A police officer sees a man driving around with a pickup truck full of Squirrels. He pulls the guy over and says... "You can't drive around with squirrels in this town! Take them to the zoo immediately." The guy says "OK"... and drives away. The next day, the officer sees the guy still driving around with the truck full of squirrels, and they're all wearing sun glasses. He pulls the guy over and demands... "I thought I told you to take these squirrels to the zoo yesterday?" The guy replies... "I did . . . today I'm taking them to the beach!"
"It's a boring day, I got nothin' to do, except get a load of retards squirrels, and drive 'em to the zoo!"
Load 'em on a bus just for laughs
Down a winding road stepping on the gas
Down a winding road just daydreaming
Down a winding road with the retards squirrels all screaming
Hello.
Too lazy. I thought to swamp it with an endless stream of gibberish but then I remembered Tony comments here.
With you. Last comment until someone else tells me it's fixed.
Starting... now!
I posted this late last night but thought it was worth putting it up again:
1. There is hope and change.
2. Not only are there libertarian women, but there are HOT libertarian women.
3. I am smitten.
"TAKE IT OFF!!!!"
Did she have a pollution permit for that burning?

Me too, but like you I am married and that little hottie is young enough to be a daughter to either one of us.
I can see it now....the smirk on the waiter's face when you ask him to bring your 'niece' a menu.
I love playing a fun game of "2nd wife or daughter?" when I'm on vacation.
This girl's a few years older than my daughter, and I never married, so you might say I'm at a happy medium.
My wife sent me the link.
I married well.
Somebody needs to tell her not to despair, big government works great, in fact its the tits. We just need the right top men and life will all be magical unicorn farts covered in sprinkles.
I'm sure plenty of her Obama still-supporting friends have tried.
Sounds like she had a pretty similar "conversion" to me. Started off as culturally liberal, assumed that politicians identifying as liberal actually were at all liberal, then eventually started paying more attention and realized that those people are anything but liberal.
Eh, she's still no Kathryn DeLong, who was always pure.
...Go on.
Ukraine is now planning to pull its troops from Crimea...
Bunch of cutandruninskies.

"Eh... what about gay athletes, will they allow gay athletes to play?"

To be fair, one of the UK papers (I think the Telegraph?) did a rather scathing report on those conditions last year. Which mostly met with a "meh" from FIFA.
The only thing FIFA cares about is RACISM. And by care I mean tell the Italian fans to save the banana throwing until AFTER the game.
RannedPall, why are singling out Italian fans you fucking retard?
You know that the racism in Spain is worse, right?
England is not without its checkered past. Russia has vicious ultras.
In fact, the racism issue goes across the world. I'm gonna have to go out and deem you a non-soccer fan because if you were you wouldn't single out ONE country.
Keep your pants on canuck, I do follow soccer, religiously. I know that racism in Europe is much more prevalent in soccer, and sports there in general, than in North America. I only singled out Italy because the immediate incident that came to mind was that of the Roma/Milan game being called off because the Roma fans were chanting racist shit at Balotelli. So, I'm chalking up your angry outburst to the discovery that your pet moose drank all your Crown Royal, or maybe you're just sick of the commentariat bagging on soccer. In any case, I'd be more than happy to school you in FIFA or on a real pitch any day 🙂
I watch soccer pretty much every day and I have not heard this story.
Amazing.
I've heard it since before construction even began. Which is to say that Qatar had this problem long before the World Cup was brought there. I wouldn't be surprised if that 900 number included non-World Cup construction.
You'd think this would be something the higher ups a FIFA would think about before accepting their bribes.
I remember some kerfluffle over choosing a shithole oven for a World Cup, but this... this is just beyond scandalous. It is absolutely disgusting of FIFA to keep mumsies over this disgrace.
I'm with you, only because I don't have a choice. About 10% of my post make it.
Her failing health had convinced a judge to expedite a marriage license for the couple before the official start date.
Same sex marriage licenses only for those who are almost guaranteed to take "unitl death do us part" seriously?
Yeah, not sure if it was a gesture or there was something at stake here that required a specific date.

