Lame Duck NJ Mayor Promotes Police Officers Who Supported Her
City also settled for $1 million with several officers promoted by the previous mayor when he was a lame duck that the current mayor rolled back
Four years ago, incoming Edison Mayor Antonia Ricigliano railed against the outgoing mayor, Jun Choi, for handing out 10 lame-duck police promotions after voters denied him a second term.
Ricigliano swiftly rolled the promotions back, sparking several lawsuits.
Now, with Ricigliano on her way out of office, the mayor is under fire for making her own set of promotions.
