A Washington state lawmaker said Sunday he was just engaging in some sports trash talk when he called the state of Arizona a "racist wasteland."

Democratic State Rep. Joe Fitzgibbon made his harsh comment on Twitter after the Seattle Seahawks' loss to the Arizona Cardinals. Fitzgibbon later deleted his message and said in an interview that people were taking his trash talk a little too seriously.

"If folks are going to take that too seriously, then I'm sorry about that," Fitzgibbon said.

Yeah, I mean who would take seriously anything some bozo state senator says?

Why can't we fire these guys for their bs? We can't, their constituents can, however. But it doesn't tend to be a political liability to be a buffoon in an left wing whack job urban district.

apologies like this remind me of how a person I know used to apologize to me by letting me know how much it sucked that I felt bad about how they mistreated or disrespected me.
