D.C. Reasonoids: Join Us November 18 for a Supreme Court Book Party with Damon Root
Please join Reason and the Charles Koch Institute for a book event, Overruled: The Long War for Control of the U.S. Supreme Court, with author Damon Root, senior editor of Reason magazine and Reason.com.
Praised by Georgetown law professor Randy Barnett as "a riveting account" that "reveals the inside the story behind the surging movement to restore constitutionally limited government," Overruled brings to life the ongoing battle for power among libertarians, conservatives, and liberals at the U.S. Supreme Court.
First 100 attendees will receive a free, signed copy of Damon Root's book. Remarks and Q&A to be followed by drinks and hors d'oeuvres.
Co-sponsored by The Federalist Society and Reason.
Discussion led by Neomi Rao, Associate Professor of Law, George Mason University.
Date: Tuesday, November 18
Time: 6:30 p.m. doors open | 6:45 p.m. remarks and Q&A
Location: The Mayflower Hotel (Colonial Room), 1127 Connecticut Ave. NW, Washington DC 20036

If only the people at Reason would write some books. And pimp them on their website.
I was reading an article about the "brother from another mother" presidents and came across this gem from the comments:
They forgot the Lizard People.
Which one was the Yellow King?
Any fellow DMV area commentators planning on going?
I auto ask what you mean by "DMV".
You know, you kids should get out of the beltway some time. There's a whole other world out there.
You know who else had a party book?
Root... you magnificent bastard, I read your BOOK!
Sorry; our apartment manager is serving everyone free pumpkin pie that day. You guys should really check everybody's schedule before planning something like this.
Opting for pumpkin pie over cocktails and canap?s at a Beltway soiree? What sort of cosmo are you?
Ain't no party like a Supreme Court Book party, heeeyyy, hooooo!
Ain't no party like a Liz Lemon party!
i hate ruth ginsburg. She should had retired last year.
I see her dying in the next few days and the republicans pretty much blocking another liberal justice until they take power in 20116.
For someone that wanted to set the progressive agenda, she would had been more effective by retiring last year.
Did you not get the memo that you lost an election and need to put the mask back on?
We all know you want to murder anyone inconvenient to your ideology, even erstwhile allies, but most of your kind at least have the good sense not to say it out loud.
It's no fun if we don't have to coax you into admitting your murderous tendencies.
On a less personal note, maybe lefties (and righties) out to take this a sign that they shouldn't treat the Supreme Court like a sinecure.

I think that battle was lost with Court Packing and the penaltax.
