Florida Medical Marijuana Initiative Fails
Needs 60 percent of the vote.
With 24 percent of the vote, Florida's medical marijuana initiative is currently failing. Though it has majority support, 56 to 43 percent, the initaitive requires 60 percent of the vote to pass.
Update: With 66 percent of vote counted, the yes vote stands at 57 percent, not enough to reach the 60 percent threshold.
We will update with final numbers.
Update: With 91 percent of the vote counted, the yes vote remains at 57 percent. Thus, the initiative is projected to fail.
