Commerce Secretary Penny Pritzker has a message for the rest of the world: Despite the recent government shutdown, "America is open for business" and a great place to invest.
That's the theme of the U.S. government's first-ever investment summit on Thursday and Friday in Washington, where President Barack Obama and other top administration officials will encourage companies from nearly 60 countries to bet more of their money on economic growth in the United States.
