Just file for an extension like everyone else. I've never heard of anyone getting turned down.

Why does Payne draw heads resembling some accusatory jabbing finger?
1. Snark Plissken 13 years ago

  Cause it's high-larious!
2. UnCivilServant 13 years ago

I always thought they looked like toggle switches.

  I don't get it.

You can get as much time off as you want - so long as you don't expect to get paid for it. With the military indentured servants, that isn't the case. (Something about throwing them in prison if they run off the plantation).

  What am I not seeing?
  1. WTF 13 years ago

You're not seeing that Rall is a moron.
  2. Atanarjuat 13 years ago

Basically, the joke is, having bosses fear mass shootings is even better for getting unearned goodies than having them fear a strike. But when you try to work in smug anti-gun talking points (ie, panel 2) it distracts the reader.
    1. Ted S. 13 years ago

Unless, of course, the boss is a quicker draw than the employee. And carries openly, since he owns the business.
    2. SusanM 13 years ago

Well, you're always saying an armed society is a polite one 😉

Although Rall is indeed a rampaging, often irony-impaired (like when he complains about lost profits from people pirating his books advocating socialist revolution) leftist he at least claims to be 2a friendly.
2. Scruffy Nerfherder 13 years ago

Is that what passes for humor in lefty circles?
  1. Rich 13 years ago

    That's not funny!

    /Lefty
3. General Butt Naked 13 years ago

I'm just getting a blank page.

  Probably for the better.
WTF 13 years ago

Los Angeles County sheriff deputies mistakenly kill man fleeing assailant.

And nothing else happened.
1. Scruffy Nerfherder 13 years ago

  Procedures - followed
2. Ted S. 13 years ago

The deputies made it home to their families safe and sound.
  1. WTF 13 years ago

Their medal ceremony will be next week.
3. Swiss Servator, Versicherung! 13 years ago

Sickening... and I know Soldiers that have killed armed enemies that were actively trying to kill them, and they are still trying to get over it. I hope these cops can end up feeling remorse and sorrow - but I fear their fellow cops will buck them up with encouragement for all the wrong reasons instead.
  1. Restoras 13 years ago

I'd like to beleive that too but it seems that many cops are actually borderline sociopaths, and therefore unable to feel remorse much less be haunted by their actions.
  2. gimmeasammich 13 years ago

That is yet another reason why former soldiers don't make good cops.
General Butt Naked 13 years ago

"...extends the deadline beyond April is."

April is what? Finish the fucking story man.
neoteny 13 years ago

Dude has a CRT? That's like below poverty line, isn't it?
1. UnCivilServant 13 years ago

  He's a hipster who's into retro-tech.
The Late P Brooks 13 years ago

How am I supposed to know what's happening here? Where are the labels?
Almanian! 13 years ago

Late to the party because -work- aaaaaaaand....totally not worth it.

Horris. Wretched. And, therefore, perfect.

Happy fucking Friday, Reasonoids. Hope you all die in a fire. I mean...have a nice day!
Will4Freedom 13 years ago

I would have smiled if the 1040 had a blue box on it that said "I testify that I 'TRIED' to complete my taxes on time, but couldn't" [ check blue box for extension ]

No need for the ladies or bubble talk.
mplspolitics 13 years ago

Well I found out where Tony's been lately:

Tony3055:
"Most of the made up stories criticizing ACA are pure lies and fabrications. Of course no law is perfect and does effect a few people adversely for the greater good. This one is no different. The insurance industry, medical industry with the right wing but cases hate Obama for instituting the new law which they think will hurt a few of them but will help this nation"

1. sasob 13 years ago

Hmm. Yes, I suppose stories would be lies and fabrications, if they are made up.
sasob 13 years ago

"He's hoping Obama unilaterally extends the deadline beyond April 15."

So how come the cartoon doesn't show one of the guy's hands filling up with shit?
1. sasob 13 years ago

Actually I guess both hands are - he's holding a copy of form 1040.
