I am (was!)
On a boat in February?
Going crab fishing?
Family cruise. I like them because the kid loves the kid's club on the ship, which means that we get a vacation where my wife and I actually get to spend time together.
As much as cruises get criticized here (and sometimes rightfully so after the problems as of late), my parents used to take me on cruises and we always had a great time.
Now, I haven't been on one in over 10 years, but from what I can tell, the number of rooms is rising faster than the relative deck space. Thats the opposite direction I think most people would prefer.
The only cruise I've been on was jam-packed. For all that money, you expect a little more, I dunno, exclusivity.
No kidding. I can't stand being around too many people.
One person max and keep your social distance.
THIS is why there are no orgies in Canuckia.
I get sea sick too easily.
I'd be a great deckhand.
Then I would think people would give you plenty of room.
Well, you get what you pay for. People buy the cheapest plane ticket available and then want to complain they're stuck on a flying Greyhound Bus.
There's cruise lines that cater to people who want a more intimate experience, but you're gonna pay more for it.
Yeah, those things are looking top-heavier and top-heavier all the time. Hopefully they won't tip over.
I was on a cruise once. It was like checking into a hotel and you can't check out or go anywhere else. They x-ray your bags to make sure there's no liquor or weed in them to make the experience more bearable. When we passed within sight of Cuba, I was tempted to steal some empty 55 gallon drums, lash them together, then try to escape to the relative paradise of Castro.
The highlight for me was walking through the casino with my 8-year-old (you had to pass through it to get to the snack bars) and having him spontaneously yell, "MY DAD THINKS YOU'RE ALL SUCKERS!"
Easily worth the ticket price, that last bit.
We took a Disney cruise in December once. Pretty nice, actually.
I did that as a kid. Big Red Boat. Stopped at Paradise Island (before Atlantis was built). Fun trip.
We'll be on Disney. I've been on Royal Caribbean before and Carnival, but Disney knows how to manage crowds. You're on the boat with 4,000 other people but it rarely feels like that.
Only real problem was on deck at the pool. Otherwise, they handle crowd control pretty well. The food was excellent, as was the service.
Serious question if you don't mind. Thinking about taking my gf and her two kids (11 & 8) on a Disney cruise. You'd recommend? Is it true we can just cut them loose while at sea, or do they need constant supervision?
I was 8, and I ran wild.
My sister swears by 'em. She goes with hubby and one of two Grandparent sets on an annual basis. I've only done Carnival, 'cuz my ex couldn't fly without scads of drama, and they had one boat that left from Baltimore. Don't recommend them unless you're in a similar situation.
They have a secure area for leaving your kids. They also have areas that are for adults only, including pools and bars. We did a little of that, and those areas were pretty underutilized.
We enjoyed the cruise quite a bit, but it isn't cheap.
Much obliged to all of you.
If you're going to the Bahamas, we really enjoyed Disney's private island, Castaway Cay.
A Utah legislative committee wants to consider bringing back executions by firing squad...
Driving up the cost of ammo again.
It's good advertising.

You shouldn't care who Michael Phelps was dating, but if you do, here's some news on that front.
A mermaid?
Mer man... Mer MAN!
Mer-ambiguously-sexed-thingy.
A seaweed-sexual man
Go on....
Person, not thing.
I can't imagine the world of hurt she has gone through. And I'm using "she" because that's how she identifies. Given her phenotype she has equal claim to both genders.
Sorry, I didn't mean to dehumanize her or make any point about what I think of trans or intersex people. Just lazily looking for ambiguously gendered word to use.
Seconded, can't resist a bad pop culture reference.
No, apparently an actual intersex individual, what used to be called an hermaphodite. Born that way, so nobody can reasonably argue it was a choice.
"Born that way". You're talking about the ugly face, right?
No, she was born with a vagina (but no ovaries) and a penis (but no testicles).
Jeez people

Who's winning the match, Pop?

Ah, yes, Stella Walsh
The urban legend is that Jamie Lee Curtis is the same.
Nope, she's supposed to be androgen insensitive XY. Chromosomally male, but try telling that to every cell in her body.
