Sen. Cruz Calls GOP Immigration Plan 'Amnesty'
Thinks it would be a mistake
Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) on Thursday blasted as "amnesty" a House GOP plan to give legal status to millions of immigrants living in the country illegally.
"I think it would be a mistake if House Republicans were to support amnesty for those here illegally," he said when asked about the proposal to be outlined in the House GOP's immigration principles.
Other Republicans in the House who support the plan have gone to great lengths to dispel the notion that granting legal status would be amnesty.
During a Bloomberg News breakfast, Cruz said the immigration focus should be on border security and streamlining legal immigration. He mentioned another proposal he supported to increase visas for high-skilled workers.

Holding protest signs isn't going to do it. You now have a Congress and President that is fully intent on ignoring the laws and in the act of destroying our country. It is not only illegal, it is treason. They are knowingly and deliberately allowing foreign invaders into our country and aiding them in collecting our tax money for benefits. When you have this level of of anti reason then relying on the legal bodies is no longer an option. As the legal bodies are now breaking the law.
The same year I began as a writer and predicted the downfall of our nation I was on the original Minuteman Project. In Naco, Arizona. And I warned that it would have no effect whatsoever. 5000 illegals were coming through a day in the peak seasons. When a border town's safety is not only neglected by their own government but the invaders are given safe haven, civility is no longer the method of protest.
If the GOP passes amnesty then I will not be at the voting polls in 2014. Or 2016.Hillary can have it because really, what's the difference? I won't pretend like my vote matters. If the GOP is going to side with global Marxists then my fiction will be a reality as we collapse. And we will collapse--it has to happen. And at that point figuring out who to vote for won't be the issue. Perhaps forming a Continental Army backed by the National Guard will.