Kentucky legislators have passed a bill that would allow politicians to run for two offices at once, which would allow Sen. Rand Paul to run for president while still trying to hang on to his Senate seat.
Are we sure they're not doing it so McConnell can run for senator and dog catcher, just in case?

'Ring of Death' Throttles Georgia as Small Banks Close: Economy
While the Federal Reserve and U.S. Treasury rescued major banks amid the 2008 financial crisis to avert a meltdown of the nation's financial system, the bailouts didn't prevent the collapse of about 500 small lenders. Their disappearance, part of a syndrome of economic weakness, still weighs on growth and employment in dozens of counties across the U.S.
"It will be difficult to fill the void left by failing small banks," said Mark Zandi, chief economist at Moody's Analytics Inc. in West Chester, Pennsylvania. "Small bank failures matter a lot to the communities in which they operate, especially in non-urban areas. Small banks are key to small businesses."
Counties that experienced bank failures from 2008 to 2010 saw income growth reduced as much as 1.43 percent, job growth cut as much as 0.5 percentage point and poverty rise as much as 1.4 percent in the following year, Fed economist John Kandrac reported in research presented last October at a community banking conference at the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis.

Georgia's #1 problem. I live here - don't fucking fuck with me unless you bring some logic or knowledge. Georgia leads the nation in bank failures with 88 since the Bush meltdown began.
Ted Turner is/was down there too.
Oh wow he's going all internet tuffgai.
Bank closures aren't a 'problem' when there are too many fragmented banks. America's banking sector needs consolidation.
Spoken like a true Canadian where a few massive and highly regulated banks reign.
Bad banks failing is a GOOD thing. It will make the remaining ones healthier and more careful. I'm envious that Georgia is ahead of OH in this way.
What the fuck? You mean we need more Too Big To Fail banks? You are way off the mark, Cyto.
He is a fucking Canuck.
Toronto Dominion, Royal Bank, they are the epitome of regulated monster Too Big To Fails.
Georgia's #1 problem. I live here
haha. don't be so hard on yourself 😉
Yes your living there would rank at the top of any states problems
Oh, how I wish I could study economics and get a PhD so I can say stupid shit like that an get away with it!
They can always apply to appear in Shark Tank.
And here I thought that the reason small banks are failing is because they don't have the wherewithal to keep enormously expensive legal departments that the big banks can afford to have to waddle through all those terribly-burdensome banking and financial regulations - the same banking and financial regulations those big banks lobbied for.
By the way, looks like the comments module is working again!
I commented plenty on the Blooomberg article, OM.

Where can I enter the reason NCAA contest?
Montana Mike set up a bracket but you need the group # to access it and he didn't post that (Yahoo changed their log on - you used to just need the name of the group).
I've been looking to participate again as well. I'll check back later if someone can post the # or you can email it to address in my handle if you don't want to post it. Thanks!
I couldn't find the NCAA pool so I created another one on Yahoo

Soon you will be able to visit a Ferrari theme park without worrying about being executed because a pot seed is stuck to your shoe: new Ferrari Land planned for Spain.
Details have yet to be worked out for the ?100 million (US$136 million) park, but Ferrari promises "new and exciting attractions" that will include Europe's highest and fastest vertical accelerator; a luxury five-star establishment with 250 rooms, restaurants, and a driving simulator; and Formula 1 car exhibits and a slot-car ride.
Great. But why would you go to Ferrari Land if they don't let you drive a Ferrari?
People go to Six Flags and don't fly even one damn flag.

