Senate majority leader Harry Reid says that "Everybody" is "willing to pay more" taxes. He said so in an interview with a Nevada Public Radio host.

"The only people who feel there shouldn't be more coming in to the federal government from the rich people are the Republicans in the Congress," Reid told the radio host, according to Roll Call. "Everybody else, including the rich people, are willing to pay more. They want to pay more."

I believe the federal income tax rate for a particular bracket is the minimum amount accepted, not a hard ceiling. I see no reason why "everybody" can't just write a larger check if they really want Uncle Sam to take over the disbursement of a particular portion of their wealth on their behalf. There should be a PSA informing people that the government will gladly accept any overpayments they wish to make.

"Everybody is willing to pay more" taxes. - I am sure this feeling goes from deeply within "everybody", especially when people have no other way out but to apply for money online to make their ends meet, it's all because their desire to increase tax payment.