One of Skeletor's least intimidating henchmen.
Many tropical reef fish undergo sex changes during their life cycles. For example, clown anemone fish. Boy did Disney get that story wrong in Finding Nemo.
More of a manmaid.
Hopefully it's someone who can keep him from driving while intoxicated.
I see he was banned from competition...because DUIs are unfair performance enhancement. Kinda like the first snowboard gold medalist who cheated by smoking weed.

RAYSISTS!
A Utah legislative committee wants to consider bringing back executions by firing squad, since Europe won't sell the U.S. the drugs necessary to carry out lethal injections.
I have no objections to the firing squad, but why can't they use the same drug(s) that Oregon uses for assisted suicide.?
Or carbon monoxide? Or morphine? I just don't understand how this is complicated at all.
Because we want to have a death penalty but we don't want to have to feel bad about it.
I'm against the death penalty because I can't trust the government to not fuck it up. But if we're going to have it, a firing squad is the quickest and easiest way to do it with the lowest chance of fucking up. But it looks ugly, and we can't have that.
Oh, I'm against it too, for the same reason.
But the thing is, asphyxiation from CO or a morphine overdose are both completely painless ways to go - probably more so than the mystery drugs they use now. This truly baffles me.
Don't you tend to aspirate from morphine overdose? A dying person wretching is bad optics, whether or not they are conscious.
Well, I don't know. Just going from memory when my dog was put down, it was very peaceful, and I'm pretty sure the vet said she was using morphine.
I don't know either. I assume that if vets use it, I'm wrong. It was just stuck in my head that morphine OD tended to include vomiting.
You can avoid that by not eating for 8 hours.
I think it is usually barbiturates when it is a single injection. They are a lot more reliably deadly than opiates.
My vet used valium, rather than morphine, and it was immediate and painless.
Like turning a switch.
I cried like a dainty little girl.
The mystery drug is thiopental. They use it because it induces unconscious without pain. Propofil does the same thing but can burn on induction. This is all stupid because you could give large doses of benzodiazepines and opioids followed by marcaine and be totally pain free.
Just liquor the people up before the CO poisoning.
no hangover at least
I'm against the death penalty, but it's another example how the government effs up something the private sector has been doing well for years.
It's not, but they have a protocol damn it and it will be followed.
Because if they do then the drug companies who make the drugs will have to deal with protests from Europeans. Same goes for whatever vets use too. And I don't think that the state is actually providing or administering the drugs in the assisted suicide case.
Which is weird, because these same drugs are used by the Europeans to euthanize people.
Well, the people being euthanized are doing so voluntarily (or that's how it's supposed to work). It's execution that they object to.
Except the legal challenge is that the drugs result in a suffering and therefore a cruel death,so it being OK to use the same formula for humane euthanasia seems a bit contradictory logic.
I undderstand it is a whatever works approach rather than an honest one.
Would it kill them to just drop the death penalty entirely? You had a good run, Utah, didn't you?
When did Utah *stop* using the firing squad?
The 90's, I think.
Obama will explain his immigration plan tonight, but broadcast networks ABC, NBC, and CBS are declining to air it.
Those networks wisely wish to avoid culpability for the forthcoming violence.
Jim Webb has formed an exploratory committee to run for president in 2016.
Oh, I can't wait to hear a rehash of that Vietnam book penis thing.
Also the explanation of women should never be in combat, and why we should honor our Confederate war dead.
Women in combat are fine, if they qualify. Why wouldn't you honor this country's war dead?
I just realized I'm at the point where I don't give a shit about any of this.
"He loved Big Brother!"
Noooo!
More Victory Gin for me.
I'm getting there. I officially quit voting this year and now I just want to stop caring. It's just not worth the stress and anger.
But I can't quit you ridiculous people.
I didn't know Utah had gotten rid of firing squad executions. I hope they bring it back. If you are going to execute someone, man up and do it properly.
"Hanging's too good for 'im!"
Seriously. It's not a medical procedure. Make it violent.
It's not a medical procedure, but what is the purpose? If spending the rest of your life in a cage isn't a deterrent, why would firing squad?
The offender is going to die regardless. My point is the effect it will have on people asking for the death penalty.
