Opposition to Comcast-Time Warner Merger May Be Snowballing in DC
"Public interest groups" opposing deal
Snow piled up in Washington on Thursday — and so did quick opposition to Comcast's play to buy Time Warner Cable.
Reports of the $45.2 billion deal, in fact, were barely 2 hours old when statements against the blockbuster merger first landed from public interest groups Free Press and Public Knowledge. If completed, the deal will have a major impact on the pay-TV and broadband Internet markets.

While I don't normally advocate government interference in business, I'm personally happy at any prospect of not being handed over to Comcast.
That is, however, the price of being a state-sanctioned monopoly, in my opinion, more meddling in your affairs (not that this meddling wouldn't happen in other businesses without monopoly powers)
I say if they are going to be in bed with government to support their monopolies, they deserve any blockage same government enforces on their actions. And mostly, Comcast and TWC, FYTW! Hahahaha!
The mere fact of government controls makes mincemeat of the "diminishing" returns of the economic principle that balances the "economies of scale". Those controls tilt everything in favor of better, because the bigger the gang, the more political clout it "offer" to corrupt the system.
