J.D. Tuccille Discusses Interventionism and John McCain's Delicate Foreign Policy Touch on RT
Sam Sacks of RT had me on to discuss John McCain's self-insertion into three-way trade negotiations involving Ukraine, Russia, and the European Union (doing no favors to Ukrainian protesters who want stronger connections with the West in the process). We also discussed foreign policy continuity from the Bush administration to the Obama administration, and just how we get ourselves out of the habit of rattling sabers and playing a very expensive game of stare-down with every tin-pot dictator on the planet. I chime in at about the 3:00 mark.

Dunno what to say about this.
Like it or not, in the eyes of many, that tired old twit represents ME, and I don't like it one but.
Someone who has his attention needs to tell him to shudap and siddown.
So how much money have we raised in the "Get JD to Tattoo '2-Chili' in Gothic Lettering Across his Lower Torso Gangsta Style" fund so far?
This will happen.
Nothing?
Shouldn't the funds be raised in cigs? That way he can get a real authentic prison tattoo and keep his street cred up.
RT? Oh, you mean RUSSIA TODAY!
So, you brought up Pussy Riot, right?
You do no one any favors by appearing on the official Russian propaganda station.
"You do no one any favors by appearing on the official Russian propaganda station."
Cite?
I must have missed the propaganda.
They seem to run the stories that the boot-licking American media won't even mention.
Hardly propaganda.
Um. It's a mouthpiece for the Russian government. It's all propaganda.
It's pro-Russian propaganda, sure, but they do discuss stories the MSM does not, even if only because it makes our government look bad.
It's state-run Russian media broadcast abroad.
So, like Voice of America - but with russians?
Pretty much. I find it amusing that they like to have libertarians on the show because they apparently think a more libertarian US would be a weaker US.

So that's why they do that for Mardi Gras!
OT: for those who don't know. The 18 inch tires on VWs are freaking nail sponges. I just had Raptor freak out moment after discovering yet another flat tire. Note: I have no evidence other than 10 punctures in 9 years on the same car, a 2002 GTI. Your mileage may vary, but I'd like to hear about your experience.
Huh. I had a problem with one of my....Mustangs? Or was it the Taurus? Took it to the dealer, repaired a flat...LITERALLY got another flat on the way home. All nails.
Then had ANOTHER a couple weeks later.
But that was only three in a period of a week or so....never had another problem.
Depends on where you live -- got about one nail or screw per year in my tires in Hawaii, not so much anywhere else.
Are you going off pavement or on the shoulder of the road, where debris accumulates?
Wouldn't blame it on the tires.
Its practically Somalia if they can't pay an old man to drive around in a truck with a big push broom and magnet on the front, like in the county where I reside.
Congratulations on having a proper tie knot, JD. We need to stop this scourge of sloppy knotted, straight sided, possibly 80s knit ties like the one the host was wearing in the bud. *looks in Welch's direction*
hi
OT:
Whole Foods decides the luddite market is worth pursuing:
"Whole Foods Will Stop Selling Chobani Yogurt Next Year"
[...]
"Chobani markets its Greek yogurt as containing only natural ingredients, but it has received complaints from consumer advocacy groups for its use of milk that comes from dairy cows fed with GMO animal feed," WSJ writes."
Now, it's worth looking at that. Let's say the worms which populate the fields in which those cattle graze migrate from a neighboring field which is 'contaminated' by the evul korpurat GMO stuff! Or maybe the cows have to breathe air that might have wafted over an evul GMO field!
It's Mackey's business, but it's my chance to laugh!
John McCain's[...] insertion into three-way
That first sentence troubled me.
AMERICA IS NOT A SUICIDE PACT!
Sometimes man, you jsut have to roll over that hill.

John McCain is only there for a self interest to start a war. McCain is a war thirsty warmonger that the Defense & Oil Industries own. Why is McCain there, he certainly is NO military or foreign affairs expert? Always remember that John McCain says nothing or does nothing unless it's beneficial to John McCain and John McCain only