So you are saying if it is more graphic less people would support it?
Eh, sort of. The death penalty in this country has been sanitized in the last few decades. Sort of like what happened to combat on CNN during Gulf War I. It's almost like a video game, and the observer is completely detached.
Even if it makes more people support it, or has no effect, I think it is good for people who do support it to have some sort of visceral sense of what is actually going on.
Yes, my personal position on the issue is that there shouldn't be a death penalty, but mostly because I don't trust any government to administer it fairly or well. And I think any possibility of executing an innocent person is unacceptable.
I agree
The reason I prefer more violent executions is nothing to do with deterrent effect really. I think I'd rather be shot in the head than lethally injected or gassed anyway, if I had to choose. I think that making it too clinical and clean makes it too easy for people to pretend that it is something other than cold blooded killing. And it just creeps me the fuck out. They use an alcohol swab before putting the needle in, for fuck's sake.
I was just going to mention that. Wouldn't want the guy getting an infection right before he's killed. That would be horrible!!
Actually, the alcohol swab makes sense to me if you know there is a chance that you might not go through with the murder. Let's say you screw up administering the drugs, or you can't find a vein, or Governor Dumbass has a change of heart. If you have to then return the guy to his cell you don't want to be guilty of giving him flesh-eating bacteria or AIDS or something.
That's ...not how you get AIDS.
Jimmy Lamar in third grade told me you get it from toilet seats.
That's not how you got AIDS.
I got mine the traditional way, high on MJ while having butt sex with a Mexican, like GAWD intended.
Yeah, sure, there may be some sense to it. But it's the clinical nature of the whole thing that bugs me the most. It is just creepy and seems dishonest in some vague way.
If you are going to do it just have someone go to their cell one day after appeals have all been exhausted and put a bullet in the back of their head.
Warren Torches GOP On Economy: 'We Tried It for 30 years, It Was 'Nearly Catastrophic'
Beat that horse, beat it till it's dead and then beat it some more.
"We tried it for nearly 30 years"
Tried the ever increasing state control of the economy? Yes, we have been trying that, but we've been trying it for around 80 years.
we've been trying it for around 80 120 years.
Don't sell Teddy and Woody short!
All those baristas with women's studies degrees are sure a boon to the economy!
I'm pretty sure this speech has been tried the past 30 years too. Could anyone listen to or read that and not yawn?
This comment is pure gold.
Uh, ever stop to consider why they might switch to part timers?
Shhhh! They can't think about two things at once.
Also, if they cut the work force it may just mean there's no work. It's more to ensure survival than 'profits'. Why should a company pay a worker if there's no work? That's how you go out of business.
The correct answer is Obamacare. Over 30(?) hours and the boss is picking up your health ins or paying a fine.
That's awesome. I guess Gruber was right, just lie to these idiots. They're too stupid to hold you accountable anyway.
I've actually read Ezra or somebody claim that there's been no change in status from part-time to full-time work. With charts. I just... have you talked to no one under 30 in the past five years?
After 20 years the guy is making $14 per hour. That's a fucking job that any sensible person would quit.
Semi-related, does anyone here read Popular Mechanics? I was very disappointed to find a very political article in its pages "The Innovation 15: Our Most Science and Tech Friendly Members of Congress (and the 5 Holding Us Back)"
The 15 are largely Democrats throwing large amounts of tax dollars at various things. In case you were wondering, Rand Paul is one of the evil 5. There's also a congressman who thinks the high speed rail in CA is a bad idea but OHHH, it's because part of it will go through some of his family's land, the unmutal bastard.
Sometimes I think John is right, proggyness spreads everywhere it can.
John is totally right. Progressivism is a virus you carry you don't know you have.
And good luck getting the CDC to fight it - they're already infected!.
It's gotten a lot more political and pop-culture-y over the years.
Is that the medical research done by Big Pharma?
Woman Sexually Assaulted, Set on Fire in Park
At least that's not terrorism.
Seriously, 8-(.
Good heavens. How fucked do you have to be to set someone on fire? I guess maybe he was trying to destroy evidence or something.
The comments on that site are really charming.
