The Cannabis Cup has been held annually in Amsterdam since 1987. I'm sure there are others too with the burgeoning sort-of-legitimate US marijuana market.
There are competitions in Vancouver, Copenhagen, Amsterdam and now Seattle and Denver too. It's a thing, an awesome thing.
