The massive federal spending bill passed by the House on Wednesday includes $118 million for the uranium enrichment project in Piketon run by USEC, even though the viability of the project and the company are in doubt.

USEC, a Maryland-based global energy company, is about to file for bankruptcy. With enriched uranium prices at rock bottom, the commercial application of USEC's American Centrifuge Project is in question.