I didn't think this one was too bad.
At least that's sort of clever. The top 4 or so when I looked were pretty bad.
I can agree with that. There was a lot of stuff I wouldn't even touch right up at the top.
Most of the bad ones are one guy. And I think he's American (In the proper noun sense, not the collective-racist-guilt sense).
They have a suspect:
http://www.kansas.com/news/loc.....28847.html
would think the networks not airing the speech is doing Obama a favor. This way nearly everyone will rely on what the media reports the speech to be instead of what is actually going on.
Obama really is playing 3D chess
Using checkers and the shoe from monopoly.
C'mon, you know he threw a temper tantrum until they let him be the racecar.
VROOM!!!
But broadcast networks ABC, NBC, and CBS are declining to report on it. 😉
Of course they're doing him a favor. The overwhelming majority of the country despise him and what he's doing.
They're doing themselves a favor. They don't want people changing the channel.
In entertainment news more relevant to libertarians: Paul Greengrass is set to direct an adaptation of 1984. It could be decent!
It can't be any worse than Atlas Shrugged
You know, you say that, and yet...
It can't be worse than Dragonball. How about that?
The Last Airbender gives it a run for its money
The Happening takes the prize.
What about After Earth?
Perhaps, the US government should bar Shyamalan from making movies. A clear case where everyone would be better off through government intervention.
I find his movies even more offensive than cigarette smoke. They should be banned in public spaces.
Was it The Village or Lady in the Water that convinced you?
The Village. Which I actually started out enjoying, despite Joaquin Phoenix's best attempts otherwise.
The Village apparently has its defenders, but I thought it was terrible. The writing and editing were schizophrenic, and of course the ending was lame. I haven't seen any of his movies since, outside of Rifftrax highlights.
Oh really
That is the only movie I've liked him in.
I knew it was only a matter of time until someone mentioned that Shyamalan rat-bastard
He hasn't made a decent movie in years
I'm not sure I can think of a director who started off so great (Sixth Sense and Unbreakable are both awesome movies) and then just fall off a cliff quality-wise.
I knew it was only a matter of time until someone mentioned that Shyamalan rat-bastard
So, not a twist ending, then?
The Last Airbender should probably take the cake here. It takes real skill to turn a great property into absolutely unwatchable shit.
And I loved the animated series, too!
The animated series is fantastic. It's honestly one of my favorite shows.
And the humorless Shyamalan decided to adapt it. So strange.
Not great source material, but this may take the cake.
Considering the topic, I beleev that should be "kake"
It takes real skill to turn a great property into absolutely unwatchable shit.
So you have seen the version of Dune directed by David Lynch.
Anybody see 'Green Zone'?
Yes. I had to turn it off after 5 mins because, well... Matt Damon... in Iraq. Let's just say he was more convincing as the 'gifted genius' in Good Will Hunting.
Matt Damon's robotic method works in the Bourne movies, but expressionless stone-faced man is not always the way to go.
He did a great psycho in Interstellar.
SPOILER
MATT DAMON!
That's the only Greengrass film I've seen that I didn't like. It felt like a poor Hurt Locker imitation, with an even more ludicrous ending.
I never found beauty in longing for the impossible.
It just isn't possible haha
Unbreakable is worse than Atlas Shrugged.
Hmm, I was hoping for Michael Bay.
Cronenberg gets my vote.
I remember 1984. It wasn't a particularly great year. Why a movie? and why now?
/s
99 Luftballoons is making a comeback.
It's a movie about Dan Marino's record-setting year for a QB in a league where defensive backs are allowed to come within 3 feet of a WR without a penalty.
I think that was the year that Rocky IV came out. That was pretty sweet. Plus, the U.S. hockey team kicked some commie ass.
Also, the year we got a great adaptation of Dune
Never, ever, ever watch the remastered copy in hi-def. Totally ruined it for me.
I was joking, but I'll trust you.
Hey! That adaptation of Dune is gold. GOLD.
Is this what you're looking for?
Or this?
Both?
Both? Hmm... Yeah, both.
Honestly, the only way I ever found the Dune movie tolerable was the SpiceDiver fan edit.
