This is the song that never ends...

House Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) and Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) wrote in a Wall Street Journal op-ed Wednesday that a focus of the new Republican Congress would be repealing the Affordable Care Act.

In the op-ed published online in the Journal on Wednesday evening, the Republican leaders wrote that repealing President Barack Obama's signature health care law would be part of a GOP focus on jobs and the economy.

They can do this, if they go about it right – the law is unpopular and getting more so as time goes on. Start with the Individual Mandate – the most unpopular part of the ACA and the part that Obama is most adamant about keeping. Play up the man’s insufferable pig-headedness on this issue. Wait until campaigning for election year 2016 begins to get under way and then pass legislation to repeal. If Obama vetos it, he does so at the risk of the Dems losing the Presidency in 2016. He probably doesn’t care that much about the rest of the Democrat Party, so if he does veto it, then get the Dems to sign on and over-ride his damned veto. Obama and the Democrat Party can either repeal this obscenity of a law or they can watch the Republicans take over the government in 2016 and repeal the law anyway.
