A Santa Fe, New Mexico, county sheriff's deputy has been charged with murder after allegedly shooting another deputy in a drunken fight. Tai Chan reportedly shot Jeremy Martin at a Las Cruces hotel, where they were staying after extraditing a prisoner to Arizona.

My comment only had meaning yesterday Reason, thanks a lot. Now you leave it here, obliviously to it's lack of context... helpless...hopeless..*sigh*

      1. Steve G   11 years ago

        *oblivious. damn it

  3. Spoonman.   11 years ago

Why would they be staying in Las Cruces after going to Arizona? Do you mean Texas?

    1. The Hyperbole   11 years ago

It doesn't look like a straight shot but it keeps you on the major highways, longer but faster would be my guess

      1. Spoonman.   11 years ago

I guess it depends where in Arizona you're going from Santa Fe. I can't get Google to tell me to go through Las Cruces under any circumstances, but going to Tucson you get close in New Mexico terms. It's more plausible than I thought originally.

        1. The Hyperbole   11 years ago

          Safford to Sante Fe

          1. Pro Libertate   11 years ago

Do you know the way to Santa Fe?

            1. The Hyperbole   11 years ago

Just be sure to make that left turn at Alberkerkee

          2. Spoonman.   11 years ago

            That requires eschewing an interstate.

    2. Agammamon   11 years ago

There're prisons in Douglas, Tucson, and Yuma - in both cases its quicker to drive south then west from Alb to get to them.

I'd say they went to Yuma. Las Cruces is about a 8 hour drive from there

  4. Fist of Etiquette   11 years ago

What happens when an irresistible force meets and irresistible force? STOP RESISTING.

  5. This Machine Implies Consent   11 years ago

Ugh. Las Cruces. Spent a few weeks there once, commuting to Holloman every day; there's really not much to do there except maybe get drunk and exercise (and I guess shoot each other).

  6. Fist of Etiquette   11 years ago

    Repeat.

    1. MikeP   11 years ago

A Brickbat so nice, they posted it twice.

  8. An Innocent Man   11 years ago

This happened again!? With the same two guys? You'd think they'd learn.

    1. invisible furry hand   11 years ago

They'll keep doing it until they get it right

      1. Steve G   11 years ago

Wait, we're still talking about the editors right?

    2. Pope Jimbo   11 years ago

So more of a zombie scenario, than a messiah rising 3 days after dying deal?

I hope he put one in the brain this time.

  9. Heroic Mulatto   11 years ago

This story is bullshit. It's just viral marketing for the upcoming gritty reboot of "The Amazing Chan and the Chan Clan".

    1. invisible furry hand   11 years ago

If there isn't added donkey, I ain't paying to see it

  10. Almanian!   11 years ago

This actually happened decades ago, and was the inspiration for the movie "To Kill and Kill Again"

    True story....