Note the post timeline. I hadn't gotten this far in the thread when I posted above.
1984 is the year Master of Puppets was released.
Nope. That was 1986. 1984 was when Ride The Lightning was released.
1984 - Shakey cam edition!
Rats!
We know the importance of accountability on Wall Street
Okay, Liz, now explain why "we" bailed them out.
What you mean 'we', Kemosabe?
Whore's gonna whore.
Maybe we could get a package deal: The networks air his speech, followed by equal time on that guy Gruber?
Who?
He was the third guy, along with the Higgins Boys, on the Comedy Channel. He was, I believe, the thin one.
He probably does deserve equal time
He deserves to do time somewhere.
Mozilla is dropping its partnership with Google, and cozying up with Yahoo, Baidu, and Yandex instead. Here's the fluffy press speak version.

This is only the beginning of the takeover of the media by the Kochs and other cancerous special interests.
I am not sure what is more pathetic, that they think he has a right to demand time or that they think him getting time would do him any good politically. The guy is a horrible speaker who fucks up any issue he touches. The networks are doing him a favor not broadcasting his speech. It would just remind people why they hate him so much.
John, now tell us how really feel about Obama
"Is that not sedition?"
Interrupting the broadcasting of an athletic event makes people unhappy?
No. It makes them wildly happy, especially when you do it to have some moron drone on and on about how he is going to do something they hate.
Is the world turning into a real-life Monty Python sketch?
no. Monty Python sketches are generally funny with no impact on your liberty or wallet.
Is this not sedition?
I... I...
(Is this not sedition? should be blockquoted above)
ARE WE NOT MEN?
I really need to get some of that Koch money everyone is talking about.
You need to stand on the side of the road with a sign that says,
"Will Undermine Democracy to Perpetuate a Plutocratic Corporate System of Capitalist Exploitation 4 Food"
... and eventually someone in a Limo will come by and take your info.
Those are all fake, right?
they are but a sampling from a deep well of progderp that is beyond the conception of the sane
Ya know, the networks 'deny my right to free speech' all the time!
That is some frightening shit right there.
Does a government lose it's legitimacy if everyone stops caring about it?
What the fuck did you make me click on?
UniVision will be carrying it? to a wildly enthusiastic audience of Latin Grammies . ?and that's the audience he needs to reach. It'll have the psychological force of an "Emancipation Proclamation"? And that's the GOPper's worst fear come true.
The Solid South Will Rise Again
Which is all the fault of cracker-ass Republicans, one imagines.
Something tells me that guy isn't too bothered by the sameness of the Upper East Side or Berkley.
"You don't want to live there. That's where the Democrats live." The co-worker was convinced that "Democrats" was code for "black."
When we moved to Mississippi some years back, we purchased a house long-distance. I saw some houses that looked about the size we needed for what seemed to be very reasonable prices. The real estate agent, on the neighborhood: "It's kind of hard to explain..."
When we moved to Iowa more recently, the real estate agent told us that certain neighborhoods were undesireable because "the people from Chicago are moving to that area". I caught his meaning, if you catch my meaning.
Oh, I catch your meaning, Wahoo. There is nothing worse than yankee carpetbaggers.
So how about letting those self-sorted citadels secede from the Borg?
Nice alliteration!
Hey, I am new around here and I have heard a lot about this Warty guy. How do I go about meeting him?
I've been given to understand he will "reveal" himself to you when he's... ready.
Legend has it that if he's mentioned by name three times in a thread he will appear and rape everyone.
Warty, Warty, Warty
Are you fapping while you say it? Try it again.
Try a plastic bag over the head while jacking it if that doesn't work.
Don't bother with air holes
Now you have gone and hurt Warty's feelings. Warty is more than just a hairy, muscular, libertarian, rapey, guy. He is a human being goddammit!
Oh, shit. HE'S HERE! DON'T GO IN THE BASEMENT!
No, but I was trying erotically asphyxiate myself. Does that count for anything?
You fool. When you're split in twain by the Doomcock of Doom you'll regret this!
