Lawsuit Filed over Navy Yard Shootings
Sister of victim alleges government negligence
The sister of a Navy Yard shooting victim is filing a lawsuit in Tampa today, alleging negligence by the government.
On Sept. 16, gunfire broke out at the Washington Navy Yard. Patricia Delorenzo was nervously watching.
"We were by the TV, we were waiting by the phone, we were just waiting for Mary to call," she explained.
Her sister, Mary Knight, worked there as a cyber-security expert.
"I pretty much just dropped to the floor," she said.
