Book: Obama Asked Hillary Clinton to Stay On

She declined, obviously

After his re-election, President Obama asked Hillary Rodham Clinton to stay on as secretary of State for another year, but she said no, according to a forthcoming book.

In HRC: State Secrets and the Rebirth of Hillary Clinton, authors Amie Parnes and Jonathan Allen write that Obama posed the question to Clinton during a flight in Asia on Nov. 19, 2012.

The book is scheduled to be released in February.