"Police were called to an unnamed 25 year old's apartment last night after neighbours reported what sounded like "a pneumatic drill repeatably being shoved into pudding." When police entered the apartment, they found nothing but a pile of mangled flesh centered in a room painted with blood and semen."
I wonder if the 4th mention cancels it out.
Whelp, time to pre-lube my orifices (orifici?).
Dr. Nikki, M.D., Ph.D. (Worstness Studies) recommends benzodiazepines if you can't find 'luudes.
Well what about these poppers that all the hip kids have been talkin bout?
Nicole and I have differing opinions on poppers. I'm a fan, she's not.
That's a thing I need to try!
Your pronoun use is unclear. In this sentence was "that" referring to pre-lubing, benzos, 'luudes, poppers, or Los Doyers?
Yes.
Poppers. I've about heard the VHS head cleaner thing, but that sounds sketchy.
Take a number, get in line, etc
Shut up, Los Doyers, you're mine.
You happen to be lucky number 1.
I tried one once. It made the popcorn taste like styrofoam.
If who is mentioned by name three times?
You are a tricksie one.
I'm keeping my eye on you.

I think you go to Cleveland and then he finds you.
Well first you should create a fake email and then try and gain his trust.
"Trust" = "dick pics".
Yeah but make sure you make a separate special email for that or you'll get banned probably.
I hate both of you.
But not our dick pics!
The lack of dick pics is why I hate you.
TAKE THIS CONVO SOMEWHERE ELSE YOU SICKOS
I think Lovecraft once wrote a short story about your dick pics.
The Scrotum over Innsmouth.
It has been described as his magnum verpa opus
I gave it a glans.
Nude, standing on a mirror holding a copy of Atlas Shrugged in one hand while watching Firefly? Will that suffice?
All depends on the goods. No one likes a catfishing old sack of wrinkles and dust.
Old wrinkly sacs on a somewhat not old man are like, the sexiest things ever.
Is Warty like a Gruber?
No. A Gruber is a small relative of the Grue. It lives mostly in the dark.
Warty is the dark.
The Dark is afraid of Warty.
On the equinox, if you sacrifice a goat on an oak panel, he will reveal himself to you. Forcibly. From behind.
Florida State Gunman =
Young, Black, probably schizophrenic... and assistant public prosecutor for the State's Attorney office of New Mexico?
TYPICAL PROFILE OF A MASS SHOOTER
Was his hate real low?
Hat. Damn it
Anybody else get the feeling that John would like to hate fuck Obama?
Not chubby enough. John's apparently into fat girls.
Tell us more about these 'feelings' you get.
Can you expand on that?
Is it hard for you to talk about your 'Inter-racial conservative-rape-fantasy'? Perhaps you'd be more comfortable showing us with the dolls.
Maybe you two could tag-team Gruber?
Why not join us and make things even more interesting. That way all of Gruber's holes are covered?
*all of his needs are met. My mistake lol.

Based on recent elections, they don't seem to be having much effect..
Uh...
what is this country coming too when the President of the United States is denied the right to free speech.
Excellent question.
Excellent.
They seem to think the modern-day Emancipation Proclamation is being thwarted by Teh Corporashuns!
Just because something isn't on TV during prime-time apparently means it "didn't happen!" to these people.
Also - i'd posit that "national broadcast network coverage during the most-watched TV evening-hours of the week" is not 'Free' by definition.
You're expecting these morons to grasp the concept of opportunity cost?
I actually tried explaining that very concept to someone who claimed that the WA state gun laws didn't *really* accidentally hurt the WWII museum...because they weren't going to use the guns for display now, so they weren't actually ever 'hurt'.
The idea that punitive laws *prevented someone from doing something perfectly legitimate* out of fear was apparently "no harm no foul" in that person's mind, since they were never fined!
Yes, i give them too much credit sometimes.
I think it would be even better if some of the networks offered to do 're-runs' of his address... on monday afternoon between Judge Judy and Family Feud
If I truly expected a couple of burly thugs from teh KKKOCHTOPUS to deny his "right" to free speech by throwing a hood over his head and dragging him kicking and squealing away from the podium, I'd absolutely tune in.
Tune in? Hell, I would pay to see that!