I read that this morning. Evidently HP is the largest company with a female CEO and CFO and they started a minority out reach program to help open businesses. HP should learn their lesson and just make best business decision, because you can't appease a race hustler.
I love what Coors did to JJ.
I'm not familiar. Please share.
He shook them down, and though he was getting a campaign donation in a private meeting with their executives. Instead, they put a dossier in front of him that contained a year's worth of investigations into his personal and business practices. He walked away without saying a word.
Coors later caved in and started making "donations", which sucks.
JJ has to be dirty. Why does no one black mail him into obscurity?
Blackmail!?
Racist!
P.S. donate $5,000,000 to a bunch of charities I sit on the board of and I'll stop calling you a racist
Mostly because he is not ashamed of anything he does.

Modern Farmer has a nice article on a type of beer which I hadn't heard of before: bi?re de Mars.
"Compared to the Franco-Belgian styles known as saison and bi?re de garde, bi?re de Mars is rare and poorly documented, so defining what historical examples tasted like requires work bordering on the archaeological. One of the only clear things is that farmers helped invent it. More than almost any other beer, bi?re de Mars evokes a seasonality that characterized premodern brewing, which took place when temperatures were relatively cool: in March, for instance."
I thought that was called M?rzen or M?rzenbier.
FTA, M?rzens are lagers, bdMs are/were lambics.
And if he wins both?
He'll pull the ultimate troll move, resigning as President to continue serving in the Senate.
He'll sell the Senate seat a la Blagojevich.

