Pacific time? That's more socialist than the metric system.
There should be no public pension at the municipal level. The local cronies will just fleece the municipal tax payer with pensions paying three times the median income.
Pensions for all Americans with a Social Security Number should be paid at the federal level and should be means tested. Plus, the payout should never ever be more than the US median income.
The reason private pensions like GM failed is because expecting a company to be perpetually solvent into the future is unreasonable.
Scott Shackford is truly an inspiration. His tale of heroism and survival in the face of the Antarctic winter is truly uplifting.
