Paul Ryan Not Sure Immigration Reform Will Reach Obama's Desk This Year

Says work has to be done on border security

Rep. Paul Ryan sees a need for Congress to act to improve border security, but is uncertain about whether a broader immigration bill will reach President Barack Obama's desk by the end of the year.

"Doing nothing on the security side of this, we think, is not a responsible thing to do," the Wisconsin Republican said in an interview aired Sunday on ABC's "This Week," responding to commentator Bill Kristol's suggestion that the GOP focus on attacking Obamacare—and not on immigration—to win congressional races this fall.