Self-righteous, liberal justice. Spotted this from a website: "For me, comfort comes from knowledge, not material things or even personal relationships. Like... I take great comfort in knowing a gay friend of mine who worked at Chick-fil-a jerked off into the pickles quite frequently during the time when anti-gay dipshits were lining up outside the door to eat there. No matter how down I'm feeling, that knowledge never fails to make me smile."
Beatings. I mean. If my kid got sick because of that piece of shit...beatings.
I'm going to assume that person is OK with being a liar, because there's no way that happened.
Which only goes to show you don't know a lot about fast food service. Not to defend a creep like that, of course.
What Sloopy said, plus the work environment at a Chick-Fil-A. You could easily pull that off at a Burger King or a Hardees, but it would be damn near impossible at a Chick-Fil-A. They have a dozen employees working at any given moment that would notice, and the employees don't even have any free time to rub one out into the pickles.
Was posting more to showcase how retarded liberals can get when it suits their cause. Not that I think they're all that principled to begin with.
Exactly. Everybody knows that you piss into the pickles and jack it into the mayo.
Or if you work at Dunkin Donuts, just pull your pants down and fuck the dough at 3 AM.
Your food truck is going to need lots of hidden cameras.
Only in the walk-in fridge/toilet.
This made me picture sloopy calling for help, because his ass was froze to the bowl.
Yep. Everybody knows chick-fil-a doesn't hire gays.
Well, whenever I'm sad, I think of the fact that somewhere, right now, in an Amazon distribution center, there is a giant crate of unused butt plugs sitting next to a crate of Barbie dolls.
Instant depression cure.
Hmm, I do remember that one time the chik fil a sauce tasted a little...fertile.
I hope a lesbian snail-trail's his straw at a bar for working at chick-fil-a.
And that one worked? Tha fuck? I guess they turned off linking.
Ukraine is now planning to pull its troops from Crimea as Russian forces start taking over military installations there.
When it comes to international affairs, might is right.
Ultimately it is.
This is the only sensible move. Ukraine can't beat Russia in a war and no one else is going to get involved because of Russian Nukes. Combine that with the fact that the populace of Ukraine was decidedly split into factions on whether to be aligned in the Russian or European spheres of influence and this allows the rest of the Ukraine to go forward as a more unified country allied to the west.
Yes, a more unified country--without its warm-water ports, factories, and valuable natural resources. I'm sure they'll do fine.
But Obama, the Smartest Man to ever occupy the White Hose, said the time is long past when a country can do what it wants over the heads of democratically elected leaders. How can this be so?
Bugs have already evolved immunity to GMO Corn
Pretty reasonable. I think we can level plenty of hate at Monsanto for manipulating data on this and their outrageous patents. But GMO's are safe for people, animals, and the environment.
The Earth was almost hit by a solar storm in 2012.
Our planet was on the opposite end of the orbit from where the blast hit in our rotational orbit. So We were spared. But they say it would have completely wiped out our power networks and satellites.
Yes, we do need a massive investment to upgrade our power networks in order to avoid something that will completely cripple our economy for years. But then again, I'm sure Krugnuts will say it will be a huge economic boon to have all our power wiped out by a solar storm.
Maybe this is a sign we need to be less dependant on technologies that can fail.
Uh...
Agreed. We need to develop cost-effective, renewal alternatives to the Sun.
I think the earth got hit with a solar storm in the late 1800s and it took down all the telegraphs. I could only imagine what it would do to a modern America.
The Carrington Event of 1859.
Cripple our economy?
The documentary I saw on this said it would knock out anything with a computer chip (just like EMP). Nothing would work that wasn't in a Faraday Cage. The estimate one guy was giving was one person in ten would survive, most dying from starvation.
I don't know how accurate that prediction is, but it could be a whole lot worse than a ruined economy.
Well, yes, the destruction of civilization as we know it.
I know we discussed this before, but did you say your garage was a Faraday Cage?
I thought about it. Didn't do it. Not even sure it could be done and be able to use the doors.
I remember when that fucking idiot Tim Cavanaugh penned an article on here arguing that such concerns were only the domain of loony prepper nutcases. And he stood firm in his ignorance when the commentariat took him to town.
I think this guy is trying to give Genghis Khan a run for most descendants. 98 kids so far.
the child support payments would be back breaking in the US!
He now donates his sperm in the "traditional way". Using the apparatus God gave him rather than a syringe. "Much better chance of conception," he says.
