Brickbat: Don't Smoke 'Em If You Got 'Em

Officials in Denver have warned the Colorado Symphony Orchestra against a planned bring-your-own-marijuana concert, saying it violates state and city laws against public consumption. In a letter, the city licensing office warned organizers that it would use "any and all options" to stop the event and to hold them as well as individuals attending the concert responsible for any violations of the law.

Public?
"It's a private event, on private property," Bond told 7NEWS.
Ah, there it is.
"any and all options"
How many divisions does the Colorado Symphony Orchestra have?
About the same as the Pope?
Some Popes are more interested in multiplication than divisions...

In other words "you can smoke your pot but you can't enjoy it".
What if they agree not to inhale?
What if they agree not to inhale?
Um, what sense does this make? I mean, it is illegal in many places to be drunk in public. How about nudity? It's illegal in most places to be nude in public, but strip bars are allowed. Women can be topless in those places in front of patrons.
I really don't get his rationale here.
Let me see if I can help:
"Because, 'fuck you!', that's why."
hth
I figured as much.
I am guessing Stacie Louks got a call from someone in the Justice Department. If not then she is a cunt who needs to find a new job.
Can't it be both?
Possibly, but it is easy to imagine a scenario where she might be held blameless, as unlikely as that is.

Because MJ is "legal".
Classical music at the radical forefront!
This sounds fun, although they don't list what they'll play. I liked to blast some Beethoven or Mahler, especially the glorious 9th.
Also, fuck those fascists who want to kill fun.
When this first broke (the concert not the city response) my first thought was "Holy shit! Hour symphony IS better than Cleveland's." So suck that Warty.
Also, even the Rs are pretty upset over the cities response but I think it is knee jerk reaction to the D held city.
