Two French Soldiers Killed in CAR

France has confirmed that two of its soldiers were killed in overnight fighting in Bangui, the capital of the Central African Republic, where French forces are taking part in a military intervention approved by the United Nations in response to disorder and violence in the country.
From Voice of America:
France confirmed that two of its soldiers have been killed in the Central African Republic, where they have been working to end months of instability and violence.
President Francois Hollande's office said Tuesday the soldiers were killed in overnight fighting in the capital, Bangui. The statement reiterated Hollande's support for the 1,600 French troops working along with African forces as part of a U.N.-mandated effort to restore security and protect civilians.

Once again, why in the world do we (still) have Voice of America? NPR is not enough taxpayer funded government media?
To broadcast the straight news into communist controlled territory like...California and New York?
This is worth a story/post?
That is a bad 20 minutes in Chicago.
Hey, if France wants to start stepping into the role of Team France, World Police, they are fucking welcome to.

France has heard the bugle call
And you know it effects us one and all
I don't suppose that war will ever end
There's fighting that will break us up again
You'd think they could come up with a better name. I mean, that's really boring and descriptive. How about something from science fiction? You know, Arrakis. Or Ceti Alpha V.
"We're West of Virginia, so..."
Well, there's always the statehood option I've long advocated for the Kurds (Kurdlahoma). Afrikansas?
They seceded from Virginia when Virginia seceded. So to quote Michael Bolton from Office Space: "Why should we have to change our name? They're the ones who suck!"
But did Virginia croon to West Virginia after the separation, "How am I supposed to live without you?"
Still not "hostilities" hostilities, as per the War Powers Act, as per Obama.
The French are there with a tiny force to, in part, attempt to disarm the various factions. These are people who are actually stoning people to death in fighting. Try disarming that, France. God help.us if we end up trying to clean up another French military disaster.
