Sen. Cruz Backs Sanctions on Ukrainian Officials
Wrote a blog post on the crisis for the Heritage Foundation's blog
Sen. Ted Cruz called for sanctions against Ukrainian officials in an op-ed that argues the world should not be "distracted" from what's happening in the protest-ravaged nation.
The Texas Republican published an op-ed Wednesday night for the conservative Heritage Foundation's blog saying the U.S. should act to defend its interests in the former Soviet country, where dozens of people have reportedly died in the past few days in violent protests against the Ukranian president.

It appears the Ukrainian people are badly treated by their government; I wish them well.
We are also badly treated by our government and that is where our government's attention needs to be focused. We are being treated as subjects to a king by the egomaniacal liar in the WH; congress needs to work on that.
