Some Macy's Will Be Open on Thanksgiving

Macy's will open at least some stores for the first time ever on Thanksgiving, according to a report from a Chicago newspaper.

It isn't clear as of Monday morning how widespread the Thanksgiving openings would be. USA TODAY has asked a spokesman at Macy's corporate offices in Cincinnati for comment.

The Chicago Sun-Times' Sunday report cites five employees at a Macy's in The Loop section as saying the store will open at 8 p.m. Thanksgiving night and remain open for 24 hours.
