National Honesty Day and Asteroid Death-Porn on The Independents
On Wednesday's episode of The Independents, Bill Nye the Science Guy came back on the show for a second time to discuss the planetary doom-threat of asteroids:
And, since it was National Honesty Day, the co-hosts had some frank discussions with one another about their respective deficiencies:
Tonight's theme episode, to be promoted later in this space, is a doozy: Bush administration vets Paul Wolfowitz, Tom Ridge, and John Bolton experience some vigorous exchanges about good and bad foreign policy….

This BETTER NOT be the comment thread for the show tonight.
It won't be.
Well... all right then.
Or what, FoE? OR WHAT!?
I'm sick of your tyranny!
But you are impotent against it.
Bill Nye really is an insecure douchebag.
this
I thought he demonstrated his worthlessness when they had him on last time for the global warming "debate". Or shit, was that Red Eye? Anyways, stop having this guy on. He sucks.
I presume Washinton DC takes a pass on National Honesty Day, right?
It coincides with Opposite Day there.

I'd say "JINX", but I was a minute late CAUSE I ACTUALLY POSTED A RELEVANT LINK

What, no time for reflection regarding National Loyalty Day - 2014?
I hope this glaring oversight is addressed, comrades.
I posted this tribute last night:
YEah - this is a rather important point. Well done!
That's only because the right people weren't in charge. It will work this time, we promise.

I wonder if progtards ever get sick of repeating this mantra, cause I've been sick of reading it for a very long time now.
For purposes of legitimizing that number so I can use it in an argument, does anyone have some sort of breakdown as to where the 100M comes from. I hear it batted around all the time, but if I was called out to justify it I couldn't.
Can someone point me in the right direction?
Black book of communism.

Yeah, I was just looking at that. The web-site breaks down the USSR stuff (20M), but not the ChiComs (65M).
Here's a handy source.
And this is a good book.
This is interesting. Tables 1 and 2 break it down some. Can't vouch for the accuracy.
Sorry. Link.

OT:
My favorite cosplay photo so far this year
Pretty awesome, but why are his balls on the outside of his thighs?
Not only are they on the outside of his thighs, he appears to have elephantitis.
Why is that oompa loompa wearing such a large diaper?
Whoa, Bill, asteroid are my thing (maybe Pro Lib too, sometimes). Back the fuck up (and don't even think about taking up the alt-text cry)!
I like how Bill Nye comes on a libertarian show to argue for an asteroid-killing jobs program.
He had just watched Armageddon with FoE and thought it was a documentary from the future. Because Speed Walker is smart that way.
YOU WISH YOU LIVED IN THAT WORLD WITH HARRY STAMPER UP THERE PROTECTING YOU.
I love how Bill Nye mocks his 2nd grade teacher about the demise of the dinosaurs. Yes, Bill, a textbook written back in the 50's or earlier, somehow needed to convey a theory that wouldn't even have been formulated for another 20+ years and get accepted for another 20+ years.
Hey, Bill, go ahead and mock science from 50 years ago. Unfortunately for you, though, we can mock you now for your global warming hysteria.
Matt alludes vaguely to a "3 second rule" which I assume is not about food dropped on the floor.
I think its a TV-talk-show thing where no one wants to hear one person talking for more than 3 seconds. Ergo, Kennedy is Interruptus Iustificatus or something.
I assume that's unless the channel is "PBS" or something.
Also, I'm pretty damn sure no one wants Matt to be more "Bold and Adventurous" with his apparel choices. We've seen that, and we cannot ever unsee it, and we simply ask that someone think of the children first before Unleashing the Beast of Matt's 'Bold' style.
Unfortunately, Timecube is gone. Only on Wayback machine anymore...
Time Cube is only a wayback?
Do not adjust your tinfoil hats...Time Cube is gone.
