Newark Budget Audit Shows Undocumented Overtime, Leave Time Pay, Checks Mailed to Dead People
Cory Booker's gone
An audit of Newark's finances shows the city government spent hundreds of thousands of dollars on employee overtime and leave time payouts that it can't document and on three occasions mailed checks to dead people.
A report by the New Jersey state comptroller shows a city with a long-antiquated payroll system that led to employees being paid for time they may not have worked, employees making more than the maximum salary allowed for their job titles and others who mistakenly received supplemental pay for stressful and hazardous duty.

If dead people can vote , they deserve to be paid for their vote.
I have no problem with that.
Dead people are people too, you know. They worked for their money therefore are entitled to it. You right-wingers make me laugh. So what there's inefficiency better that than Wal-Mart refusing to pay dead people a living wage!
Its former mayor will put all that experience to use in the Senate.
Typical government nothing to see here.