You DOG!
What a gig, even with married couples.
The fuck was the reasoning behind that?
Probably getting laid by hot and kinky European women.
Oh I get his reasoning, I meant the banners. That's probably a dumb question because FYTW.
Sorry, I had my mind on hot and kinky Europeans.
The bans, though, are probably due to (likely overblown)fears about STDs or hereditary illnesses.
Probably something about the resulting children needing to know their bio dad's family medical history.
Walder Frey?
The system at my work is also full of squirlz right now. I can't work and I can't goof off and I don't know what to do.
A Texan tragedy: ample oil, no water
Fracking boom sucks away precious water from beneath the ground, leaving cattle dead, farms bone-dry and people thirsty
Ranchers dumped most of their herds. Cotton farmers lost up to half their crops. The extra draw down, coupled with drought, made it impossible for local ranchers to feed and water their herds, said Buck Owens. In a good year, Owens used to run 500 cattle and up to 8,000 goats on his 7,689 leased hectares (19,000 acres). Now he's down to a few hundred goats.
In Texas alone, about 30 communities could run out of water by the end of the year, according to the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality.
Nearly 15 million people are living under some form of water rationing, barred from freely sprinkling their lawns or refilling their swimming pools. In Barnhart's case, the well appears to have run dry because the water was being extracted for shale gas fracking.
http://www.theguardian.com/env.....l-no-water
We're fracking our asses off! Fuck you Obama!
Hmm, if only there were a series of states that, due to a business unfriendly environment, are losing people, but are near huge bodies of fresh water.
I mean, wouldn't it be nice if we had huge, almost sea-like lakes to get fresh water from? Why, those lakes would be great!
Sadly, you're right, no such thing exists.
OK, I'll bite. How can Lake Superior sell water to Texas?
You put into to tanks and ship it? Like, by rail, or boat down the Mississippi, or even truck?
I mean, if Poland Springs can ship small plastic bottles all over the country, I don't see why big metal tanks present such a problem. The vehicles could even be powered by natural gas, to complete the loop.
You're not the first to think of that
http://prairiehome.publicradio.....time.shtml
Well also there's this from wiki:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Water_export
Hey! I have an idea! Let's pool some capital and build a water-delivery system that will cater to a few thirsty consumers!
Oh, wait, no. We can't. Peter Caca made it clear through insinuation that there's NO way private businesses can deliver water.
Oh, bummer.
I got me an idear! Let's transport water using this here liquid filled channel
I will say, having lived in the Southwest, whenever I see that Iowa has flooded, I go, "You motherfuckers have too much water, and we have too little. HOW HAVE WE NOT FIGURED OUT A WAY TO EQUALIZE THIS YET?"
Can we cut a ditch from Missouri to Dallas?
///
Yes.
Next question?
You start digging!
I will bring a video-recorder!
Re: Peter Caca,
Why? You asked "can WE cut a ditch". That doesn't imply you and me - "we" can mean you and your mommy. I merely indicated that you (and your mommy) can perfectly dig a ditch.
Re: Peter Caca,
And Peter Caca obviously accepted this piece of journalistic claptrap hook, line and sinker. Because racism, I guess...
"Peter Caca"?
Palin's Buttplug is more difficult to write quickly plus not being safe for work, so I'm unilaterally changing his nom de plum to something that better resembles him.
Oh, OK. I thought perhaps you were referring to Santorum.
Ahem:
I thought regulations by Clinton re: water usage for farming and industrial uses fixed all the water problems caused by farming and such.
That was the reason they sold the US on limiting toilet flushes - that they had already regulated and gained tons of efficiency (IE - less water used) from water usage on farms and the like - regulating toilet bowl flushes for residences would allow them to take those same successes for commercial water usage and gain them in residential usage.
But that didn't work I guess. What's the proposed solution then? More regulations?
There's no better way to deplete the water table than by pumping water into the ground. Or something.
The obvious solution is just to ban people from having yards and pools. For the greater good of course. Bam problem solved, you're welcome.
And in NO way will the government allow that system of rational allocation of resources that is the market to operate, no sir! Water is a right - if you can get it.
When you make the price of something near zero, you can bet your sweet ass people WILL overuse it.
Buck Owens?
From Hee Haw?
What this article seems to conveniently omit is that it also comes after decades of citizens using water as if they lived in a tropical rainforest because the government set price controls on water, making it already scarce.
Cracked has gotten super preachy lately:

