Insurers Say Obamacare Fix Could Cause Even More Problems
Destabilization and higher rates
President Obama's proposal to help people keep their existing health plans for a year could cause marketplace chaos, according to the nation's largest trade group for insurance companies.
America's Health Insurance Plans (AHIP) President and CEO Karen Ignagni also said the plan could hit consumers.
"Changing the rules after health plans have already met the requirements of the law could destabilize the market and result in higher premiums for consumers," she said.
The president's proposal seeks to quell the growing outcry over millions of insurance plans canceled under ObamaCare — despite the president's promise that if you like your healthcare plan you can keep it

So change costs a pretty penny; how 'bout hope?
..."how 'bout hope?"
If ya gotta ask, well.....
I was an underwriter at a major insurance company as one of my first serious jobs. I can tell you that if I'm an insurance company exec, I've told my assistant to plant him/herself outside of my hotel room and not to let me leave or have contact with anyone (hire security if you must), then I'm getting blind drunk for eight hours. In pretend world, you can wave a magic wand and change insurance policies. In reality, you have no idea the hassle it is to deal with individual states, corporations (hospitals, medical practices, etc...), and clubs/lobbyists/unions. Lemme tell ya, you do NOT turn these guys on a dime.
Oh, and if I'm an insurance top guru? I'm today making plans to move every. damn. job. to. Texas. Then I joins the secession movement.
In a pretend world government meeting, you can wave a magic wand and change insurance policies.
"In pretend world, you can wave a magic wand and change insurance policies. In reality ..." we have a lawless, fascist, irresponsible 0bamanation brat in the White House that is utterly incapable either of growing up of taking adult responsibility (remember it's still "Bush's fault)), like most of his party of degenerate, lawless, fascist, treasonous mendacity aided and abetted by the GOP's incompetence and spinelessness. With a combo like that what could go wrong?!
It's so wonderful to have a deranged, megalomaniac, lawless, fascist White House 0bamanation obscenity that's above the law and can do anything it pleases without bothering with that pesky thing predecessors have had to observe: the rule of law.
