NH Man Fights for License Plate that Reads 'COPSLIE'
State is denying him
A New Hampshire man told the state's highest court Thursday that denying him a vanity license plate that reads "COPSLIE" violates his political free speech rights.
David Montenegro, of Farmington, said he wanted the plate because he feels it epitomizes government corruption.
Lawyers for the New Hampshire Civil Liberties Union, who joined the case, say the current DMV regulation is unconstitutionally vague and vests too much discretion in a person behind a counter. The policy prohibits vanity plates that "a reasonable person would find offensive to good taste."

I'd bet they'd give him a license plate that read "SKYISBLU"
Just put a neon sign in the back window that says, "Search my rectum!"
I admire his sentiments, but that is like dressing up as a deer and running through the Minnesota woods in the fall.
Instead the state issued him the plate TARGET.
I appreciate his political speech, but as Forrest's mother says, "Stupid is as stupid does."
I dunno. Depends on his objective. If he were working with an activist org and intentionally accepting the considerable risk involved in order to document abuses of power to advance some ulterior motive (via a cam with a real-time cloud upload; activist lawyers in a following auto; etc.) this could be one way to do it. If he is merely indulging a tendency to he a smart-ass, I agree, he might as well pin a badge to his butt cheek and change his name to "Sally Sow".