Seriously, I go to that site to be amused and laugh, not harangued about the latest PC cause du jour.
Hey, eventually you run out of things to make funny lists about. These apples are from the bottom of the barrel.
Isn't your whole fucking diatribe dedicated to the view that what men do is bad and women have the magic intuition for worthwhileness? God, fuck this shit.
I think the best part is "nobody should be doing investment banking" which is a nice way of saying "I think the global poor should stay starving and shoeless, because FEELZ!"
(and the legal right to be paid maternity/paternity leave to raise their devil spawn)
Here we go. Rights... not what so many people think they are.
Yeah, cause wouldn't a legal right to maternity leave have to include a legal right to a job?
As the unemployed are all denied this "right" aren't they?
Seriously, would you feel less harangued about trans stuff if you tried to look at it as a form of trans-humanism rather that something sex-related?
I think my main problem, and a question I haven't heard adequately addressed, is this: If someone said that they were born with the wrong face, and got multiple surgeries to reconstruct every single facial feature, we'd let them do that, but think that they had a severe form of body dimorphism or another psychological problem.
When it is the genitals, because it has been added to the whole gay rights cause, we go, "Oh, you poor, oppressed person!"
I honestly feel the same way about the way gay rights and AIDs activism go hand in hand. It made sense in the 80s and probably until the mid 90s, but now it just seems a really odd combination, and honestly one that probably hurts homosexuals when they are trying to get other things like same sex marriage.
I don't know, in the US men who have sex with men are still a highly disproportionate percentage of new HIV infections. I'd think they would still go hand in hand if only to serve to educate their own community.
I had a really long and insightful post of which the squirrels disapproved.
I'll be damned if I'm retyping it, though. LSS: It's "when it comes to the genitals" that also pisses off people the most. Maybe it's because of the association with gay people that hurts. Although, for most people, telling drag queens apart from trans people is like someone trying to tell a conservative from a libertarian - superficial similarities hide fundamental differences.
As far as psychological stuff goes, there's a system in place to remove the nuts (before the nuts are irreversibly removed). It's not easy to fake out. It's not perfect but it works. So, thinking that all trans people have some disorder is erroneous.
Isn't that gauging the issue by how far those claiming the problem are willing to go though?
I mean - believe as you will and I honestly have no strong fight here - but it's not really objective to say "most really, really, really seem to want it".
If it is - then all reasons a suicide bomber suicides must be true too... because they really, really, really believe it. Up to and including giving up their lives for those beliefs.
No, it isn't. The screening process has nothing to do with "wanting" anything. It has to do with ensuring the clients are thinking rationally about what they plan to do and able to fully understand the consequences of the actions they undertake.
Even if that weren't the case I really don't see how gender transition causes any particular, tangible harm. Oh sure, it confounds and sometime offends but since one of the mottoes of Libertopia is "you don't have a right to not be offended" I can't see where ruffled feathers are an actual harm.
I can't imagine being in this good a shape: Record breaking climb out of the Majilis al Jinn cave in Oman.
Elite climbers Stefan Glowacz from Germany and American Chris Sharma have scaled the overhanging roof of the Majilis al Jinn cave in Oman for the first time ever.
The cave lies in the eastern part of the al Hajar Mountains in Oman. It is the second largest cave cavern in the world.
The climbers reached it from above through three collapsed craters. The only way to get inside the cave is by abseiling 160 meters down. There are no ground-level entrances.
Both Glowacz and Sharma made it from the bottom of the Majlis al Jinn Cave back to the Earth's surface, much to the bewilderment of the locals.
"PD Scott|3.19.14 @ 4:53PM|#
I can't imagine being in this good a shape"
Rhombus?
It's really amazing what good climbers can do. You really have to have the right body type, though.
I have the right body type, but have never been in good enough shape to do anything inverted for any significant distance (and that's with safety gear that I know will save me if I fall).
as a former climber, this is indeed awesome, FWIW.
That said - I still think most of the 'groundbreaking' stuff earlier in the days of sportclimbing are even more incomprehensible and jawdropping, just considering the fact that techniques were still being invented, gear was pretty crappy, and people still lead routes from the bottom up without eyeballing every square inch with a preview-descent.
What about social climbers?
No rope, no net - the most-dangerous climb of all.
Well noted, Paul.
What's next for Putin? Elbonia?
Quick, switch to a new metric, this one isn't making us look very good!
Nuevo unemployment rate = (old unemployment rate)/1000
Is because "employment" is going lower and lower, but the economy's not getting any better? That I could see.
Lessee, the U.S. pays eleventy million people to not work, and they're not counted as 'unemployed', economy sucks. Wonder why.
I meant, "unemployment" going lower and lower.
And the inevitable proggie pimping of the NASA "study" begins.
This time, if you don't do exactly what we want, we really will all die. We promise. For realz.
And if do what the proggies want we'll also die. How will we ever choose?
The best part (or the worst, depending on the point of view) is how the report feels like nothing more than a rehash of one of Jared Diamond's books ("Collapse: How Societies Choose To Fail Or Succeed") that arrives at similar conclusions which are also completely wrong or based on the wrong premise: that society and empire are the same thing.
"the best part ...is that the report feels like..."
Sorry, it's late in the afternoon, I want to go home yet it is not that time yet. Sorry for the bad grammar.
Comments say, the right people, in charge, they should be:
What we need is a Marxist system. We do need to steer clear of autocrats, however.
Does not compute.
What about the topless swim of Cameron Diaz yesterday in Mexico? Has no one linked the pics?

I'm a little too steeped in Medieval/Renaissance history to be fooled by the likes of you.
Why women rightly fear failure.
